  1. You mean Skyrim HD, not Skyrealism I think. But fair enough, it seems to me from your comments like your not a big fan of Bethesdas own textures so I see where your coming from. If your not aware of it, I'd recommend you check out his Skyrim HD Enviroments retextures to complement RCI.
  2. As was stated in the thread you linked what your probably experiencing is improperly done retextures, if they could even be called that. Popularity rarely equals quality, especially when it comes to large scale retexture mods that need to fit together. I'm not against your overall point, but to see an example of high quality seamless retextures of the same areas as Raiserfxs you should check out Skyrim Realistic Overhaul for another take. You might still prefer this mod but if you haven't even seen it your definetely missing out.
  3. Have you tried both injector and wrapper version? Oh, and not that I think it matters, but whose enb profile are you using? And are you using any other image space modifiers (rcrn, cot etc)?
  4. Doesn't seem exactly like what I experienced. I'd do a reinstall of the enb and re-check so all necessary adjustments to inis and whatnot is done correctly.
  5. I appreciate Raiserfxs retextures, but prefer Staracs since they merge more seamlessly into Skyrims overall art direction. Raiserfxs textures are a bit to crisp and clean by comparison. So I'm kinda on the opposite end of the opinion spectrum from mothergoose ;)
  6. Seems to me like its going to be a somewhat standard MMO. Looks promising so if you like that playstyle and are interested in ETS lore it should be great. If not, well, you won't :) Its not gonna be really comparable to the single player version of ETS, so if thats what your expecting your gonna be dissapointed. From the interviews I've read and watched I don't believe its gonna "ruin" established lore, although lore fanatics will probably find fault since they always do. More exposure for the Elder Scrolls universe is always positive in my mind, so even though I likely won't actually play it I hope it achieves some success!
  7. ENB SSAO in Skyrim causes it, no known fix yet according to Boris, creator of ENB series.
  8. While I appreciate the mesh adjustments from SMIM I would always choose the textures from SRO when given the choice. I read somewhere of a possibility of Staracs textures being used in a future version of SMIM but I'm unsure of its validity. Sure would have been sweet though.
  9. Sounds like the problem I had with the latest Nvidia beta drivers. Going back to the latest release version fixed it.
  10. I've installed both, and they don't overwrite each other.
  11. I think all three are nice :)
  12. Matherian Viking Shields Set probably.
  13. So it is playable. How much VRAM it takes? You can check this with MSI Afterburner. Measuring with GPU-Z running around outside and inside Whiterun I use around 1.55. Biggest difference from many people's setup is probably that I currently only use Vurts plant textures, using the full pack with what the STEP (or TPC) guide currently recommends will probably add on quite a bit. Edit: The 2 gb card is a quite recent purchase, I did actually use the mixed resolution package Starac recommends when I had a 560 ti 1 gb card and in ran ok although I had to be careful with what I added to it. You use 4096k mountains? No, I didn't have them installed at that time. But I did do a new test just now, running around on the plains outside Whiterun (and being attacked by a dragon) I peaked at 1,75 gb with 4k mountains installed.

  15. I have 2 gb Vram and am currently using the 2k textures along with quite a few other HD armor, weapon and character textures as well as the HD DLC, SMIM, and WATER. Works fine although I'm probably pushing it :)
  16. Personally, I've gone from being a S.T.E.P. user to basically only using HD DLC, SRO, SMIM, parts of Vurts, RCI, and WATER as enviroment texture replacers. These are all quality works that have been reiterated on for a long time by dedicated and talented individuals, since before I started playing actually. I've come to appreciate just how good the "vanilla" textures really are and I think many tend to go overboard when it comes to modding, installing higher resolution textures for marginal if any actual real increase in quality while really playing the game. It worries me when STEP contributors talks almost disdainfully about "vanilla" and even worse doesn't even seem to be playing the game anymore. Now I am well aware of it being my own opinion and that modding at its core is about actually modifying the game according to your own or a "mission" goal like with STEP, I just like to say that a more complex procedure isn't necessarily a better one. Often just the opposite, again in my opinion. And Starac, I really hope that your textures will be available somewhere even if you do decide to remove them from Nexus. I wish you wouldn't but I understand why you'd do it :)
  17. Have you tried them? In my opinion you get very little idea how a ENB plays from screenshots so my advice is to try it out since performance can also differ dramatically between different users rigs. You dont run any risk of ruining any game saves from trying a ENB so no reason to not just download and test it out. It will tell you infinitely more then other peoples opinions.
  18. Its still up, search "manually" on Nexus.
  19. I use almost all of Madcat221s mods. Its a nice collection of mostly smaller changes and additions that in my opinion makes a great difference in-game.
  20. I don't mind it really, easy enough to use along with Nexus. I havent tried many of his Quest mods and the ones I have tried has had some weird in-game glitches, but nothing game-breaking. Apart from his Places, No Blur and equipment mod I'm running his latest quest mod Sorcery in my current playthrough but haven't had the opportunity to run into it yet. The amount of things to do and explore in this game still amazes me :)
  21. Thirteenoranges. Good content mods, you'll only find updated versions of his mods on Steam though.
  22. His last update evidently, on the Bethesda forum thread he says he wont have time to do any more modding so hopefully someone interested can continue development on it.
  23. Far as I know, doesn't matter how good your system is. The Skyrim engine isn't build for higher Ugrids so sooner or later your game is screwed. Weird AI behaviour is part of that.
  24. Discussion thread: Better Animal Footsteps by Volnaiskra Wiki Link Definately a candidate, don't you think? Video Nexus link
