  1. I had that similar issue happen with a 7870. Ended up having to hard reset the machine every time. I was getting full black screens with a sound loop. Tried a full clean install of the drivers, card reseating, running with the side case open and a fan pointed at the card, the whole 9 yards. Ended up grabbing a friend's 670, tossed it in and never had the problem despite torture testing the machine. Bought a new 670 FTW, tossed it in and never had an issue hence...
  2. I had this happen with a mod once before. If I recall what I did was download the mod manually via nexus to my desktop, open the archive and find just the missing ESP, extract that to the correct mod folder for MO and restart MO. MO found the new ESP, I activated it and we moved on from there. Maybe try that?
  3. Actually, you could be right, oqhansoloqo (How do you pronounce that, BTW?) cause I seem to recall in that Tutorial Killer FOMOD install that the option to select Alternative Start was grayed out. Will have a play. Either way it's no huge issue cause I only ever used Alternate Start to pick the machanic background and get Jury Rig early, cause it's so damn useful. And always started at Goodsprings. And EssArrBee, take your time mate. You've been working like hell. Get out there and smell the roses. :)
  4. I have to ask, are you running the latest drivers?
  5. Just for your interest EssArrBee, Have tried Redesigned 3. Makes Doc Mitchell actually look like an OLD man, with wrinkles, which is the first good thing I've noticed. Aside from that, and using the Dimonized Type 3 female body, have followed the guide to a T, and noticed when I started up a new play through last night that there was some sort of issue with the alternate start. The first thing I noticed was that as soon as you got off the bed in the alternative shack, the game asked for your name and sent you to the design screen, rather than waiting for you to use the Vigor tester and then the terminal. You then followed the usual procedure of vigor tester and the terminal. I then chose to start at Goodsprings. All good there, you're placed outside Doc Mitchells, as usual. However you have no Pip Boy, nor any of the other items Doc gives you. I thought, that's strange, so went back inside, and the Doc is still standing by the Vigor tester. Interacting with him just gives the "We can talk later' response. The vigor tester cant be interacted with. Possibly just a complete co-incidence, and I didn't have much time to break out FNV Edit and investigate further, but thought I'd mention it. Removing the Alternate Start and remaking your char via the Vanilla method worked fine, though. There's something, somewhere messing with the very first quest, it seems...
  6. The city names are either above the different pairings of gritty/vanilla, or you need to scroll the installer window, if I recall that mod's installer...
  7. I can also recommend Bleak and Unbleak as well. It all depends on the atmosphere you want.
  8. If I recall correctly, you have to make the changes, then save the changes then hit apply changes. Been a while since I've had to tweak an ENB with anything other than a DOF toggle, so I'm not 100% on that.
  9. Yes, but again it's personal choice. Some of them are as dark as the bowels of Hades inside caves etc, and others are a little brighter, for one example. Personally I like ones that are a touch darker, enough where you need a torch, but not so black all you see is a murkyness till some Falmer comes out of nowhere and stabs you in the ribs.
  10. Well when I had Vividian there was no mod merging needed, and none of the others needed any. ENB's are dead easy to install and uninstall. If you want to completely remove one, just keep a copy of the files it adds for handy reference. When you want to change, all you need do is remove them. TBH I found using that ENB changer java app slower than going in and changing stuff by hand.
  11. I've used a few of them.. Ghost, Bleak, Unbleak, HRK, RealVision, Vividian, Skylight, Saraan Suum, and to be honest, I've not seen huge performance deltas. 5-7 FPS max, even running all the options. To some extent the questions with ENB are 1) Does it work for you, in terms of the graphical change? and 2) Does it perform well enough for you with the desired options on? Since I'm not a real screen archer, I never run the ENB DOF option, so that always helps my performance.
  12. Have you tried Skylight ENB? Other than me having a 780Yi I run a similar rig to you with that ENB and I can pull up to 60 FPS outside, even more inside...
  13. With 8) I use UGridstoload at 7 and it's working dead perfectly as far as I can tell, running Skylight ENB and all the bells and whistles.
  14. 1) The next version of the Step Guide, 2,2.9 will suggest using LOOT. If you want to get on board early, I think it would be fine. 2) DDSopt's just a suggestion. With that card you may not need worry. 3) It's not hard once you get the hang of it to use Bash for the bashed patch. :) 4) You could probably just compress and save Mod Organizer's downloads directory as a backup. That's what I've done. 5) Will leave that for the experts.... 6) The 0.254 file should do the trick. Well the files you get from it will, anyway. 7) The latest Mod Organizer, 1.2.9 is fine. Problems all fixed.
  15. Gotta admit this does look interesting. Certainly a change from the vanilla was needed.
  16. Just took a look at the images there. Man some of the work there's awesome.
  17. I have a PS4 and a PC, natch. I liked it on PS3 so much I'll probably get both versions of it. :)
  18. EssArrBee would be the man to ask, but personally I cant see why not.
  19. Hmmm. Well that's a start... Maybe now try an older version of the Fork?
  20. Section 3.A.1, point 3 suggests Extended patch just before the bashed patch.
  21. So much for that idea, then... Can you run it standalone, ie not through MO?
  22. Have you tried updating your .NET framework anyway? That's what I'd suspect given your post above.
  23. I thought NMC already optimized his stuff?
  24. No, you'd need to do it in windoze...
