Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback

I needed to reload my skse 'scripts' folder recently. When I updated racemenu, it had a problem. Don't know if it's related in the slightest. -

Think we need an "Featured in Skyrim Revisited: LE" banner for included mods on the nexus! Just like GEMS. Who's a good graphic artist??!! SR:LE is updated more then GeMS and 10x more informational. -

Can I just go a bit off topic for a sec and point out that Kryptopyr reads this post... Kryptopyr; your a god!! And Bethesda owes you some profits of skyrim because you fixed their game for them! -
This "middle man" you speak of in about all cases is still a mega-corporation, so I think the few million they loose is not gonna break them. Though they would never take a profit loss, they'll pass it on to the consumer some how. I do agree we sue way too much in this country, but this is a case where the people need to do more then being good little sheep. Just my two cents though, I don't have the card. I do buy nvidia though.

I use combat evolved and deadly combat with good success. I also use Skytweak, a must for me, so I can tweak damage. I prefer a more real approach with high damage for all. In real life getting smacked with a mace should suck pretty bad. Skytweak allows me to modify many aspects of the game, and even removes the need for a few esp's. -
Just saw this, people are filing out a lawsuit. I say good to tell the truth.

The rule of thumb these days is to put some time in on your hardware to make sure it's not faulty out of box so then you can tell if you got a bad device or if it's a result of messing around with it. It's up to you though. The old school in me likes to break things in a bit too.

Does he merge esp's? Or is it worth updating?
-
That is a very valid reason Keep an eye on the EVO, here's a link to PCpartspicker. I got mine for $24 from Micro Center. Can't recommend it enough. I can run my i5 at a stable 4.8GHz as I said, and have not had heating issues. Mind you it's been cold as hell (edit: bad analogy) here for the last few months, so that might change in the summer. Sorry if this has all been off topic, but I did start the post Blame Neov for posting his computer pics!

I figured you were tech savvy, your name sort of gives it away and the fact that you've put together many STEP guides. I appreciate all the people who do that so thank you! Just giving my reasoning. So then my simple answer is; because I can OC. As a test when you have an hour or two you should OC your chip, preferably without the suite as you can get slightly better results yourself. Then you will see if you got a good chip or not. It's a techgeeks (like myself) scratch offs!!
-
Simple answer; because I can MUHAHAH! Jk, sort of. The reason I did it is because I bought a "K" version chip which is unlocked for OC'ing. If I was not going to OC, then I could have saved money with a non-"K" version. You have a "K" version, so if you're not going to OC at least a bit, you wasted some hard earned cash to a mega-corporation who does not need it. Another reason is because it has become much easier these days with modern MoBo's. And with the adaptive power settings, (set on only after finding a stable OC) it has better power usage and does not throw too much power through your chip all day long. Last reason is because it's fun to see if you hit the "overclocking lottery" or not! Even if you don't keep it OC'd, it's still fun to test. You can look it up online and compare. My i5-4690k is about average at 4.7 or 4.8 don't remember. That's a lot of free processor speed (10+ GHz on some i5's). You can even play it safe on those chips and OC a few GHz. 4.0 on my chip is extremely stable and safe. From what I've read, you can shave a year or two off your chip's 10+ year life span so I'm willing to take the risk since I'll probably upgrade in 3-4 years at most. My chip was $170, so it's a relatively cheap upgrade. EDIT: Here are some good links I've used for overclocking: BTW TechAngle, I notice you use an HDD, You can upgrade to a cheap 120GB SSD and put Steam and Skyrim on it. Helps loading in Skyrim a ton! Video 1 Good Forum Good Guide Video 2 Another Guide

The Coolmaster 212 evo cost me $24 and lets me overclock to 4.8 gh on my i5. Screw $150 liquid coolers!! Cool setup tho Neo. Looking over your home office setup and with the way you keep the guide so clean makes me feel your a military man?

Uhh, you sort of are the sage here...

No SR:LE updates!!! NO, NO I think the cards are great, think you're very lucky to have them. Love nvidia!! Their the best!!
-
It's a lot of money, and if they don't right the wrong, again, I think people should stand up for it. If we bend over, they will think it's ok and get worse and worse over time. It's human nature. It reminds me of the good old days when game developers started releasing games "unfinished" with the promise of "patching", which was very far-fetched at the time. Gamers let it slip and for a while and many games were released practically unplayable. Speaking of which, look at skyrim. It is a bit ridiculous that to this day we have "unofficial patches" to clean up the mess they left in game. I'm not saying we should not have some patches for unforeseen technology upgrades, but the level we're at now is a bit obscene.
-
Agreed, I still have faith they'll do something about it. But maybe it's misguided. If they don't, it is setting a very bad precedence for other parts makers. It's a slippery slope, if you live in the USSA then you understand all too well. Our system does this kind of smoke and mirrors sh!!t all the time!

Started a new topic so we have a better place to discuss. Don't know if you have seen this Neov, but it puts it into a good perspective. I really like the analogy in the beginning. Here's the link.
-
Either way, you've invested a lot of money into their product. I'm hoping they fix this in a way that allows buyers to trust them again. I love nvidia too, but I hope they do the right thing here.

Oh man, and you have 2 of them. They suck.

I'm an immersion lover, and typically use RnD with Sr:LE. Thanks for the new additions. We need an immersion section of SR:LE to go with our PerMa section Too many choices!! Ahhh. I also use the two dynamic things mods, which make exploring even more interesting. As well as living takes time, which is really good to even out the economy a bit. Also need to tweak trade and barter with dynamic things. I'm a fan of Hunterborn as well but you need to start dropping scripted mods like EBT and footprints. Yet to try loot and degradation, seems like it will help economies too. Edit: I'm having a problem with the merged dropbox link for the new bathing mod FYI. It's not linking correctly. -
Not following other thread. Not sure what that means Spock but it sounds like it's a good thing!!

TY, noticed the change in vividian. Need to see if this fixes the dark interiors and world at night. I tried the brighter versions but its still really dark after he updated the bloom stuff. I like immersion, but using a night eye mod indoors is not my idea of immersion. I know mengas aware but we'll see. Might go another ENB until it fixes. Not to mention vividian performance is still a bit of an fps killer for my 2gb card. PS- Realstic Aspens has updated Thanks so much Neovalen. You're the brest... I mean best!! -
