  1. Was reading over Crushboss's guide and saw some interesting suggestions. One that I have kept in the back of my head for a while but mainly ignored because of my OCD (not really, don't feel bad ) is that you should not update mods to newest version while playing because there is a good chance you can break your saves. Now because you are amazing at updating the guide, I read it daily and upgrade mods with you as I'm sure many others do. Do you follow this practice yourself Neov as it seems like it. And if yes, have you had broken saves or do you have a protocol for protecting yourself? Looking forward to your suggestions on how to run PerMa if you have plans to do so. I know we have a few months before the patches are out and things settle a bit, but curious to see your 'refined approach' on how to set it up with the patcher and load order. I learn a lot from your guides and your guidence! Thanks for all you do. Hope your computer is better.
  2. "In any case, I'm working on re-upping my PerMa install with the release version + patches... we shall see how the final version fares." Well that's very exciting, made my day. For the cold; drink lots of fluids and sleep, not a pill in the world beats that!
  3. I know how to solve this; Blame Obama!!
  4. Neovalen I've said it before, but I like to throw it out there again every so often; THANK YOU for your attention to detail and dedication. Your guide is amazing!
  5. I've already learned things from some of your previous posts, so a guide will really be helpful fire, thanks in advance!
  6. Wow, just found this pack after using SR:LE for months! Thank you for all the work!!
  7. I'm dying to do a skyre playthough and this is the only STEP guide that includes it, but with Garfink looking like he's out of the pic, is thr anyone that can put me on the right coarse to a SR:LE + personal taste mods + skyre playthrough? The skyre section of the guide is too outdated right now to make heads or tails of. Dread is doing a killer job, but I understand you don't mess around with skyre. I can sort of see why with all the patches to make it run, the upkeep seems intense!
  8. I screwed around in WB for a bit in that window. Seemed to do more harm then good, though I was blindly screwing with things. Thank god thr is an endless supply of SR Res patches to be downloaded ;)
  9. Read your guide, and already did that. Thanks for the response though, and the guides! I was thinking that too but was also just curious if it was possible. I use SRLE as my base for modding because it is so well updated and planed out, but I was hopeing to remove EBT and the children fixes. Also wanted to try out something other then EFF just for a change. No biggie.
  10. I'm curious if there is a way to remove a master from the resolution patch? I really don't care to have enhanced blood textures so I would love to free up space and save some scripting power. I know I can make my own resolution patch, but as often as SR updates it's a duanting thought. Thanks in advance!
  11. OK, Figured it out. Thank you Cstark. I've installed 3 STEP guides by now and I have to say this one is the most difficult by far for me. The Skyre patches are a bit advanced for novices like myself. Even more so because the author is away and not updating. Dreadflopp is doing an amazing job though, and is greatly appreiciated! Turns out you are just the person I have a few questions for, so glad you turned up Cstark, was gonna try and contact you! This is not really related to the guide and I'm sorry but I had a question about your "merged patches pastebin guide"; I was wondering about the problem I have with losing master's to things like 'conflict resolution patches' for something like SR:LE? Do you have a link to a detailed explaination for making merge patches. I get the gist, and have successfully merged things from that guide, but if I try and get away from the guide the patches no longer work. Don't know if I'm asking this right. If you can link to a place if you have explained in better detail so we don't take up this forum it would be appreiciated!!
  12. Attempting to get a feel for installing with guide as I've been following it for a long time. I know Garfink is away right now and this pertains to the "Skyre section" but I have a question about installing the " skyre compat and reproc patches" by xathra. The clothing and clutter optional says it should have an installer but when I run it through MO, the installer does not come up. Any help with either setting the MO differently or advise would be helpful. Sorry if this has been asked before, but the topic is getting long. We could really use a support forum like SR:LE.
  13. Ran through the new STEP 2.9 and it seemed pretty good, but I guess revisited could be more difficult. I use different setups, so learning both BOSS and LOOT. LOOT is getting much better, but still has growing pains. Didn't remember reading a few pages back, but now that you mention it I thnk I now recall.
  14. Hey Neov, You thinking of ever converting the guide to LOOT?
  15. I've tried to use the merge instructions for RS Children but TES5Edit is giving me an improper mege error. Am I doing something wrong? TY in advance.
  16. Man I wish I had vacations as long as his... ;P
  17. That did it Neovalen, don't know how I picked the wrong one but your brain does get fried after following the guide for a while. Thanks for the help all! And Neo, thanks again for a great guide and all the work you do for the modding community! Really enjoy your attention to detail, very helpful guide and a great learning tool. I actually followed the guide to learn how to better mod until I get an SDD. When I do, I'll have to do it all over again, but the guide makes people a pro overnight. Great stuff!
  18. Thanks for reply, thought it might be a problem many people have and there might be a straight forward answer. Guess I'll have to troubleshoot. It's not the acceleration, it's similar to if you have immersive first person installed, which I don’t, and so the camera is slightly off where it normally is in vanilla (a little higher) and it's very sensitive. When I shoot back into third person its fine. I use nvidia inspector presets per guide, and I have tested the ENB before I ran the full install. I tested a few times while installing revisited and had no camera issues. I’m not entirely sure what a “graphics tablet†is but as I said I started running into problems after full install. *edit* think you mean a graphics tablet for animations and the like, no I don't have one. Really seems to be a in game camera issue, not an imput device issue* I have an evga 750ti with the current driver, and I’m running on vista x64. If you can give me more detail on what a tablet is, maybe that is the cause. Thanks for the reply and your time!
  19. So I got SR all loaded up and no ctd'd, but when I'm in first person mode my camera is floating and overly responsive. If there is a post in this topic I can't find it. Any advice would be great! Thanks!
  20. I'm having a bit of a problem with the merge, I know this is prob the wrong forum but it's the most read. I'm a bit confussed about the part after the merge. Are we suppose to take the renamed merge "CoT-WeatherPatch - Merged" and replace the original "CoT-WeatherPatch" in Mod Organizer? Because when I do that I end up with only 3 esp's in my optional esp box. Thanks for the guide, thanks for your time!
  21. Really great work here guys! Thanks for putting it together. I've been following for a while and wanted to mention.
