Hello, recently I wanted to update Immersive Citizens to 0.3.2.2 but Shurah wrote in his Nexus Forum that STEP users should wait for the STEP patch update to benefit from Immersive Citizens 0.3.2.2. Now STEP patch 2.2.9.2l arrived and I wanted to ask if it's ready to use with the new version of ICAIO? Guess "yes" but with only a few days inbetween the publishing of the two, just wanted to know for sure. Thanks.

I know removing mods from a running setup is a very bad idea and removing mods that run scripts is even more dangerous. So I guess there is no way of getting this mod from my load order without breaking the game? Save cleaning maybe?

I use the last BETA version of Crash Fixes and enable log writing in the CrashFixes.ini. The logs are created in MO overwrites folder. + I activate crash loging in SKSE: creates a similar log to Crash Fixes. I can't really decipher them but I collect them and post them on meh321 Nexus page so he can have a look and improve Crash Fixes with the data. At least it can help and gives me the feeling that my crashes are not futile- 148 replies

Thanks for uploading the textures, I also found some in my old STEP Compilation. Should have better describe the problem, mention it was normal-res. Would be easier to confirm, sorry.
-
Redownloaded the Compilation and the textures are faulty again.
-
Perhaps I have found a bad texture in the Compilation: My latest 2292k version includes two textures for the chicken that look exactly the same: textures/actors/chicken/chicken.dds and .../chicken_n.dds. They are different in the old 2292i-version. It makes all chicken invisible ingame. Maybe it is just me and the download was broken, so could please some check ingame if the poultry is visible?

CTD and Performance patch ENBoost (by Boris Vorontsov)
BUBISHI replied to EssArrBee's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Thank You, Tech. I'm trying to get better performance from my game and hope optimizing my inis will help a little. My Skyrim.ini is still the one I modified for my first STEP-installation years ago, I changed a few settings but can't remember anymore where or why. As I added a lot of mods to STEP maybe my Skyrim.ini is not optimal. There is the Skyrim Project INI (spINI) and Optimize and stabilize skyrim - include ENB 0.30X configuration - stutter fix - performance fix powered by Crash Fixes by meh21 also offers some optimized ini settings. I would also like just to try their ini-files but I think it it not as easy as with the enblocal.ini. There are some settings like [Papyrus] that I know should not be altered midgame. What if I take my current ones for the new inis? I belive I have not altered them anyway. Could you please take a look at my Skyrim.ini and tell me what you think? CTD and Performance patch ENBoost (by Boris Vorontsov)
BUBISHI replied to EssArrBee's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I just wanted to ask if I can update my ENBoost installation midgame by just replacing the d3d9.dll, enbhost.exe, and enblocal.ini in my Skyrim directory? I would just use my old values for ReservedMemorySizeMb=512 <-- here I could even lower the value with the new ENBoost, I guess VideoMemorySizeMb=6646 and change the mandatory [GLOBAL]UsePatchSpeedhackWithoutGraphics=trueUseDefferedRendering=false[ENGINE]EnableVSync=trueVSyncSkipNumFrames=0settings. -

GUIDE Guide:Skyrim Configuration Settings
BUBISHI replied to Octopuss's topic in Unofficial Skyrim LE Guides
I belive I never changed uGridsToLoad but I will check this value when I'm back at home, can't say for sure now. So you mean uGridsToLoad=5 and uExterior Cell Buffer=36 are dependant and changing one will "break" the other. It is not that clear from meh321s description. What do you think about the other recommendation he gives for skyrim.ini?- 46 replies

GUIDE Guide:Skyrim Configuration Settings
BUBISHI replied to Octopuss's topic in Unofficial Skyrim LE Guides
I wanted to know if changing some skyrim.ini setting could harm my saves or if it's safe to tweak my skyrim.ini in the middle of a playthrough. I searching for the source of a crash and while reading the instructions of Crash Fixes I found this recommendation from meh321: Skyrim.ini: uExterior Cell Buffer:General - setting this too high causes crashes more, especially when game wants to unload many cells at once. If you set 0 or just remove it from your INI then game decides this and that's the best way. Mine is set to uExterior Cell Buffer=36 I'd like to set it to 0 as STEP only says this for this setting: uExterior Cell Buffer uExterior Cell Buffer=-1 or lowerNegative values cause CTD.- 46 replies

SKYRIMLE Everything + The Kitchen Sink
BUBISHI replied to Mr_Moal's topic in Step Skyrim LE Packs (retired)
Hello Mr Moal, after the advice you gave me on my load order I have decided to rework it using your pack as a reference. I have almost finished the setup and will test it ingame soon but I have found some interesting details from other moders or mod authors I wanted to share with you. Maybe they help to make this pack better, maybe you can tell me what you think of them: 1. Your load order Nr.: 220 BetterQuestObjectives-AlternateStartPatch.esp From the readme files of Requiem 1.9.4 Patch Central - Live Another Life patch: Includes descriptions from Even Better Quest Objectives. This makes the LAL patch from Even Better Quest Objectives redundant. I guess it's save to remove this patch. 2. The position of Alternate Start - Live Another Life.esp CAN be changed. It may be placed before Requiem now. This is not an important one and I would not change anything in your load order as it will work either way. Source: the trader 3. I'm not sure how to use: NoAnimalsReportCrimes-DG+DB.esp NoAnimalsReportCrimes-DG+DB+Falskaar.esp NoAnimalsReportCrimes-DG+DB+Requiem.esp For my load order I have just used NoAnimalsReportCrimes-DG+DB+Requiem.esp and merged it with NoAnimalsReportCrimes-DG+DB+Falskaar.esp. I think NoAnimalsReportCrimes-DG+DB.esp is the core mod, the two other just add rules for Requiem/Falskaar to the core. So one needs one core + the rules from both Requiem/Falskaar. I have merged them and put the complete mod below Requiem. What do you think? I have als added the NARC Consistency Patches, as far I understand the instructions (Pharros post #283) they should be used with the core mod. I have also taken your advice to examine my STEP extended patch (i had placed it after Requiem). Have noticed the inconsistencies it caused ingame: the invisibility spell was not silent and the Eye Fix did not work as intended so I have created a conflict patch for both mods. Should work better in my next setup, thank you for pointing me there.- 148 replies

Thanks for answering and looking up my load order. I guess I keep Requiems MineOreScript running then. Have to make a note to disable it for a future run. I'm pretty sure the newest Alternate Start version can be placed above Requiem. Arthmoor wrote it, will have to post the source here to prove it. Will do it later. With STEP Extended Patch.esp loaded after requiem, a pile of stuff gets over written for Requiem and you will have funny values for some spells and such.Thats not good. I had some crashes in Whiterun when exiting buildings but they stopped and I have not investigated the cause. Thank you.- 148 replies

I don't know if it helps, but this is how I have solved the problem without making a patch: [spoiler=relevant load order excerpt]120.Alternate Start - Live Another Life.espesp 121.Requiem.espesp 122.Requiem - Legendary Bugsmasher Edition.espesp 123.Requiem - Hearthfire.espesp 124.NRM_Dragonborn_Reqtified.espesp 125.NotSoFast-MainQuest.espesp 126.Immersive Citizens - AI Overhaul.espesp 127.RealisticWaterTwo.espesp 128.RealisticWaterTwo - Legendary.espesp 129.ELE_Legendary_Lite.espesp 130.STEP Extended Patch.esp It would be interesting what consequences you see in that, as I'm not very good at interpreting TES5edit.- 148 replies

Hi Mr_Moal, by reading your guide I have noticed that I have not deactivated/deleted/hidden Requiems MineOreScript.pex as recommended when using CCOR. Is it save to do the procedure on a running game? Or should I just keep it in mind for a new game? If I can do it now, is there something I should concider, like beeing in a interior cell, not beeing in a mine or something else. Thanks.- 148 replies
