  1. Ah, ok. So the mod doesn't "remove armor penalties" but add bonuses to magic use when your unarmored :)
  2. There is no penalty to wearing armor regarding magic use in vanilla Skyrim...Â
  3. No matter what texture I've applied to the snowberries they've always looked fake and this little mod that simply decreases the size of its model is the best solution I've found so far. I've not noticed any compatability issues with Vurts or other current STEP mods. So until someone (I think Brumbek has been taking a look at it) makes an actual 3d model of it I think this is a good solution if you agree that the current model is horrible. Link to mod The mod page has before and after screenshots.
  4. I've found this can happen on occassions when you come upon a scripted scene in a "unexpected way", for example when using Alternate Start by Arthmoor I've started as a member of the companions and then when I've entered Whiterun proper Arianne (sp?, the blacksmith) was having the conversation with the Battle-born fellow without him actually being there. Similar things have happened on a vanilla install on occassions when I've been sent to jail in a city I've not discovered yet. Its worth noting that this doesn't seem to be reproducable since sometimes the scenes play out as expected and sometimes not. Wet and Cold can also cause this, since depending on the weather, the mod can interfer with scripted scenes/events. Isoku seems to be aware of this though and has made exceptions so the mod won't interfer with scripted events like that. I doubt this is a serious issue though, unless you come across it alot I wouldn't worry about it.
  5. Yes, I've had no issues with it.
  6. I think its .119 that had the problem. Either way, 310.70 and the 121212 ENB doesnt have the problem as far as I've noticed.
  7. Its not textures per se, its shaders. And they appear like that when using certain lighting/weather mods/enbs etc. Better Dynamic Snow sometimes helps, other times they make it worse depending on what other modifications you use.
  8. I'm quite dissapointed by how most people have responded to all this...
  9. I'd just add, to NMMs defense, that it does still allow renaming mod names and contrary to popular belief it does reinstall overwritten textures etc after uninstallation of said overwrites. That said, it certainly lacks alot of features still that you'd get with other installers. But for my purposes it is more then enough and I have not had the need for other intallers (other then bash patching), for my own setups or STEP for that matter.
  10. I've stopped using Vurts more or less, although I keep experimenting with adding grass/plant textures from time to time. I've found that SRO's bark textures work alot better for me then the Vurts/treesHD ones, especially the snow variants look horrible in my opinion. The newest grass update look ok but I haven't used/observed it much yet. Spanian77s alternative LOD is also better then Vurts default replacer, since it makes the snowcovered trees stand out less in particular. Anoldfriends tree LODs is probably the best alternative though. Overall though, I find less and less use for flora textures (excluding LOD) when using a good ENB.
  11. Yes I have. Skyrim update v11 is the illegal torrent release of the latest Skyrim patch, hence your using a pirated copy. https://www.google.se/#hl=sv&safe=off&tbo=d&sclient=psy-ab&q=skyrim+update+v11+torrent&oq=skyrim+update+v11+torrent&gs_l=hp.3...10536.11688.2.11925.8.8.0.0.0.0.91.442.8.8.0...0.0...1c.1.xocBCyAEb8A&pbx=1&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_cp.r_qf.&fp=758245b70cb9a0bc&bpcl=39468505&biw=1920&bih=965
  12. Might be because your probably using a pirated copy of the game, re: skyrim update v11.
  13. Yeah, I'd "confirm" that this LOD doesn't look out of place with Vurts. Although the LOD variant by Spanian77 does much the same thing with a lesser hit to performance.
  14. I just use Skyrim Realistic Overhaul and some very few other small texture packs that doesn't conflict with it. If you want easy and still great looking its hard to go wrong with SRO. One very easy way to get great textures and mesh fixes is to install full SRO 1.1, then SMIM, RCI and WATER. Then last you apply the SRO 1.6 update. If you want better plants and grass, download Vurts but only install those folders as loose files.
  15. That's what I get with using all of Vurts textures, with and without BDS. Pretty sure TPC came out like that when I tried it. That's probably one of the worst results with those textures though. Certain ENBs make it look really bad as well, something with the snow shaders I believe.
  16. Yes, that's how it looks. I'd guess you are using the bark textures from Vurts? In my opinion the vanilla ones look better, or Skyrim Realistic Overhaul which I use. Also Better Dynamic Snow. Snow look crappy no matter what you do in some places though.
  17. Yes. Atleast mine are.
  18. I've not had any problems with it the times I've used it, except for the dialogue bug but that's easily fixed. The author(s) likely won't update it until some new skse functions are implemented from what I've heard.
  19. I didn't notice any, probably since its only "indoor" buildings so far.
  20. Ok, your saying vram won't help much when it comes to upping ugrids? If its a problem with the game engine is there a unofficial fix that will help? Hope that made sense.. No, because while it will look pretty your game will become unstable sooner or later. Some people have said that they've managed ugrids 7, but from the more knowledgeable modders I've heard thats more a fluke of luck then anything else. Read a few comments from people recently also that patch 1.8 has made it even more foolhardy to actually play with anything but ugrids 5. Also, I've ran a modded Skyrim with full 2k SRO textures and quite a few HD models. I topped out on 1.75gb vram at ugrids 5 so a full HD STEP install at ugrids 7 will most certainly go over 2 gb by all accounts. Edit: Forgot I used 4k mountains, with 2k mountains it was slightly under 1.7 gb.
  21. Won't matter much if your talking about upping ugrids, its the game engine itself that have trouble handling it.
  22. This looks really promising, haven't run into any issues with it so far.
  23. [video=youtube] I know, juvenile, but still oh so funny :)
  24. Seems alright, although I've used Open Faced Helmets by Madcat221 so far. It has taken care of the more annoying ones in my opinion, but seeing as this one is customizable I might use parts of it.
  25. Nothing wrong with being juvenile ;)
