  1. And the upcoming guide changes just got a lot bigger... I sense OMEGA being added...
  2. As a general statement, when using anything with ENB in it's title, you probably want to disable the native AA and use the ENB AA (true for both Boost and full ENB setups). I don't know the technical side of it, but most guides and such I've read make that recommendation, so I pass it on to you.
  3. As it currently stands, SSEEdit counts ESL files towards the 255 limit, which it shouldn't, since the game itself doesn't. Does anyone know if this is going to be addressed in SSEEdit at some point or if it's likely to remain the same? Or if there is a setting somewhere I'm missing that deals with this?
  4. Naturally. Now if I can just get these random CTDs to stop, I'd be in great shape.
  5. Just cause it says HD doesn't mean it's JUST a retexture... although I probably should have caught that. :) Location in the load order (left pane)? Right after Solitude HD, I'd guess?
  6. To the first - ICAIO compatible? That's be the only question I'd ask... To the second - I keep hearing that, and yet have had zero problems with it personally since I installed it. Maybe I'm the exception to the rule, but my general streak of luck would say otherwise. *shrug*
  7. Not entirely certain that's true - I run WIN10 as well, and haven't had any problems. Heck, I even run it in Instanced mode and have no issues, despite notes saying that it shouldn't work that way. I can certainly see why it might look that way though, given what you did... but there should be no difference between running it in WIN7 vs WIN10.
  8. If I had to guess, I think it's the quest you need to look at, not the mods. Some of the Blacksmiths are out in the boonies where it isn't completely unthinkable (due to Random Acts of Skyrim) that you could be attacking in the middle of smithing - this may have been put in as a protective measure.
  9. All of you who remade the Misc Merge and have no MCMs - did you re-run Relinker?
  10. Yeaaaaaaaah. I think you might be onto something there. :)
  11. As a general question - I know xLOD always takes the longest to run, but wanting to make sure that more than doubling the time required for the run is an expected outcome of the resolution changes? Normally took about 45m to an hour, currently still running after near 2 hours. I did note that time on the guide, but was unsure if that was a change from the previous version or not. EDIT: Must be updated - the LOD gen took just over 2 hours, which matches the guide. No worries - just missed that it was gonna double to gen time.
  12. Fair enough. As it turns out, most of the things on the change list I'd already done, so there were only two merges and the LOD run to do. Gonna run it at high and see how my FPS fares. :)
  13. Not hard to fix in Excel at all - it's actually an intended feature there so you can hide columns or rows that aren't meant to be manipulated by the end user in some cases. Restoring them is as simple as highlighting the row/column on either side of the hidden one, right-click, set size, and entering a new size - all three go to the new size and you have the hidden column back. :)
  14. You, sir, are an evil evil man. Thanks - I know what today's going to be taken up doing now. *sigh*
  15. Yes (As BurdenCarrier said), but be sure you are INSIDE before you do the replacement. This should be fairly obvious, but you don't wanna be outside when you change the files that affects how the outside looks. So go to an interior setting, save, exit, turn off DynDOLOD, go back in, resave, then rerun DynDOLOD and replace as you talked about. It's the safest way to do it in a game in progress, as I understand it. Is there any reason not to just run it at High and not worry about it? The Medium settings is used as a happy medium (so to speak) keeping in mind the 'average' system - if your system can handle High, why not use it instead of farting around in the configs of DynDOLOD?
  16. Mostly, it's to ensure that the files created after that point end up at the end in a certain order. As a generality, it shouldn't matter over-much as long as the final files are the Bashed Patch, Smashed Patch, zPatch, and DynDOLOD, in that order. The Great Equalizer should already have been rolled into the Bashed Patch, and so long as you did your 'accidental sorting' after the Bashed Patch was done, there shouldn't be any huge impacts. I still get occasional CTDs... it's just part of the Skyrim Experience as far as I can tell. :)
  17. Using Lexy's modwatch at the moment to bounce things off of is likely not a good idea - she and the dev team are working on an update to the guide, so it's likely shifting a lot just at the moment. So, in order... 1) NO. Leave it on, or the merge that uses the other file wont work either. ESMs should NEVER be turned off unless specifically mentioned, as the case with the SSE Tamriel esm file. 2) Until the guide changes, leave it loose. 3) Leave them out for the moment, unless you know how to deal with the CR related issues. Those are about to be added to the guide, but haven't been accounted for in the CR patches just yet.
  18. A random thought - have you also multi-checked the DynDOLOD and xLOD settings? As in reset them to default and verified the changed settings... I know one setting relates to trees, and is on by default. If you turned that off (because the instructions don't tell you to have it ticked) that may result in this. That section tells you to tick things, so the way it's written could be interpreted as 'if it's not mentioned, it shouldn't be ticked' when it should be read as 'tick these off in addition to what's already ticked by default'.
  19. First, why are you doing that? It's not directed anywhere, and it's completely unneeded. It may, in fact, add tags that you don't want. (Honestly, I've never heard of this function, which means in six years of modding, I've never needed it - maybe this means something, maybe it doesn't, but it should be at least indicative.) Second, The only tags that should be changed from their baseline are the ones specifically listed in the Finishing Line Wrye Bash section. This covers a few of the merges you've made to ensure they merge as they are supposed to. Looking at those pics, the aspens at least appear to be two completely different tree types - they don't look even close to the same. I know you said you've made sure of your install in a word-by-word fashion, but I have to wonder if you missed a download somewhere. I certainly haven't seen anything like that... a couple foot difference between pine trees sure, but not trees that don't look remotely like each other.
  20. Then it may not be getting forwarded to anything downstream of the CR, because I get this all the time - doesn't prevent the quest from being completed, and I usually leave her behind anyhow, so it's not a real issue in my mind. That said, if I know where to look for this record, I'll take a look in my files to see if it is being forwarded or not in the final patch sequences. EDIT: Took a quick look in SSE Edit, and I found the references - they are forwarded, and yet this still happens. I've never been able to understand how the escort logic works - I've all but stood on top of NPCs, and they wont move, and other times I'll be a long ways off and they will. Or I get 'too far' ahead of them, and they stop completely. *sigh* Skyrim logic?
  21. Recommend getting schools to start sooner and end later in the year, for reasons of parental mental sanity. It's all good Lexy - we love you and the dev team. No, really! (Put away the pitchforks guys... reschedule for next wee...she's still here isn't she?)
  22. So most of us here don't play the game on console - we're PC version. There are a few who do, but I'm not sure how often they drop in. You might be better off trying to find a Console specific forum to try troubleshooting, as you might get a better and quicker answer there than here. That said, this sounds like a console specific problem, and most of the answers that we'd give (reinstall primary among them) may not really apply either. Wish I had better news on this front, but it's the best I have.
  23. This is a known issue - the author recently pulled all the older versions. Lexy is currently working on an update to the guide. In the meantime, the other two quotes should help you get it running at least well enough to get by until we have a full update.
  24. Weird - I don't doubt your word, but somehow that's what I thought was going on. My bad, obviously. On a separate issue, I've been having some odd occurrences with regards to faction relations (I'm assuming). On a new game, fresh on the road, everyone apparently hates me and is trying to kill me. Thoughts or places/events that might do this? I have only assaulted Valtheim Towers to this point, and the only one who hasn't tried to kill me is the Courier.
  25. These are the original posts - that update mentioned in the first post had us update to the newest of Black Sacrament, hence my first question at the time. The second two are already addressed and can be ignored. This is more for your reference. Obviously there must have been a rollback or something that I missed completely, so it looks like I have a merge to go fix.
