  1. FYI - NPC Enchantments Fix has been hidden on the nexus by the author. The reason given by the author is: This mod is now a part of ASIS. If you do not want any of the other features of ASIS just uncheck them before running the patcher. Is there a workaround for the pack guide? Or can safely ignore this mod as it relates to the pack?
  2. Well, let me rephrase my question. Lay aside the preview pics from the mod page for now. Do the roads in game, with the mod installed, look better TO YOU, than the vanilla roads do? They might not look as good as the preview pics from the modpage; but that's beside the point. Like I said preview pics can be misleading.
  3. Well, I think the real question is: Do they look different/better from the vanilla textures? I've never actually played an un-modded version of New Vegas and only just started playing the game with this pack installed. So, I don't actually know if that texture pack is 'working as intended'. But I personally like how the roads look at the moment. With that said, I would take the preview pics from the Nexus site with a grain of salt. Many times mod authors take those pics with all settings at Ultra and also some really jacked up ENB settings that just make it look gorgeous. And then you install it in your game with no ENB at all and it looks 'so-so'. The real test is 'Do the textures look sufficiently better with this mod than the vanilla textures do?'
  4. Alright, thanks for the answers guys. I'll just let LOOT do its thing and ignore the BUM rules stuff in the packs.
  5. 1) Correct. Although I don't remember disabling the UHRP esp; I DO remember having all of the HighresTexturePacks unchecked under the Plugins tab but checked under the Archive tab. 2) Correct. Although if you're not going to actually go into the game yet you can still leave it checked and then once you install Fal and Wyrm that error message will go away. 3) When Managing your profiles you select the STEP CORE profile and hit 'Copy' and then name it whatever you want, like STEP CORE Regs for example. The STEP CORE Regs profile will be an exact copy of the STEP CORE profile, no need to reenable anything; it will be exactly the same. Then while using the STEP CORE Regs profile just add mods to that profile. You'll notice though that if you ever go back to the STEP CORE profile the new mods you've added from the Regs profile will be there as well but they will be disabled ('unchecked'). 4) I believe that correct. 5) Couldn't help you there.
  6. Now that I think of it, everything you mentioned oqhansoloqo I had the same experience. The Flashlight thing doesn't seem to be too much of an issue. I did change it from a handheld to a headlamp and am still using the 'J' key as the toggle for it. But yes, I still get the pop up about iHUD on that. The 2nd thing you mentioned I had the same experience as well. Shouldn't be an issue.
  7. Reposting question since it got buried. Anyone have an answer for this?
  8. I didn't have any problems whatsoever using LOOT. The guide is great. The only problem I had with the guide was getting Roberts Male Body to not have the black bars. If you follow the guide strictly you'll end up with black bars on the male chests. After the installation of Roberts I had to go into FOMOD (start it up through MO) then uncheck and check the Archive Invalidation option under Tools. After that in MO then on the right untick all the bsa's under the Archive tab (these should include all of the original Fallout New Vegas bsa files). Load up the game (you'll get a black screen and a square cursor). Exit game. Go back to MO and recheck all the bsa's. Then should be good to go.
  9. Hey folks, I've been running this pack for a few days now with absolutely no major problems. However, it seems that about after 1.5 to 2 hours the menu screens take longer and longer to load. Like if I want to trade with someone or even just hit ESC to go the main menu it starts taking longer and longer. A restart of the game is necessary to fix it up. I'm wondering if anyone has experienced this issue. I should say that just today I installed that NVAC 6.5 beta and changed the setting like EssArrBee said to in the guide with yesterday's update. But not sure if it's related to that or not.
  10. Hey folks, I've been using LOOT ever since I came back to playing Skyrim again and it's great. Went all the way through the STEP Core using only LOOT and it worked perfectly. Now, I'm getting more adventurous in modding the game and went through the entirety of the Skyrim Revisited pack. And it generally worked really well. Been looking at some other packs as well like REGS and MMO. In working with these packs I'm noticing a lot of dependency on BUM. I personally don't want to work with BUM because that would mean going back to BOSS and I want to stick with LOOT since that is the future we're heading toward. So, when I went through the SR:LE pack I generally just skipped over the parts that mentioned BUM and hoped for the best that LOOT would sort everything accordingly. There were some cases where I would go into LOOT and explicitly tell plugins to 'Load After' another plugin. Like this for example is a very easy translation for LOOT: OVERRIDE Unofficial Dragonborn Patch.esp AFTER Dragonborn.esmFor that I know I can go in to LOOT and go to the 'Load After' tab and put in the information there. LOOT might already be smart enough to do this but for the sake of keeping with the pack guides I put it in there anyways. However, when it came to stuff like this: AHZmoreHUD.esp BOTTOM MCM ModsI had no idea how to translate that to something that LOOT would recognize. So, my question. Has anyone figured out how to translate the BUM rules over to LOOT? If we take the AHZmoreHUD.esp example above how would I put that into LOOT so that it loads it accordingly? Again, I know it's possible that LOOT is already sorting everything entirely correct but I'm not sure I want to just assume. Thanks.
  11. I had this issue as well. Was living with it for awhile but it really started bugging me. So, decided to get to work on it. When the person above me said the unticked all the bsa's I didn't know what they meant because all of the main Fallout bsa's were grayed out for me. Update #2 below fixed it though. I tried reinstalling with and without the Auto Archive Invalidation box checked in the Mod Organizer profiles pane. Didn't work. Finally figured it out and it's SOMEWHAT similar to VonDoom's solution. However, I think mine is more specific: UPDATE: In order for this to work you have to leave the Auto Archive Invalidation option unchecked in your profile in MO. However, when you do that then Fallout Character Overhaul is unable to Archive Invalidate and so you'll see random pink faces on NPC's. I currently don't know of a way to have both mods working as intended. I've gone back through and reinstalled Type 3, Roberts and FCO all with the Auto Archive Invalidation checked and they just don't want to work together. I'm continuing to troubleshoot a possible fix. UPDATE 2: After trying for hours to get them to work together I just couldn't get it. Finally I went back to the Default profile and started with the guide from scratch. Once I got to Roberts I started up the game and found that sure enough the black bars were still there. Didn't matter what I did. Finally, I opened FOMM from Mod Organizer and unchecked ArchiveInvalidation under Tools and then checked it again. Mod Organizer didn't really like this and placed a Fallout - AI!.bsa in the Overwrite folder. HOWEVER, now all the Fallout bsa's were black and I could uncheck them. I unchecked them all and went into the game and got the black screen with the square cursor. Ended the task on it and when I went back into Mod Organizer they were all checked again. Started the game up again and everything worked great! Very funky fix but I'm glad that's over. Going to leave the steps below for research purposes. Because they DO work but will cause problems with other mods. Basically, this step is manually doing the Archive Invalidation for Roberts Male Body. It was the only way I got the black bars on my chest to go away. Hope this helps someone.
