Help me figure stuff out? CTD

A Bashed or Merged patch probably wouldn't hurt, either. -

Have you run that list through LOOT and/or TES5Edit? -
facepalms...

Seems to be a hell of a lot in there as well. Make sure you're not over 255 overall plugins. -
I also recall reading something about how there's no paid Sims mods any more, basically due to people just pirating the bejasus out of the paid stuff and posting it for free...

Is that an Abyssinian? Had one as a little child. Awesome cat. Almost like a dog in some ways.

Cold, but I can sort of understand it. The SkyUI guys really haven't covered themselves in glory, though. No updates for 2 years, and as soon as a paywall pops up, a miracle update? That's never going to play well. EDIT: This gave me a giggle https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/65022

Oh yeah the steam community made Nexus look like Playschool with how feral they got. Glad I'm rid of that pile of creaking calamitous junk called Steam.

Help adding Underground Hideout to F&L in NV
Nozzer66 replied to mac2636's topic in Fear & Loathing in New Vegas
Immediate CTD's at loading screen nearly always suggest a missing master. Those often show them selves if you run your entire load order through something like FNVEdit or LOOT, or even just look for the missing master sign in MO. -

I haz cats... Trixy's the Calico/Tortie and Roxy's the all Black badar$e who has beat up the local Tomcat twice...
-
Awww and now my other cat, the calico and white moggy jumped up and is purring into my ear. :) Always a good smile when she does that.
-
What made me smile today? Seeing the stupid bastige who ripped past me at 140 plus in an 80 zone getting nabbed by the 5-0 about 20 kilometers down the road. That definitely got a laugh. What else? Getting a cuddle from my massive black female cat, Roxy, this morning. She actually puts one front paw either side of your neck and snuggles her head in under your chin. It's adorable and she's been doing it since she was a kitten. Finding I had a 20 in my wallet I'd forgotten about... The fact it's the weekend...

Meanwhile everyone effectively gets gouged and Valve make a fat quid. Screw that.
-
No, what you should have said is Valve's position is: "We're making lots of money from this. You can have some meagre scraps from the tabletop."

I'll be keeping an eye on this thread to see the state of play. I wont install Steam on my machine again, and I wont be going near Nexus either. (The latter is more to stop temptation into reinstalling St*am. See I now even refuse to type it.)
-
Ah it was never going to remain civil. Not with the Nexus crowd. Curious... Wonder who'll do something like make a similar mod to Wet and Cold (call it Moist and Freezing or something) and post THAT on the Nexus as free. Would be interesting to watch if it happened.

Total Biscuit makes a few fair points in that video. Lets be honest, the faeces was going to hit the fan on the whole modding as hobby vs modding as an income source sooner or later. And if the mod authors on here were to actually charge their time per hour spent on mods, you'd be paying lots more than 5 bucks for them. My whole issue with the scenario is firstly: Valve's flat out greed. I might be able to give that a grudging pass if Skyrim was Valve content. It's not. Secondly: If someone had spent time and made all the assets in their mod from a blank sheet of paper, released it, and it was found to be awesome and a must have, I'd be bashing down the door saying shutup and take my money with the crowd. If and when that happens, I consider it a bit disingenuous to charge for a mod you're not 100% behind. Of course, this is all academic now as Steam is 100% off my machine and will not darken my Hard Drive again until Valve pull their heads in. And yes, the hate pointed especially towards Isoku that I've seen is a disgrace. I've actually reported a few posts on Nexus over that. Would suggest a few others do the same.
-
The thing is though, people would likely understand that they'd not get a trickle supply from someone like Valve and that it would be lump sum, at least for a while. That part of only paying once you reach $ amount X is just business sense, really.
-
ouchies....
-
That exactly. Like I said before, I can really foresee people giving places like Pirate bay a solid workover... Which I also disagree with, but Valve have made their own bed to some extent.
-
Seeing as with Steam uninstalled I cant play Skyrim, I might have to look closer at Witcher3, and maybe fire up DA:I some, as well as GTAV...
-
I have donated to authors in the past and will probably do so again. It just tends to slip your mind on occasions to do so. But this weekend will break out the paypal and show some people some love.
-
What annoys me most is now I have to reacquire GTAV using the Rockstar hamster in an exercise wheel download server.... :S

Yep, Thanks, Neo. Really enjoyed running around in your vision of Skyrim.
