  1. Thanks! I'll check out those rocks and then COC over to Blackreach for the particles.
  2. That SPM graph is a bit concerning... Your GPU should not be maxed out like that. My GTX760 does not do that...of course if this is from the beginning cart ride it might though. That is the most intensive scene you'll ever experience in Skyrim. Make sure you are running the latest drivers which are the v344.48. I can make a run to find out if my maxes out during the cart ride if I have too, but that points me to an issue with the card or drivers. Not with Skyrim. How are other games?
  3. If my instructions above for resetting the INIs were followed, then those two INIs should have been deleted and the launcher will recreate them as defaults when you open it.
  4. Voted for it on Greenlight!
  5. Make sure you're not limiting your frame rate in the enblocal.ini file, in the drivers, or in the INIs anywhere. In fact, just reset your INIs: Delete your two INIs in the My GamesSkyrim folder. Go to Steam and launch the game to open the launcher. This will recreate your INIs (with your hardware it'll most likely set to Ultra settings but change what you want). Close the launcher and open MO. Copy and paste your default INIs into the INI Editor within MO. SaveLaunch the game from MO and see if that fixed it. If you reinstall ENBoost, follow this Guide: https://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:ENB#tab=ENBoost
  6. Would this be an accurate statement? Because try as I might, I never since in difference in object reflections. The only difference I could find (with the help of Mangaclub) that the reflection effect made was more to the reflection of environmental lighting on some surfaces like waterfalls. EDIT: The only two compares I have yet been able to take is the original post processing and SoftParticles. For soft particles I've only been able to find a tiny amount within some fireplaces and and there...barely enough for a compare. Does anyone have any ideas on this one? Also, if anyone has any better ideas for locations to better capture any of the effects, please let me know!
  7. Thanks for the advice! I'll have a look into those locations. I have the updated enbeffect.fx file since it was the only one I notice that was updated, but I'll check again to make sure none of the others were as well. EDIT: Ah! sure enough a bunch of files in the enbseries folder were updated as well. I'll grab all the files again.
  8. Thanks! I'm working on weekend myself, but will be around in the mornings and evenings.
  9. I need some help on good locations to be able to capture the Mist, Reflection, and SoftParticles effects. I'll also need help getting the original post processing to work in Vividian Vanilla again so that I can capture that effect. I'm using the experimental v6 that can be downloaded here: https://forum.step-project.com/topic/3828-vividian-weather-lighting-enhancement-cot-rcrn-and-pure-weather/?p=99376 EDIT: I'm now thinking an alternative preset might be the better way to go that was all the options available. Maybe prod's Serenity ENB since it has all the options turned on but a couple and those I can tell have been altered so turning them on should have an effect...think I'll do this. EDIT2: Scratch that...Serenity's effects aren't as visible as Vividian Vanilla.
  10. Ran into a bit of odd looking sky while using your Vanilla v6 experimental: https://i.imgur.com/fA83Adv.jpg This was at dusk. The blue in the sky with the warm, orange sunlight beaming just looks a bit off. Also, what are your Mist settings doing? I'm using Vividian Vanilla for the compares in the EFFECT section of the ENBSeries INI Guide and can't figure out a good place to capture the effect of the Mist...nor Reflections for that matter. If you could point me in the right direction for either or both of those effects that would be great!
  11. I'm not in the testing or anything. TC provided me a direct link to play the alpha back in July.
  12. Looks like it's come along quite a bit since I played it. Didn't know what I was doing but it kept me entertained for a good hour before I had to return to real life.
  13. Best way to do that would probably be as we're doing the INI Guide. The format I have in place can be used on just about any type of Guide. Like Z mentioned above, any code should be placed within the pre tags. Tag formatting can all be done with CSS to make it look neat, nice, and better presentable. Since this all has to do with ENBs, it should be an auxiliary guide to the main ENB Guide as the INI Guide is. All the advanced auxiliary guides can be linked from within the Advanced section of the main ENB Guide itself. So you end up with an organized and tiered structure like so: ENB Guideenbseries.ini Reference Guide.fx Guidesfx functions reference listEnbSeries Weather Guide
  14. Yeah, I still don't know what exactly he's asking for... As for an update, I've updated the Global and Effect sections with some compare images. Still missing some, but I'm getting a start on it.
  15. It's better to create pages on the wiki and edit those rather than uploading actual files. Tell me what you need exactly and I'll be happy to create the structure.
  16. What archive are you talking about?
  17. The poly count and texture is crazy high for such a small object that can been rendered multiple times in one scene. If it actually possible to slow down your system in some situations.
  18. I actually really enjoyed the Neverwinter games. They kept me busy for hours! I get what you're saying about DA:O; however, it's just enough to keep you entertained. I just wish it was an open world environment like Skyrim. Personally I'm more excited about the new Civilization game: Civilization: Beyond Earth than I am about the new DA game.
  19. Hi, Bronze! Glad to see you joined. Just read the thread if you haven't yet and then jump into the conversation and/or edit the wiki. @Aiyen and Matso, I like where this is going! Please continue... @Hishutup, That's true, you guys can edit your signatures on your profile page. I've linked to all contributor's files on the Nexus on the Introduction in the Thank You section. I'll add Bronze's in a moment. I like Bronze's work, especially Seasons of Skyrim.
  20. This is what this thread is for. Authors are encouraged to discuss such things! If any "best practices" result from a group effort of authors/users then that's all the better! STEP is all about those "best practices". Please do, discuss and come up with the best solution! I shall be a spectator and pretend as if I know what you are all talking about...might even learn something in the process. EDIT: Also, keep in mind that if any best practices result from any discussion, the more users that use the Guide as a reference will be that many more users putting those best practices into...practice.
  21. I've not seen anything like this before.
  22. Exactly! I'm also using it to know who is actually contributing to what so I can write a more proper Thank You section later. Not a bad idea! You can add any non-GUI configurable information at the bottom of that page for your code. Others can do the same if they wish. It can either stay on the page or we can make a sub-page that contains all this information at a later time.
  23. I don't think he'll be joining us but I did want to share prod80's message with the group:
  24. @hishutip, Thanks for the offer but I'll take care of the screens. It all needs to be done on the same system and in the exact same manner for consistency. For that, it's ideal for one person to handle them all. Once I pick my spots out, and if your system is set up in the exact same manner, then I can share the saves and have you help. @All, The shots will be taken from a STEP Core or Extended installation. That shouldn't matter in the end because no one is going to be playing on an unmodded Skyrim. I'm thinking STEP:Core would be better since it's closer to vanilla. For the [EFFECTS] section, I'm planning on using an ENB Preset (probably Vividian Vanilla). Since the out-of-the-box preset from ENB Dev isn't set up for the best compare for actual effects by default, I think it would be best to use an author's Preset to get the biggest visual difference with them on and off in this section. For the rest of the sections, I was planning on using the default Preset from ENB Dev as JawZ and Aiyen mentioned. It's best to use the default preset because that is what most authors should be using as a base when they start editing to build their own preset. Anyone who starts from scratch will see the same thing on their monitors that will be in the shots on the Guide because vanilla is the foundation. The only acceptation to this would be if the author created and changed their shaders first. (I don't know which is the more common path to take...change enbseries.ini first or change your shaders first?) If it's more common to change shaders before editing the INI, then I wouldn't be against using an already made Preset like Vividian Vanilla. @SkyRealism, MTichenor is great at what he does. I used to use SkyRealism and was a heavy supporter of it in the past; however, his presets are fairly out-dated and he doesn't seem to have much interest in updating them because he doesn't see much use in the new effects or simply doesn't have the time. We would need a preset that is updated to the latest version of ENBSeries; v0.264, in order to properly finish the Guide with a preset rather than the out-of-the-box ENB. I agree with JawZ and Aiyen on this one.
  25. Too bad this never was solved. My first thought was Transparency AA was on in the drivers causing the issue. You should also set up your ENBoost settings manually. I know the mod page says to use the Autodetect feature, but it's actually not ideal because it gets it wrong in many cases. I'll be discussing that with Staff at a later date to change it.
