you can adjust the particles in the mcm menu. just wait till a snowstom comes in (or use the article in the modpage to force one) and then you can adjust it performancewise -
Gretings everyone, i would like to annouce that Vivid weathers is finally online! https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/73937/ Vivid Weathers is the latest and biggest Weather and Visual Overaul for SkyrimIt overauls all the Skyrim Weathers and imagespaces as well as add a whole bunch of new Weathers (500+) and effects (Snowstorms, blizzards, thick fog, distant fogs, distant rain, particle snowflakes...)...and much more! It includes all features of Real skyrim Snowflakes, Vivid Clouds & Fogs, COT, ESS and SS.It is especially tweaked to look stunning without a ENB in use - so also weaker Rigs get immersive weathers. Some Features: - Over 500+ Weathers - Clear, Cloudy, Blizzards, Stormsnows, Rainy ,Stormrain, Foggy and Thunder weathers... everything you need!- Complete replacement and enhancement for all imagespaces so a ENB is not needed to have a immersive weather experience- Adjustable Interior and night brigtnes via ingame MCM menu- Adjustable Saturation via ingame MCM menu- Over 150 new cloud textures- 16 new deep thunder sounds for bad weathers- Immersive sunrise and sunsets by selective cloud coloring.- Extended groundfogs that adds volumetric fogs on foggy weathers- Real skyrim snowflakes that add ingame particle snow for a complete new snow and blizzard feeling- New stars and galaxy textures- Distant mountainfogs and Rain effects- Moving fog particles during heavy fogs- Immersive sunsets/sunrise textures- Replaces and fixed alot of Smoke and Fog textures (Vivid Clouds and Fogs)- includes a Highly optimized ENB for all weathers with the new DUSK and DAWN feature (ENB 0.305+ required) - Enhanced ENB Friendly Ambient, Tint, Fog, Cloud colors Future Updates- Support for DLC like Dragonborn and Dawnguard- Support for third party mods like wyrmstooth, summerset isle .. and all those who add custom weathers.- More options in the MCM menu like Bloom - Support for Frostfall- Complete support for Mintys lighting mod
-
you mean the locational weathers? well, thats more intresting for interiors to switch between different presets of ambient lightings and bloom for different dungeons. The only place i can remember wich could benefit from that are the interiors in markarth and the blue palace wich usually always overblooms.

i need a tester that palys skyrim and keeps an eye out for strange happenings, like bugged cloud textures, or such things like sunset/sunrise cloud textures that are vivisble at the wrong time of day, as well as such stuff like underlit or overlit interiors and so on The enb wont be heavier than vividian.

Greetings, as some already know i worked on the past few month on a new Weathermod. So far it is called Vivid Weathers. If basicly bases on COT+ESs+SS+Vivid Clouds and fogs+Extended Weathers+Real skyrim snowflakes+Vanilla weathers. Although there is nothing left anymore of COT,ESS,SS and vanilla weathers beside the Names and ID's. Its a complete overaul to the imagespaces and skyrim weathers in order to cover also people who do not run a ENB but want to experience some really nice and dark weathers that do not look like some desaturated green tinted glowing sky crap. I could write hours of what else i added to it but this shall not be the forum entry to promote the mod. More i look for people that i can trust doing their work to do some betatesting. Either with or Without ENB, so if you cannot afford running a ENB performancewise its no problem. Ofcourse i include a custom made ENB also. Your task will be to play skyrim and report back any strange stuff thats happening. clouds that look odd, snowflakes that glow.... whatever that does not look right. If you feel like doing so send ME a IM. attached below some WIP shots.

yes, keeping the file and memory usage small. Mipmaps on clouds will only be used if people running a very low setting of quality in skyrim. Although for people having such a low quality setting that mipmaps for clouds are really needed, they usualy do a ddsopt on all their textures anyway wich will generate mipmaps. iTexMipMapSkip=0 also will not use any mipmaps on clouds.

Noone will take away Myyyy Tea and Cookies! So, for a small explaination. There is a script that emitts several hundret emitters around the player (nif file). This nif file contains a physical body with all important gravity and fraction values that reacts with the world and contains a particle system emitter (with falling snowflakes thats bound to a small area) thats connected to the physical body and get dragged along with it. As the emitter falls the particle system will fall too. Then the script deletes each emitter after a certain time. Due to the nature of particle systems, they lag a little bit behind the emitter (cus they are unbound from the emitter as soon they got spawned), so at the end, if one wants to change the speed of the snowfall he must change it in the nif file itself and in the mcm menu to reduce the lifetime. Thats the limitation at the moment and i think there wont be any change of that behaviour cus i doubt it will be wise to let a script attach hundrets or thousands of translation and collision instances to objects - not for the CPU nor the savegame ;) Kesta recodes the script for this cus we got inspired by the dynamic rain mod there. The things that can get changed at the moment are mostly emitter script releated. (area of emitting, ammount, randomness, lifetime)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Wwn-79MlWM Testing a very early state of the new unreleased Physical snow feature thats in development. Snow will react to objects in skyrim and won't go trhough rooftops anymore so you can Shelter yourself. It also somewhat reacts to dragonshouts, even though not immediant.

@kittifizz that usualy sounds more like there is something wrong with your mod list or mods in general. have a look at this: https://forum.step-project.com/topic/8412-general-problems-with-enbs-and-solutions-troubleshooting/ also a load order list would be great so we can see if there are conflicts.

Real Skyrim Snowflakes - Vivid Snow [video=youtube]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8IUMKDV8eCk [video=youtube] What is this mod? Real Skyrim Snowflakes differs from almost any other snowflake mod out there. It removes the fake Skyrim snow particle system from the weathers and adds in-world snow particle systems. That way, snow gets lit by light sources and effect lighting! It dramatically increases the feeling of snowy days & nights that way! It also includes a fix for the Day 1 vanilla bug that visual effects disappear as soon the map was used! (thanks to mattiewagg for the script!) This Mod is part of the VIVIDIAN ENB Suite and available here as a standalone mod for better compatibility. So far it does NOT add new Weathers but modifies Existing ones in your load order IMPORTANT INFORMATION 1. This mod is not made for people who count every FPS or have a weak rig! It will render several thousands of snow particles in front of you, so expect a FPS loss. 2. For Proper function you MUST change the iMaxDesired value in your skyrimprefs.ini [particles] section to at least 6000 (I personally recommend even 10000 but that depends on your Rig (GTX 670 here)) 3. You need SKSE for the map weather fix to function properly! 4. This mod will start to make real sense when using a ENB, since the vanilla nights & particles in Skyrim are simply too bright for the lighting effect to be seen well. Weather mods like PW / Purity help there. 5. ENB Particle settings now apply to the snow, so you must rely that the ENB author does sensible things to particles at night Compatibility Real Skyrim Snowflakes is compatible with Vanilla, Natural Lighting and Atmospherics, Pure Weather, Purity, RCRN, Climates of Tamriel, Expanded Snow Systems , Supreme Storms, Weather Ambience Overaul. Since True Storms does not include snow weathers, its naturally compatible ;) Installation 0. Install Tes5Edit if you havent done so already. Here is a Video showing you how todo so: Click me 1. Follow the installer Instruction or copy the content of the data folder into your skyrim/data folder. 1.5 When using Mod Organizer - right click in the Realistic Skyrim Snowflakes - Vivid snow mod entry in your list and click on "open in explorer" 1.6 NMM users need to have a look into their Skyrim/Data Folder 2. Copy the content of the Edit Scripts Folder to your Tes5Edit/Edit Scripts/ folder. (replace mteFunctions.pas) 3. Put Vividsnow.esp at the end of your load order 4. Run Tes5edit and leave all checkmarks enabled so it loads up your whole modlist. - that will take a while. 5. Right click the VividSnow.esp and press Apply Script 6. Select in the upper part the "Real snowflakes Patcher" and press Ok. - It might ask you to add Masters to Vividsnow.esp, confirm that. The script will now scan your modlist and add all Weathers that will be changed by Vividsnows to the Vividsnow.esp. When done, close Tes5edit and accept the request that it want to save the Vividsnow.esp The installation is now complete. Please Notice that you need to redo this procedure from scratch as soon you remove or add Weather mods. ENB COMPATIBILITY: The recommended settings for particles can be IntensityNight=0.4 up to 0.7 LightingInfluenceNight=1.0 It greatly depends on your weather mod and the particle brightness of it. What to Expect from your weather Mod Because Vivid Snow does not add weathers you will experience Snow weathers just as intended by your Weather mod here is a small list what kind of Snow Weathers are inside the diverse weather mods: Vanilla, Purity, Pure Weather, NLA Two snow weathers: Medium Snow, Strong Snow Climates of Tamriel Nine snow weathers: Lite Snow (1), Medium Snow (1), Strong Snow(5), Blizzard Medium (1), Blizzard Strong (1) Expanded Snow Systems - Vanilla Eleven snow weathers: Medium Snow (1), Strong Snow (1), Blizzard Lite (3), Blizzard Medium (3), Blizzard Strong (3) Expanded Snow Systems - COT Nine snow weathers: Blizzard Lite (3), Blizzard Medium (3), Blizzard Strong (3) Supreme Storms & COT One weather change - Strong Snow Bugs -There can be leftovers of old particle effects stuck in the savegame - blurry particles in front of your cam. In that case, open the console , type in FW 81a and save. Then restart Skyrim and load the saved game. -If no particles are showing up during a weather (like loading into a snowy weather), skyrim failed to initialize the particle system because the savegame didn’t have one. To fix this, force a snow weather with the FW 4d7fb command and save. -Almost invisible or too dark particles may often be the result of wrong ENB settings. -ENB Mist Bug: ENB has two bugs with particles. They Vanish when the MIST effect is too strong and they interact badly with the volumetric Fogs on the mountains. There is nothing i can do about that, only your ENB mod Author. Recommendations: Expanded Snow Systems this will add Blizzard and other types of Snowy weathers to skyrim. (also available for Vanilla) Weather and Ambience overaul this will overaul your Weather and Skyrim Experience at once Wet and Cold - adds snow effects to NPC's, blinding vision effects in blizzards and much much more Credits Thanks to Hishutup for the Tes5Edit Installation script Thanks to mattiewagg for the Weather map fix script Thanks to Kesta and Grimy for adding ideas into the Map weather script

ENB Subpixel AA impossible to activate
Mangaclub replied to Sunabouzu's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports (retired)
Hi there, Subpixel Antialiasing can just be activated in the enblocal.ini file but... it wont do some really noticeable improvement. I would go for SMAA Antialiasing then (extra option in the vividian installer) to get some nice smooth Anti Aliasing.
