Dunno, just had a chance to try the solid before work. Will check out the others tonight. -
ACCEPTED Gemling Queen Dragon Claws (by Saerileth)
Noobsayer replied to Noobsayer's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
She just updated these with a new solid version that looks better than the original in indoor lighting, AND a transparent version. These went from "better than vanilla" to "plain gorgeous" imo. -

SKYRIMLE No Snow Under the Roof (by Prometheus)
Noobsayer replied to Allsunday's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I still found dirty edits in the newest version of DG + DB. Sleep deprivation doesn't explain feeling entitled to endorsements, or wielding them as some weird sort of blackmail. This isn't in my current playthrough. Once he stops frequent updates I may look at it again, if he's actually made fixes to things people have pointed out as important. I just don't have the energy to pore over his work right now, especially since detailed feedback on that sort of thing is ignored. -

I posted them for him, ironically enough. linkie Down to the nodes. Might be some more now, haven't checked the latest versions. -
SKYRIMLE No Snow Under the Roof (by Prometheus)

Thing is, I suspect he's poured quite a few hours into it. He's handplacing snow on farmhouses, city buildings (like Winterhold) and ruins, adding piles of snow by hand, editing walkways to have cleared spots ... it's not a small undertaking, looking at the number of entries in TES5Edit. I don't get putting that much time into something and then not taking 10 extra seconds to clean it, or maybe 5-10 minutes more to forward USKP changes. -
SKYRIMLE No Snow Under the Roof (by Prometheus)

Imo the author's attitude is relevant in the sense that a lot of potential problems -- dirty edits, no USKP changes forwarded, masters in the wrong order -- are being stubbornly ignored. I think it looks great, I'm just not sure the downsides outweigh the positives. -

I have a question about the SKSE ini memory edits. If I am not exceeding the 512 (I've run it through its paces with the Memory Blocks Log thing) is there any reason I should have DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB=768? -

Yeah, I'm fighting the extremely petty urge to unendorse just because of attitude and refusal to consistently even clean the damn thing with TES5Edit. -
Discussion thread: Gemling Queen Dragon Claws by Saerileth Wiki Link Texture and mesh replacement for the dragon claws. Improved Gemstone Claws is just a mesh replacer so this is more comprehensive. Could probably use a compare with both meshes, Not Really HD Claws n such. Transparent version is in the works so worth keeping an eye on. EDIT: And here are the compares here, too. Compares, no ENB. Let me know if anybody wants more closeups or whatever. Accepted for STEP 2.2.9 Core.

Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback

Heh no, I know how frustrating it must be for authors to have people clearly disregard mod requirements, or remove a bunch of scripted stuff (poor wasite and his Touring Carriages ... so much user fail lol) and then blame their mod. Loaded a few games up with Minty's mod active tonight, no dump. So must have been the weather when it initialized the time it gave me problems, as he said. -

I didn't crash (I was just reviewing the log after closing) but ... What constitutes a stack? Enough of the same error for it to freeze pastebin when I try to copy it all in there? :P Cause that's what happened, lol. I had to send a single example of the error because it froze my browser trying to paste either in the PM or pastebin. I'm not talking a few lines, here :) That said, I contacted Minty about it. He suggested that I may have been in a "storm" weather when I activated the mod, which caused the error. I was testing a few things so I don't recall what type of weather I loaded into (though it certainly did storm at one point), but I'll be doing some further testing either tonight or tomorrow. I'll post back either way. -
Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback
Noobsayer replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
Bit concerned by papyrus spam Minty's Lighting mod is causing me. It's such a large amount that when copying into pastebin, pastebin froze up. I was using the regular version on a testsave (w/out CoT) but I thought it might be something to mention. -

Just in case anyone else was having this problem, I went over all my settings and I had disabled allowing Frostfall to manage fast travel. Turning that option back ON, I have been unable to reproduce crashes on fast travel. -
Yeah I don't think you read what Dynamic Potions actually does. It's not at all the same thing :)
-
WAT. This thing keeps getting better. I can now ditch my alchemy overhaul for my next playthrough. I mostly kept it around for the price adjustments. Will check out making presets too. :D
-
New modder, but I enjoyed messing with them on a testsave. :) Might make it into a new game for me.

SKYRIMLE iNeed - Food Water and Sleep by isoku
Noobsayer replied to CJ2311's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
The downsides for raw food have been bumped up quite a bit, as well as severity of the penalites. Haven't had a chance to test it ingame w/ the new changes, just throwing it out there. -
SKYRIMLE No Snow Under the Roof (by Prometheus)
Noobsayer replied to Allsunday's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
He's added piles of snow on the ground. That's one of the reasons for the ESP. When snow has begun to melt it often makes those sharp dropoffs like seen on the roof. I think it looks really solid, I'm just hoping Better Town Textures patch gets updated to be compatible w/ latest versions. I'd rather not have to choose, lol. The author has made some notes about Better Dynamic Snow and SMIM compatibility on a sticky post. I'm not savvy enough to know if he's right, though, lol. EDIT: And maybe it's the language barrier but as a potential user I feel like I'm being blackmailed into propping up his/her ego. Holy prima donna behavior. -
Just looked at Vividian. Very different from your old choice but looks great! Nice decision imo :)

SKYRIMLE Automatic Variants (by Leviathan1753)
Noobsayer replied to Anosognos's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Yeah, I was already using his monster retextures but stumbled across the AV package and it got the wheels turning. :) -
Tried it out a couple of times on new game test saves -- so not extensively, but a little. I use Alternate start. I loaded into Windhelm during various times of day (as intended) and twice with a holiday active (Saturalia and something and Tallows) and several times with none active. Limited testing says working as intended. Alduin and some other dates are "dynamic" so they're set based on when you actually do those things.

SKYRIMLE Automatic Variants (by Leviathan1753)
Noobsayer replied to Anosognos's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I was looking at these guys. Giants, hagravens, falmer and trolls. Falmer are mosly indoors so should be OK I'd think. The rest are rare enough I don't think it'd be a problem. EDIT: And I'm not adding creature spawns with any mods. -

EDIT: WHoops, totally wrong thread! LOL. Sorry bout that. -
Why the preference for latest binaries on performance version? Don't most of the newest goodies get turned off anyway to preserve FPS?
