  1. I have used Vanilla lights and that is why it has such white lights, look inside the Dwemer Museum and Riften Jail which is covered by RS - Update and you will se my new lights. But this is merely for testing purposes to see what the general response will be from the end users. I think most of the lights are just white most of the times or blue for that matter. And here are some pics of my new lights with changed color and flicker to better resemble candle lights. Before, it had only "Sunbouncedlights" in that cave. Sun from where I wonder Bethesda :/ https://static.skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/images/31489-2-1361230808.jpg After I moved some light sources, duplicated them where I thought would make sense to have some lights and then added completly new light bulbs to them. https://static.skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/images/31489-1-1361230808.jpg That was from the Dragonborn Edition of Relighting Skyrim. Inside Benkongerike. And here is some of the new lights inside the Dwemer Museum Before, it had a very high radius for those small candles, the light reached the roof for crying out loud. and was more or less white casting lights. https://static.skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/images/31156-4-1360965836.jpg After, decreased the radius by a lot, altered the intensity of it and recolored it and added a new flicker/motion to it's light casting. https://static.skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/images/31156-3-1360965836.jpg In the rest of interior's I have only used vanilla lights. By the way small candles or candles in general don't give off dim/low intensity lights it all depends on the surface the light is emitting on, how bright the candle source is and how big flame it is from the light source itself. A good example of bright small fire candles https://www.colourbox.com/preview/2286399-406510-small-flame-of-a-burning-candle-in-darkness.jpg https://www.colourbox.com/preview/2787763-347942-group-of-small-candles-on-a-dark-background.jpg https://www.supr10.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/Tealight-Candles.jpg
  2. Fast reading through a comment or "blinding one self" from parts of the comments posted is a common occurrence, which I tend to do alot of times aswell :P Yeah he really have a lot on his plate but still manages to stay cool except for some very rare cases where he get's a little bit more irritated, but that's it. I was glad to see the new features Nexus implemented in the last Site update like sticky comments and the Reply directly to a comment features is a must have for big mods like RLO. Precisely not all will like Relighting Skyrim and not all will like RLO that's why I think it's good to have this kind of variation to the lighting. And then there is ELFX aswell. Which will soon have some new features aswell as I recently learned from Sydney :). He seems to have enough comments to answer on the steam, nexus and I think he had a mod thread over at bethesda forums aswell, unsure of this though. So why tempt faith with yet another forum ;)
  3. I had a talk with Sydney, and we both agreed on this - RLO is an overhaul of the lighting in Skyrim for the users seeking to have a new experience with Skyrim while Relighting Skyrim is for those who like the vanilla look but not how the lights themselves have been done by Bethesda. They are going to make changes to the weathers in the future versions of RLO (with customization avaialable again) and have weather modules for it. I did not specify it to the legacy weathers, I just said weather modules if you check my comment again ;)
  4. I didn't say anything about compatability, just what the changes are being done in them to the lighting. A comment I posted over at [ LIGHTING FIX ] Relighting Skyrim by NovakDalton But because RLO changes how vanilla light bulbs look and behave the DLC parts of Relighting Skyrim might have some weird looking lights when used together with RLO. In future updates of RLO there won't be any compatibilty between Relighting Skyrim and Realistic Lighting Overhaul. Except maybe for the Illuminated spell and weather modules. Will have to wait and see what changes will be made to them in future updates.
  5. You guys clearly don't know how RLO and Relighting Skyrim have done it's lighting. RLO changes, light bulbs, adds new light bulbs, adds FX, alters and adds Lighting Templates, Alters and adds Imagespaces. with more things to come in future updates, alot more. Relighting Skyrim use most of the vanilla lights and duplicate them to a light source that has no emitting light (I have only created a few new ones placed in some dungeons) and removes 1 or 2 candle sticks, horns, chandeliers as it would not be possible to add enough light bulbs to cover every vanilla placed light source. Only places I or NovakDalton has added a light source such as a Candlestick is were it haven't been any and we thought it would be fitting to have in that place. But mostly (I atleast) have changed the placement of a light source to a new place where the light would do more good and/or not cause any light to flicker on and off in some way. And if you want images of before and after shots I have uploaded images at the different Relighting Skyrim mods image section. As have NovakDalton done. RS - Dawnguard has 46 before and after pictures RS - Hearthfire has 12 before and after pictures RS Dragonborn has 46 before and after pictures If you want more I have a bunch of non uploaded images that I can post to an imgur photo gallery for you guys to look over which will have before and after pictures of every interior that have been changed. And here is one Whiterun interior with RLO and Relighing Skyrim - Update and Vanilla aswell, I have yet to optimize this interior though. Vanilla Relighting Skyrim RLO And no I have not removed shadow casting light from the fire if you thought I had done so. From one of the RLO Article's
  6. Actually the code re-write is based of off one of my older HD6 enbeffect.fx files, if you guys want to have the latest you can find them here; https://enbdev.com/enbseries/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1503&sid=8593dc7fe3bc433e840a72bc07ffc363
  7. Here is the same pciture but without the mage light in the background https://img856.imageshack.us/img856/4489/tesv2013020317534820.jpg
  8. As you said some well thought through coloring alterations done with this mod and I would call it an improvment of the vanilla texture both in the detail and new style of some of the shrines. And no overly noisy bump-maps as I have seen other "HD" shrine textures have ;) And it doesnt cover the them in a Goldish yellow/Bronze only texture which I didn't like one bit. Comparison photos I took with Vanilla and MM Shrines textures. Vanilla; MM Shrines HD;
  9. For those wondering on future plans for the Relighting Skyrim series you can check in at that topic in the "Important Threads - [ LIGHTING FIX ] Relighting Skyrim by NovakDalton"
  10. I am currecntly working on some fixes, and one interior cell that drives me crazy for the moment is Dimhollow crypt the first of the dimhollow interiors. there is one place that just don't want to be fixed easily :P Good idea about the spoiler wrapper by the way ;)
  11. Then I will do so :) About RLO compatability as it is now these will conflict with the main Relighing Skyrim by NovakDalton and my RS - Update and OLSE for Relighting Skyrim; RLO Files from v4.0.6  - Major Cities - Interiors (Fully Complete Module - 156 cells) > This module as they call it changes lights so it will have conflicts in the major cities interiors alone. Not the exteriors though.  - Illuminated Spells. (Fully Completed Module) > No incompatibility as this only covers the light emitted from the spell ahnds (Will need to check in the CK to be absolutely sure though)  - Legacy weathers from RLwC 3.5 (We will release RLO weathers later down the track) > No incompatability as it changes weathers. This module alters the same things as RLwC did.  - Realistic Lighting Overhaul - Dungeons (Currently does not include cell edits - imagespace modifier only) > No incompatibilty as they changes imagespaces only and not emitted lights. as of v4.0.6  - Realistic Lighting Overhaul - Minor Cities & Town Interiors (Currently does not include cell edits - imagespace modifier only)> No incompatibilty as they changes imagespaces only and not emitted lights. as of v4.0.6 However the DLC mods from Relghting Skyrim will have no incompatibility's with RLO v4.0.6 nor with ELFX. And by the way the customization part for RLO 4.0 haven't been added yet ;) it will be released in about 2 weeks time if I remeber correctly. And I will do 2 versions of my RS - Dawngaurd and Hearthfires mods. a base which is a simple shadow stipring, placement and radius and intensity fix for all the lights. And then a second version that adds clutter, FX and other detailed stuff to the parts of Hearthfires and Dawnguard areas. And in the future I'm planning on adding a SkyProc patcher to the Relighting Skyrim Series that will let the user alter the lights intensity and radius to their own tastes, much like RLwC did for the weathers and imagespaces. But this is only going to happen if the SkyProc author Leviathan1753 adds some necessary code for the SkyProc Patcher to be able to alter the lights which it can't do at the moment with the latest v2.0. EDIT; Relighting Skyrim by NovakDalton covers; 140 interior cells > Detailed list of those cells here. (I will clean it up a bit later on)  exterior cells > Detailed list of those cells here. (Will update with a list here later on) Relighing Skyrim - Update covers; 44 interior cells > Detailed list of those cells here. OLSE for Relighting Skyrim covers; 144 interior cells > Detailed list of those cells here. That is a total of 328 interior cells of Skyrim altered and with fixed lights and then  exterior cells and not counting in the the DLC RS mods in.
  12. As I am the author I thought it would be fitting if I explained my intentions and what is covered and will be covered with this ;) The current released version 0.3 covers every interior and exterior part regarding lights from candles, fireplaces, lanterns etc. I have also added some stuff to some places like this for instance; https://static.skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/images/28498-1-1357943735.jpg https://static.skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/images/28498-2-1357943737.jpg More images can be found at my mod thread. So you see I am doing stuff like Enhanced Lights and FX does, but I am focusing on fixing all the lights first and to have a good base for later when I will be working on FX, clutter and the "detail work". This will have no problems running along side ELFX however and neither will my Hearthfires Edition have. And I will do similar "detail work" to the Skyrim parts. Content covered by RS - DE
  13. You should look at the readme's I include in my mod RAR folders, it contains every cell I have altered the lights in ;) But here is a rough estimate of the coverage of Relighting Skyrim Series; Relighting Skyrim by NovakDalton  - ~ 50% and with my RS - Update and OLSE for Relighting Skyrim it boosts the Skyrim coverage up to about ~60% I think. Relighting Skyrim - Dawngarud Edition - 100% coverage for both exterior and interior. Relighting Skyrim - Hearthfires Edition - 66% coverage for both exterior and interior. Just the main interiors left to fix. I can upload detailed lists on every cell that these mods cover if you want to, so you can see for your self what it covers.
