This is why I opt'd for Spring Cleaning. Never had a problem. But prob don't have a problem with either. Would love to see an option in the guide at some point. I like in my off time playing around with settlement building and design. For those that dont just use Sim Settlement and be done with it!
-
SC is the spring cleaning esp Maybe the Snap Bed site, don't remember off the top of my head. Love Snap beds though, thought it was not that important until you go to a small settlement and have no bed space. It's how beds should have been! Spring Cleaning is also necessary for my OCD

My load order for reference. Runs perfectly.

Thanks for the load order. I truthfully think more of us with a stable game should post our LO because of LOOT not working very well for Fallout 4. I would post mine but I forgot how to hide it. Think its something like <hide> but don't remember.

And Dreadflopp is starting a play-through! We're starting to get talented mod/guide makers to help with this already very awesome guide! Happy days!

Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback

What's the eta on changing to the newest Vividian in the guide? I know you've been testing for a while and I'm curious to see the changes. Ty! -
I donated to Isoku today as well and his response to those that donated to him now and in the past was truly classy. He also mentions releasing the new wet and cold and ineed on the nexus. One thing coming out of this is a real view into how solid the modders are. I have many modders to catch up with, as well as a more often donation to STEP (great community, proud to be a part of it after this). I'm personally glad that I am now more aware of the donate functions of both the nexus and STEP. I hit Chesko up again too. It will be a true shame if this whole mess makes Chesko step away from modding. He is a true gem to the community. As to the donations, people should not over think amounts IMO. If 2,000 people donate $.50 that can add up. Even if those that don't have the means donate more, it is really the thought that counts i feel. As a few modders have pointed out it is not the intention to make money but a fulfillment of a hobby and passion. I love to be able to acknowledge their work and dedication with something more then a nexus endorsement. It's not that most of the modders want or even need it, it's just one of the only ways to show them gratitude. Or at least one of the only ways the internet allows it.
-
I will be continuing my donations to mod makers as well. That's the one good thing to come out of this. It's really upsetting that we had to lose some great modders in my opinion due to this. The whole thing could of just been handled so much better. But I am glad we have shone a light on the fact that the great modders deserve more then a bunch of hours answering repeat questions on the nexus. I have to agree with what people like neovalan have pointed out; this is probably the end of free modding for future Bethesda games which is ashame for those of us who have been modding their games for years.
-
I have to agree with Grant, it will calm down. The mature, good people (which is probably 90% of the users) are allowing this to blow over without overreacting as many living generations tend to do in most circumstances these days. Don't let the whole thing get you down Krypto, I would suggest ignoring the negativity on the Nexus forums for a few weeks and taking a small break. I don't think there is a way to truly show the appreciation we have for modder's such as yourself and others. I think guides and forums like STEP show just how much respect there is. The guides are homages to yours and others amazing time and talent. Lol, now that's the spirit!!

I'm too lazy to write the same... But seriously, your the best Neovalen!

So over the last week I have attempted to gain a bit more FPS due to my game being almost unplayable. I wanted to report my findings hoping I can help others. I have a 2gb GPU but a 4.8ghz CPU. You can see the rest of my specs below. I want to point out that I have many additions to SR:LE including most of REGS, Perma, sound additions, plus some script heavy mods for immersion. So that adds to some of my performance issues. To be honest, we probably all use more then just SR:LE because being a mod user and a "Skyrim Perfectionist" is addictive so I'm sure many of us try and push the game as far as possible. First off I followed almost all of Nearox's amazing guide when I put together this profile in MO and so have many mods optimized and most textures at 1k max. It's a great guide in general and can help everyone gain a bit of FPS without noticing a quality loss. It's not completely updated but you can use common sense to fill in the gaps. After using the guide, there are a few essential mods that help FPS without much noticeable quality loss; Skyrim Performance PLUS Insignificant Object Remover No Guard Torches The next one is what made me attempt to optimize a bit more it's: Skyrim Performance Booster. I know people might not be to keen on this, but I can honestly say I gained about 10 FPS using it. It is dependent on your setup I believe but again I had success. It's pretty simple to use, you just add it to the STEAM folder and run the batch. It runs for less then a second on my system. From what I gather she just deletes some grasses from the base game. I use Weather Control Center (which is off Nexus for some reason) because some of the weather crushes my system, I love COT but I have to go to clear weather when doing important things. Destroys immersion, but until I upgrade my GPU it is necessary unfortunately. You can also just use the console to set clear weather. Do a quick Google search (or ask the Oracle I say) for how to. You can also turn off ENB like I suggest below until the weather passes. I had JK's Skyrim but dropped it because of FPS loss. It's a great mod and I'm willing to trade in other areas on my next play through because it really is so well done. I don't use enhanced blood textures, footprints, EFF, face to face, wet and cold holiday's and a few others. Again, it's all personal preference and trade off's. I will probably add them back in the future and drop other things. I have Dynamic Things, Animations, and other fairly script heavy mods so I play around with set ups to see what has an affect on scripts. Once frostfall updates and wet and cold, I'm sure that will allow a bit more wiggle room. I tested both the medium setting and high setting on the new Dyndolod, and found that I only lost 1-2 FPS on high so I'm sticking with that setting for now. I think Insignificant object remover helps a bit there. Who knows though. My ini settings are fairly simple but have been put together after about a year of playing and tweaking. They work well on MY system but who knows for others. I'll give you the most noticeable changes; Skyrim ini: my FOV is set to 81 iMaxGrassTypesPerTexure=7 iMinGrassSize=50 Skyrimprefs ini: fShadowDistance=4000.0000 iShadowMapResolutionSecondary=1024 iShadowMapResolutionPrimary=2048 SKSE ini: iTintTextureResolution=1024 Enblocal ini: Most settings are fairly generic but I do run in windows mode [WINDOW] ForceBorderless=true ForceBorderlessFullscreen=true Most of these settings are in Nearox's guide. My graphics card setup is based upon STEP's suggestions. I turn off background processes when I play and set Steam to offline mode. I also use Game booster 3. So what is my FPS after all this testing? I was in the teen's before some of the additions above in outdoor areas. Now I'm getting 25 plus or minus in most outdoor areas. Which is not great, but it is the limitations of my graphics card. 20-30's is playable if this is the only game you are playing at current and have no comparison. Indoors can be fine and is in the 40's-50's. If I hit a trouble area, I will turn off ENB (shift f12) until I'm through the area. ENB is by far the most crippling part of most set ups and SRLE is no exception. I can get into the 70-100+ FPS (144 hz monitor) in indoor areas with ENB off but the visual quality is staggering. There is probably more tweaks because it adds up over the years, but this is the most basic stuff I can think of. If you have comments or suggestions please add them to help move the topic forward! Thanks, hope this helps people!

Had a feeling it was placebo!! So funny how settings are so sensitive that you feel like the littlest things screw with performance. Thanks Smokem -

Neov, you mentioned you used "ugrids 5" for the screenshots. Do you suggest adding it to the ini, or was it for testing purposes? I've added it in the past but feel like it affects performance. It may just be imagined tho. Nice flickr shots btw Pretendeavor! -

You can turn off whistle quest in mcm, don't think that's the problem though. Since Neov remembers this from a while back the updated unofficial patch could be the culprit. Have to keep an eye on their forum. It happens sometimes that they break a former fix. As to hunterborn with sr:le; it's a great mod but the engine just can't handle the scripts. Sr:le has about the cap of scripted mods, any more and frostfall starts to fail. It may work after the frostfall update but we'll have to see. One way to handle it is to use the Animations mod, and then use the "wait" function for an hour or two to simulate the time it takes to skin. That makes you not skin everything unless you need evening out realism and the economy. Unfortunately you lose some of hunterborns awesome features though. -

Love when ppl do this. Great poking fun at the modding community! My favorite are the people that end up thinking its real in the posts and totally missing the joke. That has to be by far the funniest part! Not going to lie, I'm cracking myself up in the forum over there. -

Really think we should have a vote to add this to SR:LE; link. It may be a game changer and we may have to rename the pack to Skyrim Revisited Again: Even more Legendarier Edition (or SRa:EmLE for short)! Who's with me!!!?? -

I download the pre-built SR patch every time, but have to then make my own patch after it anyway because of my own additions (ie REGS, PerMa, ect). I prefer the layout of the guide now. Can be a bit confusing at first but the further into the guide, the more it makes sense. Let's face it, the guide is actually pretty advanced for some people so it can take many hours of work and reading over to truly understand it. Moding is a skill, you get better with time but you can always learn something new even if you've been doing this since fallout! It takes people like neov to come along and streamline the complexity for some of us. I've read most of the STEP guides numerous times and still see stuff I've installed wrong, or didn't understand the first time around. -

I add "Animations" mod (on phone and can't link right now) for the potions problem. You then can't drink potions without putting away weapons and waiting for drinking animation to end. More realistic, and makes sucking them down during a fight much more strategic. As to combat mods, I like to to toture myself, but I always recommend skytweak to make things easier or harder. Let's you fix many parameters of game. -

Amazing quote, cstarkey! We need that to be the Nexus header! Or; "Thanks Bethesda, but we'll take it from here!" -

It's more of a "hey, maybe we should watch development", then "hey, I use this". I like to give mods some time to get tested by the community. If the features are on par or better then CH, then it might be worth switching over in SR:LE. I'm up for anything that drops some scripts or is at least more optimized. Really looking forward to Frostfalls update with the supposed streamlined script response time. Chesko is attempting to make his amazing mod have even better performance with better features. My computer, mainly my graphics card, still can't handle SR:LE very well. Vividian Performance destroys my fps, but it really is a masterpiece. Pro-tip; if you have imaginator installed adding 3-5 ticks in the "Cool midnight" tab makes cities look almost life like. You need to drop the blue when in snowy areas though. This is all on my monitor though. I'm really looking forward to the day someone has a Titan 12gb gpu and shows 100+ fps in Skyrim, a 4 year old game lol! It really is crazy that the technology is still not able to keep up with a four year old game. That is truly a testament to how ahead of it's time Skyrim is! -

It would seem this is getting some attention. It's out of the box compatible with EFF, and it seems to be less script heavy and buggy then Convienent horses. It's also being activly updated. Might be worth looking into.
