SRLE Extended Mod Suggestions
Hackfield replied to Darth_mathias's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
It would be nice to have Warburg's paper map with those textures -
I've dropped DSR long time ago, NPCs and followers always got stuck their shields in their arms for me, and I had a lot of papyrus warnings, probably not harmful ones, but still. So I switched to AllGearedUp and set it to use just 2 body slot (1 slot for each right weapon/greatsword/battleaxe, 1 slot for each left weapon/shield) It works very well and I can set it to work as Equipping Overhaul if I want to (which I often do). I've never went back to DSR nor EO, AGU is the way to go for me.

That's a serious load order there, a lot of patches and a lot of probably incompatibilities between them. Suggestions: You shouldn't be using the Weapons & Armor_TrueOrcish&DaedricWeapons.esp since CCOR has a version that replace it, also, it should be way down in your load order, right before your bashed patch. Deadly Spell Impacts is known to cause CTD and script issues, I recommend you to only use it as a texture replacement, hiddin the esp and scripts. Burn Frost & Shock effects was also related to CTDs Honestly I'd remove some minors but really heavily scripted mods like footprints, holidays, wonders of weathers, sleep tight, they are very good mods, but in the long run, they can cause a lot of troubles. Holidays hits pretty hard on festive days, Wonders of weathers hits when is raining, sleep tight has some issues with followers (they get naked and never dress after waking up), footprints hits hard allways, is not really recommended to be used along with others heavily scripted mods like campfire, frostfall, wet and cold, ordinator, etc. I believe Touring Carriages was also related to random CTDs in random locations (see Gopher's Stiv playthrough) I would revise the load order in general, there is also this script string length issue now discovered, with such amount of mods, you'll probably facing this sooner or later That's all I can think of now. -
STEP guide missing misinformation on moding ENBlocal.ini
Hackfield replied to Gethal's question in Post-Processing Support
Actually, EnableUnsafeFixes is not related to DataSyncMode nor PriorityMode. The [Thread] section was introduced in the very first release of v303, then he added those fixes enabled by default in a ghost version (v303 from feb 22th), but due to some bugs reports, Boris removed it (all without changin versions). Added https://enbseries.enbdev.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=4880&start=20#p69961 Removed https://enbseries.enbdev.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=4880&start=20#p69966 Then I requested (complained) to add it again (he have it removed because some users had problems scrolling the worldmap, but I didn't and that fix improved the stuttering a lot), so he added it again in v304 as a toggeable parameter Added back https://enbseries.enbdev.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=4887#p69991 Edit: note to self, read the entire thread before posting -
Did anyone try Noble Skyrim? I'm trying it and it looks pretty Ok, wood looks kind of "new", but to be fair, every texture pack has this problem. What do you think?

Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback
Hackfield replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
Unfortunately there isn't any good conversion of the vanilla armors/clothes for UUNP, and believe me, I've tried several, not even the remodeled (skimpy) conversion is good in UUNP (clipping everywhere, really bad boneweights, etc). I really wanted to use Bodygen to give each race a different type of body (big orcs, tough nords and skinny elves) unfortunately, without bodyslide armors, the modifiers are only applied to the naked body. I've tried to "make" vanilla UUNP clothes, I've tried to port the CBBE's to UUNP, but one armor took me like 5 hours (probably because I've never used Outfit Studio before) and it didn't look like I wanted, so I gave up. On the other hand, there are like 3 or 4 excellent (perfect boneweights, no clipping at all) vanilla conversions for CBBE, I almost want to (cry, but also) move to CBBE :( Conclusion? Aparently, only the pervs use UUNP >.> -

That's called a proxy, it's used to load several d3d9.dll binaries. It's commonly used for those ENB presets that make use of SweetFX (a post-process suite) to enhance colors, dithering or just applying SMAA (anti-alias) You use the d3d9.dll of ENB, and rename the SweetFX d3d9.dll to "other_d3d9.dll", ENB then loads its own dll followed by the SweetFX dll. I'd change this to DataSyncMode=0 for now, you can play with it once you know your game behaves properly You said you have a Geforce gtx 610, but this setting is telling Skyrim that you have a gtx950, did you copy this ini from someone else? That's kind of important, I'd reset the ini files (delete both inis and run skyrimlauncher.exe), then make the necessary changes again. This is probably the cause of most of your problems. -

Hi, if you are new to modding (trust me, you'll spend more than a week modding your game, some (maybe most) of us here spend more (waaay more) time modding the game than actually playing it). I think the first and most precious advice is "go slowly", even when the STEP guide is very well done, don't try to install everything at once, try to go (hence the name I suppose) step by step. I.e. install/configure everything in the step 1, then run the game, see if it behaves normally, then proceed to step 2, if not, revisit the step 1, perhaps you missed something. Step 2 is the hardest part, test the game everytime you complete a section, this way you can filter where the problem started to happen. Installing all at once can be as overwhelming as counterproductive, also, make sure to read each and every "detailed information" related to each mod. As for CTDs and longer/infinite loadscreens, make sure you make the right changes in the skse.ini and enboost.ini, detailed information can be found here https://wiki.step-project.com/Skyrim_Script_Extender#Recommendations and here https://wiki.step-project.com/ENBoost#Recommendations That's the most "CTD/infinite loading" topic I can think of right now. P.D. I also speak spanish, so if it's easier for you, we can always talk through PMs. -
Modding advice based on my spec for a stable and fun experience?
Hackfield replied to Final_Fusion's question in General Skyrim LE Support
I've never stated that Disparity was better, I've only said that is similar but up to date, honestly, I've never tried CCO, because it was already old by the time I'd got my copy of Skyrim, but so far, I'm really liking Disparity, together with Trade and Barter kind of "enhances" the racism (which in the vanilla game it's pretty dull and soft, even in Windhelm, I dream with a Witcher-like racism in Skyrim) as for AGU, it does Exactly what DSR and Equipping Overhaul does (well, minus the dropping the weapon and torch). To give you a briefly idea, you can favorite up to 2 weapons of the same type (instead of 1 in EO) each favorited weapon will show on your body, like in EO, it will also show your currently equipped weapons, like DSR, so you can walk around showing 2 swords, 2 maces, 2 staffs, 2 axes, 2 daggers, 1 greatsword/battleaxe, a shield, quiver and bow, all at the same time. Each weapon position, rotation, style, etc. can be modified with XPMSE, and moved, rotated, scaled as you want with Racemenu. Now, what's the catch? Well, the bAllGearedUp setting in the ini files is broken, this mod achieves the same without using that, but each favorited weapon will use a body slot (don't worry, each of them configurable in an MCM menu, so you can change them ingame and not via SkyProc like DSR does). So, you need 12 free slots to show everything (this is the default configuration), but noone uses 2 of everything, so you can reduce the number of slots to the number of weapons you actually use, or you can reduce it down to 2 (one slot for anything in the right hand, one slot for anything in the left hand, shield included), and with that configuration, you achieve the same that DSR does. Honestly, I think AGU is amazing and really underrated, probably because is not as easy to set as DSR or EO, but it is surely more powerful than both. Hope it helps you decide.- 13 replies

Deferred Rendering turning ENB features off
Hackfield replied to Ilteatrhunter's question in Post-Processing Support

Deferred Rendering turning ENB features off
Hackfield replied to Ilteatrhunter's question in Post-Processing Support
As per guide, it enables/disables screen space ambient occlusion (SSAO), Image Based Lighting, Reflections, Particle Lights, and Skylighting. I'm actually using Vividian Vanilla Enb with deferred rendered turned off, not because fps impact, but because I can't stand post-processed anti-aliasing. I, like Kesta, also think that an ENB with deferred rendered turned off could be a nice addition to STEP (vanilla shadows are awful, almost should be considered as a bug) Vividian Vanilla ENB with deferred render off looks really nice and close to vanilla. But since STEP is considering Vivid Weathers, probably a deferred rendered version of Vivid Weathers ENB can be considered too. -
Modding advice based on my spec for a stable and fun experience?
Hackfield replied to Final_Fusion's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Because you can? Honestly, I was using the torch outside, then entered Dragonsreach and it was there that I've noticed the flickering. Then, for testing purposes, I've started to use the torch in several interiors, noticing even more flickers Glad to hear you are working on this! I'm holding a long playthrough (mainly because I've never done the dragonborn DLC, but I also wanted to try new things like Disparity, Trade and Barter and Bodygen (which is a pain in the butt to make it non-skimpy >.>)) Anyway, should I wait until RS - remaster is done or it will take several months?- 13 replies

Modding advice based on my spec for a stable and fun experience?
Hackfield replied to Final_Fusion's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Here are a few things I've noticed in your load order: Why have EFF and AFT? I think they conflict each other, also, AFT is pretty script heavy. I'd switch Convenient Horses for Immersive Horses, it does the same (lack a few features but adds a bunch too) and it's less script heavy than CH CCO is pretty old by now, you could consider Disparity, does more or less the same and it's up to date. Personally I prefer AllGearedUp instead of Equipping Overhaul + DSR, I find it light and less complicated (you can change the slot in game via MCM, and if you set them correctly, you'll use only two slots just like DSR, no need for Skyproc and 2 less esp) I'd really like to move to Relighting Skyrim, unfortunately, because of the limit of lights over 1 mesh and the lack of partitioned meshes, lights tend to flicker a lot more than with ELFX (e.g. light a torch inside dragonsreach, you'll get flickering on stairs, flickering on columns, etc.), sometimes, even without a torch you get flickering on columns in some places. I wish you could fix that so I can finally move to ELE+RS.- 13 replies

FPS drop near Breezehome / Drunken Huntsman
Hackfield replied to Hackfield's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Damn! It was that! Thanks a lot Astakos! Stupid and cute brats, I'm almost bald because of them! Of course, before, when I uninstalled HDT PE, I had also uninstalled XPMSE. Apparently, the problem is when XPMSE's script can't find the HDT nodes in the skeletons, in this case, children's. Installing the XPMSE for RS Children solved the problem. Argh, unbelievable, now I need another mod in my load order....*installs non-essential children* -
FPS drop near Breezehome / Drunken Huntsman
Hackfield replied to Hackfield's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Hi, thanks, I thought I had it installed, apparently I didn't. I'll try that tonight. Also, I've been testing disabling mods one by one (until I almost had all mods disabled) and I think I've found the problem (or at least part of it). It is indeed related to HDT, apparently I have a lot of HDT enabled clothes. disabling HDT physics extension helped a lot, but I've also disabled major mods like CACO, Campfire, Frostfall, Wet and Cold and Wonders of Weather. So I guess it wasn't a faulty mod per se, but a conjuction of several heavy mods affecting that area. I'll do more testing tonight and report back. -

Could this mod be compared/superseded with ONE MOUNTAIN by Gamwich? https://forum.step-project.com/topic/6213-one-mountain-to-rule-them-all-by-gamwich/ Gamwich's meshes include this fixes and some more, I also like his textures, but I think that's relative -
FPS drop near Breezehome / Drunken Huntsman
Hackfield replied to Hackfield's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Unfortunately deactivating crash fixes didn't change anything. And I have Enboost threaded options disabled (set to 0). As for the MergedPlugins.esp, it's a merge of several minor plugins like realistic ragdoll force, no spinning death animation, werewolf bleed out, grass on steroids, gamwich's rustic soulgem plugin, helmetless warrior perks, mighty beasts plugin, etc. i.e. a bunch of minor plugins/edits, no cells nor worldspaces edits there. Mmm, last thing I've updated was ELFX and Realistic Boat Boobing, but deactivating ELFX didn't make any difference and I don't think RBB does any change inside Whiterun :( I'm starting to think is just that zone that has a lot of thing pulling down the fps :( Anyway thanks for the help, I'll try removing some few mods and if I find a culprit, I'll let you know. -
FPS drop near Breezehome / Drunken Huntsman
Hackfield replied to Hackfield's question in General Skyrim LE Support
It happens everytime, with every weather. It's less noticeable at night but I guess it's because there are less NPCs around. I do use a few texture replacers, but I avoid 4k and sometimes even 2k (I care about FPS and I don't find the need of having 2k eyes or 2k plants, not even 1k smoke) Most of the time I stick with vanilla Hi-Res sizes, 2k for diffuse, 1k for normals. Here is the list of mods I'm using If it helps, these are my PC specs:Intel i5 - 4670k (stock clock)16gb ramNvidia GTX980 StrixWindows 10Windows and Skirim are running on a SSD (Kingston HyperX Fury) And I'm Using ModOrganizer -
FPS drop near Breezehome / Drunken Huntsman
Hackfield posted a question in General Skyrim LE Support
Hello Few days ago I've started to notice a massive FPS drop near breezehome, actually, it's a small area that goes from the entrance of whiterun to the market, in that area, my FPS drops to near 30fps, when in any other place I have a solid 60fps I started to deactivate plugins that may affect the area (such like Elianora's Breezehome, notice board and ELFX exteriors) but the FPS drops are still there (all the test were made in a new game, i.e. coc whiterun at the main menu) So I traced a map of the area where the FPS drop is contained. The drop is almost immediate when you enter the zone, and when you leave, the FPS is immediately restored to 60fps. I wonder if there is an occlusion plane in that zone, Probably there is, but I can't find what mod is causing the FPS drop (One would guess that the market area and the wind district should be the most FPS intensive, since most NPCs walk around those areas, but I have a solid 60fps there) Here is my plugins list And here some images I wanna know if someone have or had this issue, or if anyone have any idea of which mod can be causing such FPS drop in that specific area Thanks -

SKYRIMLE Deadly Dragons - Loremonger Edition 2.0
Hackfield replied to I2edShift's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Hi I2edShift, thank you for the update, I still believe this mod doesn't have the attention it should from the staff of STEP. Can I ask you about the experimental DDX version? There is not much information about it, why is it experimental? Is there any changelog? Will someday be out of testing? -
Another necro, but another nice addition and I can't help to wonder why this was never considered for STEP (I'd guess extended) Especially when Bethesda did something similar to this in Fallout 4 (Diamond City is fully decorated during Christmas) I guess this mod is kind of script heavy during holidays? Also I'm not a lore scientist, but this mod seems to take the lore seriously, though, I believe santa's hats and halloween pumpkins are not so lore friendly...

SKYRIMLE Deadly Dragons - Loremonger Edition 2.0
Hackfield replied to I2edShift's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Well, I've always had the loremonger version of this mod, for long playthroughs and with the assault option deactivated, and I've never had any issue (or at least I didn't notice one), as opposed to DCO for example, which has had a lot of issues in my last playthrough. I'd guess the lore version would be the one that fit the most with the STEP, and with the assault option deactivated, as it causes some events to not trigger properly when a dragon spawns.
