  1. This strange issue popped up during my current playthrough. I am running New Vegas modded using the Fear and Loathing guide, with a few of my own additions, but not very many and they shouldn't cause any issues. I am using the Medium pack of NMC's Texture and they are overwritten by the Poco Bueno Texture pack. After about 45 minutes of play New Vegas will crash and a box will pop up telling me it is out of memory. Yes I am using the Fallout New Vegas 4GB updated. I checked the .exe (FalloutMO.exe) using CFF explorer and it says that the >2 GB of Ram is checked. I have never had this issue before, I think Fallout Nv 4GB is not working properly. I don't think it means VRAM, my card should be able to run this game no problem. i5 4670 @3.4 GHZ GTX 760 2GB GDDR5 8GB of RAM @ 1600 mghz Standard 1TB HDD 1920x1080 resolution Any ideas? Thanks in advance. Edit: As usual I end up coming up with my own solution shortly after posting my problem. : I installed the ENB Boost thing and that seemed to have taken care of the problem.
  2. What if you installed it via FOMM? That is what I used to do when I needed to install it quickly. Also, for some reason I cannot download DEIMOS. I get a Nexus error. Is this just me? This is the second file this has happened to for me.
  3. I really think that the Mobile Truck Base would make a good edition to the guide to replace fast travel for a more immersive gameplay experience. I will be adding to my current playthrough so if you want me to make a test log then I can. I will also be playing through The Inheritance, The Couriers Cache, and using Quick Trade.
  4. I almost ALWAYS have problems when using a handheld pip-boy mod, or removing the pip-boy altogether. : Which is why I love the Omni Hi-Res Pip-Boy mod because it makes the regular pip-boy look SO much better. @Falion You should be able to use that mod with no problems. I would load it after the Omni Hi-Res Pip-Boy mod though. I am not sure if the mod replaces any of the screen effects, but it will be fine to place that mod you found below any mod that changes the Pip-Boy i.e. Omni Res. Speaking of screen effects, I am personally using this mod that removes the blurriness when you pause the game. I am using it with no issues, so this mod may be right up your ally. Cheers, Audley
  5. Ya my suggestion: use v1.2.11 and if you are having the Nexus Mod Manager button issue there is a small and easy fix. Go to "workarounds" and in the Nexus Version type in 0.52.2 and this should fix it. If you are not having any problems then don't worry about it.
  6. Really? Interesting. Should have figured you were on top of this. If no one is having problems then don't worry about it (I am posting this for anyone else reading this post).
  7. The hardest part about modding your game is choosing between the mods; generally because you want them all. :p Personally, I would only use the Autopurge Crash Protector as a last resort. I have played through F&L a couple times using the NVAC and the NVSR and I rarely have crashes. Also, as a note EAB: Mod Organizer was updated to .12 to fix the Nexus Mod Manager button issue that was created when they blocked old versions of NMM from accessing Nexus. If anyone is still using .11 then they may have issues using the mod manager button and should apply the fix. Or update to .12.
  8. Welcome Falion! :D "Glad to see a friendly face, almost took you for a raider I did..." just kidding. I was also confused with that NVR3 thing. Generally I just stick to using FCO to make things simpler because I can never seem to get the two to work right. : NVR3 does use FCO assets. Everything made since until FCO was updated. But the author was kind enough to upload the assets used by NVR3 in a separate file. I guess it is really up to you. Personally I prefer FCO because it also changes the faces of the player as well as the NPC's.
  9. Hmm I thought I mentioned that you needed to create a fake data folder, then move everything out once it was done. Perhaps I forgot. : Anyway, ya in the .bat the directory route is predetermined so the data folder is necessary. My bad.
  10. If anything, the topic about that website is unrelated to the forum itself :p
  11. Note: While I am pretty sure this site is safe, do NOT give them your information if you do not feel comfortable doing so. I don't want anyone yelling at me later. :P
  12. Alright! After about an hour of messing around I successfully downloaded some mods from that site. Go to 115.com Do NOT change the language to English You will see a big blue box Under it there will be a bunch of words you don't understand that end in a ? followed by a link Click on said link You will have to sign up using your phone in order to download things It is safe, I did some research and everything seems to be OK The first box asks you what country you are in. If you are in the US click on the drop down box and select the 5th one The second box asks you for your phone number (no dashes or spaces) The third box is for your password 6-20 characters; case sensitive The fourth box is for your verification code; if you entered the previous three boxes there should be something that pops up next to the 4th box. Hit this button and it will send you the verification code. Enter the code in the 4th box and check the small box at the bottom to agree to their terms Hit the large green box to sign up I highly recommend you use Google Translate for this area, it will make things a lot easier Next it will take you to the next part with a bunch of stuff. Just click the small button at the bottom right to skip You should be signed up after this. I don't quite remember what is in the third page but it should be easy to figure out :7 Go to that website linked in the previous page and find a u.115 link It will take you to this confusing page IGNORE everything and click on the yellow button with a cloud Hit the blue box in the bottom right Hit the next blue box You will be taken to your cloud where your downloads are You will see your profile in the upper right with a bunch of numbers, WRITE THOSE DOWN those numbers are your username You can highlight over the .rar and click the down facing arrow to download hit the GREEN box You are good to go :D
  13. Yes. A LOT of them are ads; so be very careful where you click. I will take a look at this again when I get a chance. Update: I found a tutorial
  14. Well, I figured out that the u.115 links are the links to the download. But I cannot figure out where to go after that.
  15. I for the life of me cannot figure it out. Translating services are useless. :
  16. Are you playing a female? I know for a fact that some of the presets will ONLY work with males. If you play as a female some of the ones that only work with males will make your female character look purple or something strange like that (in character creation).
  17. I am sorry you are having so much trouble. : I think we should recap here: So you are following EssArrBee's F&L guide but when you start the game via Fallout4GB it does not start correct? Did you delete all the .ini files in my post above and regenerate them? The problem could very well be that one of the mods is not extracted properly. Go back and make sure that all the .bsa files are extracted properly. If that does not work then I think the next step is to seperately tick off a small section of .esps and load the game. Do this small section by section until the gamer starts peoperly.
  18. The limit is 140. If you are following the guide exactly then you should not have hit the limit.
  19. Generally when NV starts the launcher instead of using NVSE it usually means it is not detecting the .ini information right and it is trying to generate a new one. Start the 4GB launcher outside of MO so we can see if it starts properly. If it does, then we can determine that it is something with MO and not the game itself.
  20. Note: Fallout 3 and New Vegas have some strange physics glitches that can be caused by FPS. For example, if your FPS is capped at 60FPS but your computer is not powerful enough to run at that FPS, sometimes the game engine will try to compensate (poorly) by slowing down the games engine. Making everything happen at half the regular speed or even slower. The opposite is also true. If you set no cap on the games FPS and you are running at a frame rate higher than 60, this will mess up the physics. The game will run at a much faster speed i.e. Your character will run faster, the lip syncing will be off. Both of these will cause the game to be unplayable. The fix is to really make sure the game is capped to what your computer can handle. There is nothing wrong turning off v-sync and capping your frame rate to 40 or even 30 if you need to. Extra Note: This is from my experience so yours will differ obviously. You may or may not have these issues. Also, if you could post your computer specs it would be helpful.
  21. Actually, as I just did a completely new install of NV I noticed that both .ini's ARE the same. One is pretty much an exact copy of the other. It did not used to be this way (at least that I can remember). It should not affect anything. My suggestion: Go to mygames/falloutnv and delete both .ini files Then, go to mod organizer/profiles/(whatever your profile is) and delete both .ini files Restart New Vegas using the launcher (NOT through MO) To generate the .ini files Then, start MO. This should generate two new .ini files making copies of the original onesI think your game could have crashed for two reasons: One is that you did not delete the .ini files for the profile and now you have the Darn UI fonts installed but not the mod itself Two is that you perhaps did not add the command line to the FalloutNV 4GB .exe Either way I don't think you should give up because once you figure it out you can avoid this issue in the future. Not to mention that there are a lot of people willing to help you.
  22. I would remove ENB boost and turn off V-sync. Then cap the frame rate using the Stutter Remover. See what that does. Do not play the game at a higher FPS than 60 or it will mess up the physics.
  23. Just as a note: When I install Wrye Flash for New Vegas, I run it once. Then, right-click and uncheck "Lock Times" and check "BOSS Disable Lock Times". Otherwise, everytime you run Wrye Flash it will mess up your load order. With these settings it will maintain the load order set by MO. Also, make sure that when you installed Wrye Flash that the MOPY folder was placed INSIDE the FNV directory and NOT inside the data folder.
  24. Yes it is. My Easy to follow instructions for installing quick trade: Install Advanced Recon Range Finder (following the Fear and Loathing guide of course) Install Quick Trade Click on quick trade, go to conflicts, hide the hud_main_menu.xml Complete rest of HUD section installation Make sure Quick Trade is loaded before Unified HUD Project and that it is selected in the box when installing UHP. This is how I have been doing it for a while so if that does not work then you messed up somewhere.
