unless you have many mod bsas adding textures, yes.
-
On normal resolutions (1920x1080 or similar) it's very hard to notice the difference if you use the mod author's downscaled versions. The quality decrease might be more apparent when downscaling with ddsopt. On really high resolutions 5760xwhatever it might be more apparent.

Bethesda stops Skyrim Development

SSAO is done by enb, but it comes with some issues (weapon transparencies e.g.), so a bug-free Skyrim-owned SSAO would be awesome. goblins are in SkyMoMod, but that mod comes with tons of other creatures, too. I'll still unmark it for the records ;-) -

That were Bethesda's projects from game jam: seasonal foliage flow based water shader -> WATER/Pure Waters spears with animations: Dragonborn Riekling Spears (not really spears...) kill cams magic kill cams bows stealth arrows -> Mod out there for that? assassins vision -> Probably a mod out there (add predator vision from gopher and enable it for your character via MCM) guards relight paralysis runes -> Many mods add spells, this one should be among one of them? hanging structures moving platforms water currents in dungeons: Dawnguard dark dungeons: Dawnguard follower enhancements and combat -> UFO, AFT, etc. pick and choose. adoption byoh spell combinations goblins -> SkyMoMod high level draugr -> High Level Stuff is added everywhere by mods waygate travel cool new mounts: arvak mounted combat dragon mount: Dragonborn (as good as possible...) soulbug familiar -> summonable creatures are everywhere on the nexus... this one as well? kinect shouts screen space ambient occlusion underwater visuals snow footprints -> Footprints verlet physics ice and fire arrows -> I've seen a mod doing this somewhere werebears: Dragonborn, non-playable lycanthropy tree vampire loard vampire minions -> Skelettal horde (also if not like in the video) vampire feeding -> vampire mods out there add this, if it hasn't been added by Beth themselves (never been a vampire so far...) mudcrab animation tweaks giant mudcrab Green have already been implemented, yellow have been partially implemented, turquois needs to be implemented (don't know any good mods doing those things...) and white ones have been more or less implemented by mods... -
ACCEPTED aMidianBorn Book of Silence (by CaBaL)
torminater replied to EisDrache's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
It's not. Look at this picture. Only the fur colour is changed. Nope. Also the metal is changed, even if it is just so slight. Also the bottom part of leather or whatever it is supposed to be is grey instead of brown. -
Black Circles, z-fighting and texture shimmering

Couldn't you just try the Ultra preset alone, just for testing purposes? make a backup, delete the inis launch Skyrim via the steam launcher, apply ultra preset and launch the game. Load up a game, travel to whiterun and helgen and make out those spots (exiting helgen dungeon and during the cart ride you should see the distant mountain range flicker) EDIT: The driver update didn't fix it for me at all. -

I think grey is the general color of the armor rather than the fur color alone. I like the grey version 1000 times more... xD -
I knew this for quite some time, but there are issues with this (as you have already stated). Also there is loads of clipping when having 2-handed weapons and bows equipped at the same time, but there is no easy fix for that (DSR has it too(see 2 staves equipped), and any other mod attempting the same as well). Clipping is just a big part of Skyrim... xD

Black Circles, z-fighting and texture shimmering
torminater replied to torminater's question in General Skyrim LE Support
high settings doesn't have Ultra distant detail, so of course you don't see z-fighting, since this is (for me and many others) closely tied to Distant detail Ultra settings. -
Black Circles, z-fighting and texture shimmering
torminater replied to torminater's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Hmm, usually that shouldn't make a difference... I've got several videos on youtube about z-fighting, have you checked those same spots with a Skyrim Ultra Preset untweaked? [video=youtube] [video=youtube]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=orcXIA3gnBg [video=youtube] -

Have you maxed your distant detail? If you didn't then that's the reason. I don't have any z-fighting unless I have Distant Detail set at Ultra. -
Apparently this mod requires Dawnguard, though...

Makes sense to me as well.

More likely the next Fallout release. -
Changelog needs to be updated.

Oh, also be sure not to use an SLI setup when filing the issue, since then they'll just say: "Skyrim is best played with SLI disabled" and you'll have to do all the stuff all over again.

Which driver version exactly? Could you please provide your system specifications and ini settings? Thank you. -
Most of the books are found in interiors/dungeons where light sources are (depending on the lighting mod) scarce and not very bright. Are the colors distinguishable under these circumstances or at least torchlight/magelight?
-
It certainly doesn't state it's a realism mod. I think it's best suited for players who play with tons of hardcore gameplaying mods who only care about the challenge and not the immersion.

A Comparison of Water Mods
torminater replied to TechAngel85's topic in General Skyrim LE Discussion & Support
I think it got removed because it alters many cell records... maybe that conflicted with USKP changes or sth like that? Also it didn't work always (mod author states this in the description). -
ACCEPTED Skyrim Improved Puddles (by PCG4m3r)
torminater replied to Yggdrasilion's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Good job! Glad to see the modding community is faster than bethesda on fixing things like this :-) -
Try this: Uninstall Race Menu and start a new game. If the issue is gone, reinstall race menu load up the problematic save and see whether it works again.

FRAPS Shenanigans - Bizarre Physics Issue
torminater replied to DOHstep2013's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Never heard of it... I had a similar problem once though, although I really can't tell why it happened, since I have done all sorts of things with my Skyrim install and lots of stuff i didn't really understand myself. -

That was why I said, that every possible DLC combination needs to get it's own esp, unless PCGamer wants to integrate a SkyProcPatcher (which seems really exagerated...)
