pack A Real Explorer's Guide to Skyrim
Alkira replied to CJ2311's topic in Step Skyrim LE Packs (retired)
Hi, Is it normal that within your REGS Patch - Complete there are 3 times REGS Complete as File Header in TES5Edit? Alkira. -
Good evening Barvis, Did you have a look at ENBLocal.ini too? Alkira.

Good evening, ASIS is unstable (along others spawning mods) as far as I know but a real good one on the same time. It makes the engine calculate more often thus CTDs more often. Although it is a great mod, it seems hard to add it along with the VEGA Extended Pack which is in a frozen state (am I right?) at the moment. Obviously this is only my opinion. Edit: A patch is available for SkyRe to run along Apocalypse Spell Package, did someone try it? Edit 2: Will try it anyway. Edit 3: I guess Nearox is working on updating the pack, thanks if so. I didn't see your work commitments, some posts before, sorry. Edit 4: I already use Realistic Room Rental enhanced version instead. Do I still have to install the basic version (thus removing the REGS' one)? Edit 5: I will install this pack anyway and report anything relevant;). Edit 6: BOSS doesn't recognize the basic version of RRR as the proper one for the BQO Patch. I suggest to rename the esp as the bsa has already been unpacked OR to not check the BQO Patch. Alkira.

Good evening, Great idea indeed. It should be balanced enough not to frighten people with the ingredients they need nor let others cook only one thing that is overpowerful to be used as a single dish (imo). At least make people willing to make different dishes to reinforce specific skills and so on. Suitable for any hunterborn or cookerborn:). Alkira.

Was thinking of thing like that, indeed. Thanks. Edit: I disabled TemporalAA in ENBLocal.ini and the issue disappeared. Thanks Nearox. Alkira. -

I will try to record something this evening to show (or even the screenshot is enough) if I have time to do so (never did that before so it'll take time). I'm not at home atm, will check that later. But it could also come from the association between WnL mods and the ENB (most probable cause so) if nothing happened regarding your test. Thanks for that. Will try tonight and give you feedback on PM (not directly related to your pack thus nothing to do with this thread I think). Alkira. -

At the moment I only use STEP Core (Baseline) , WnL and your REGS packs. I don't use any other body mod nor external texture at the moment (but I'm willing to). I got your point and I'm glad it is unlikely to be caused by your Pack. But still this is something I have to understand. Alkira. -

Good morning, First test was to launch the game (no alternate start) yesterday. It worked well except that people in the carriage (Ralof, the thief and Ulfric) had their body skin lines like doubling/shaking (hard to explain sorry). I will probably send a screenshot at the end of the day to better show what happened. Well it happened with the ENB I'm currently using (Ruvaak Dahmaan ENB Redone at https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/40088). While I paused the ENB, the problem disappeared. My guess is that something goes wrong with the files (meshes and/or textures) included in your REGSv1.0.rar (something with facegendata or facetint I don't know how it works neither what it does). I'm not sure the problem is carried on along the main quest while in Helgen, I will have to chek that (this evening). I would take any advice to identify precisely the issue IOT work on that in case it happens for someone else. Alkira. -

Got it. I'm currently loading all my plugins under TES5Edit. Just a comment: REGS - Complete+RRR Patch.esp is to be loaded before the STEP Core Patch.esp but STEP is the base of my build-up (meaning all the packs are to be added after it), thus I was thinking to load your patch after the STEP one, that you don't recommended, why? pack Immersive Survival (by tehherb)

Get more info there, it confirms what Neovalen said about the distribution of the cloaks. WnC page: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/27563/ Alkira. -
Good afternoon oqhansoloqo, As far as I know CoS makes people of Skyrim to wear different types of Cloak depending of the regions from where they come. On the other hand, WnC will make people wear even hoods to protect themselves from the weather conditions (rain and snow). For compatibility reasons you should use (option 1) the CRAFTING version of WIC altogether with CoS as it is suggested in the Survival Pack's guide (from Smile44:)) OR use (option 2) the compatibility patch but it is better to vote for option 1 (IMO:) for less plugins and best compatibility otherwise it makes a lot of cloaks around there in the game). Edit: word correction; Edit2: better go to the WnC page here: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/27563/ Alkira.

If I'm right, your load order for the REGS patches should be : What about the others? 1 - Last in the load order? Or each one after its original (eg REGS - Solitude.esp AFTER Solitude a City of Trade.esp) OR 2 - BEFORE the STEP Core Patch in the order you gave above? Just to confirm my understanding. Thanks. Edit: I'm sorry for having double posted. Alkira. -

Good Morning, @Nearox: ah ok. So many patches:o_O:. I guess you wanted to make it as modular as possible to update when needed. I still have my plugins number below the limit:happy:. Thanks. Edit: word was missing. Alkira. -

Hi, So you did replace the plugins of most of the mods used in your guide, correct? But where are these? Did I misunderstand something? Thanks for this work. I will give any feedback afterwards. Alkira -

Good afternoon, I'm back again to report what I've done to update my conflict resolution patch using your recommended steps. Note that I've installed STEP Core (Baseline) + Weather and Lighting Pack + Explorer's Guide Pack with the intention to add WALL and VEGA Extended as well (too ambitious ?? Maybe  ). But life is too short. BTW please find below my comments: Well not much to solve here for me. Edit: small changes. Alkira -

Alkira replied to CJ2311's topic in Step Skyrim LE Packs (retired)
Hi Nearox, I've just played 1 hour till now without any issue (no CTD, ILS nor freeze at all even around Whiterun). This is only the basic test I make each time to be sure the game launch. I didn't stress the graphics nor the weather and I have some more conflicts to solve (beginning with the last of your conflict resolution steps;)) but it sounds good. My journey has just begun. I will carry on the last conflict resolution steps you recommend and report the results. I understand your challenges and hope to be of better help next time. Thanks. Edit: grammar corrections. Edit 2: Ok, I've seen an update of the STEP Core. Then I think about updating my patch but I'm not sure of the easier way to do so. Any advice ? Can I just make a merged patch (using a merge script) with the new STEP Core and mine ? Thanks for any help. Alkira. -

Good evening, After installing the mods from your pack and began to solve the conflicts, here is what I've found so far (Note that I have installed STEP: Core (Baseline) and the Weather and Lighting Pack. All my records are saved in the STEP Core Patch and renamed each time I add a Pack eg STEP-C+WL+EG Patch currently): I'm not sure it will be of any help but it might be of interest for anyone mixing the packs available out there. Good evening (or good morning for some people), Comment (because I like your pack :)) : You should add the mods needed to be changed from the STEP:Core (to make it compatible with Falskaar when added for example). Great initiative again. Thanks. Alkira. -
WALL - Immersive Clothing & Equipment
Alkira replied to Nearox's topic in Step Skyrim LE Packs (retired)
Good evening, Are you using the EN-LL version or not for Crossbows Basic Collection Mod? I'd rather use the non-LL version (for stability purposes between mods) but I prefer to ask. Thanks for any advice on that. Alkira. Hi Crimson13, I agree with you regarding the integration of this mod into this pack (I'm currently installing WALL over other packs :)). alkira. WALL has never evolved into more than a list of mods though... Compatibility probably won't be too much of an issue, but you should be aware that nothing has been tested.I've guessed that but it doesn't matter too much for me.I will patch everything (if needed) to make it work as it. Actually, I will make a patch for each pack I am to use and merge all in one after testings one by one. My long journey has already begun . Edit1: that said I will include your VEGA-Extended pack as well. Edit2: thanks for your reply, I appreciated. Alkira.
