  1. This mod is incompatible with SMIM at the moment. They are working on compatibility with it though.
  2. Vond, I just got it working on my game too. My plants are shiny now as well. I have an ATI 5750. Not sure about the AA for me though. Also, apparently that new parameter doesn't shut off all the old stuff. So you have to set it to true and everything else to false. I only did the true part, and I had some crazy saturation and other stuff. Lesson learned :) EDIT: after putting all else to false, I get a 10 fps hit, so only less stellar machines, the shadows do hurt performance.
  3. So Skyrim is launched with the ENBINjector.exe? How would that work with skse, since you need to load skyrim with the skse_loader.exe...
  4. I downloaded 111, but I the readme doesn't make it clear what to install. It has two folders, InjectorVersion and WrapperVersion. The readme DOES say there is a new parameter UseOriginalObjectsProcessing=true so that I only need to use parallax (and maybe the shadows??). Any ideas how to install? EDIT: tried the Wrapperversion and RCRN pause (the on/off button) doesn't work.
  5. I installed TC's addon and things are much better now (I get about 29 fps now). 29 is about what I'd get with vanilla Skyrim (+the dlc) so it seems fine. It might be safer to go down to Medium settings since fights and cities will drop my fps quite a bit I'm sure. At least the RCRN stuff was fixed. Thank you TheCompiler for the addon, it makes a HUGE difference :D EDIT: went down to Medium settings, I'm getting 40 fps now, which is good. And with the STEP stuff, it still looks nice :D EDIT2: And I just realized AO is an Nvidia thing (AMD here) which is why I haven't found a setting for it anywhere xD
  6. I only have the low-res versions of textures installed up until the RCRN step currently, so I can't see a conflict being the issue (but I'm learning not to assume things with skyrim xD). my system is: AMD Phenom 955 AMD 5750 1gb 8gb RAM Windows 7 x64 EDIT: I haven't installed TC's RCRN addon yet, so maybe that's why it hurts my fps so much?
  7. Someone uploaded an enb series 110 that only affects the shadows (no other effects). https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=16951a
  8. well, my skyrim hates me and breaks for all kind of obscure reasons. It could be something else occurred after I installed RCRN. I've had it break because I installed a few mods in different orders before (not load order, install order) which makes no sense...
  9. WOW! AO is necessary judging by that link :D Also, RCRN killed my fps. I had 5fps. Turned off V-sync and got 16. Guess I'm back to using Realistic Lighting with Customization.... bummer too because v3 looked cool. (too bad I wasn't using the hi-res versions of textures. Then I'd have an easy way to get more by just downgrading)
  10. I have a question: how might i lower the contrast and saturation of RCRN? I like the mod, but I'd like to try lowering those a bit. Also, what's this AO thing above?
  11. You mean it's being removed from the next Guide revision?
  12. oh, I guess I assumed rcrn used enb because the lighting alternatives listed used enb much of the time
  13. I know nothing about ENB other than RCRN 2.1 uses it. how do you configure it so that all effects are turned off except the new shadow stuff?
  14. What I did was tell Wyre Bash to use my mods folder as it's Wyre Smash Installers folder. In the Mopy folder, I copied the bash default ini and renamed it simply bash.ini. Then I changed the lines that point to it's directories. That way, I don't have to move my mods into Wrye's Folder as it becomes the correct folder.
  15. If it enhances the shadows, I guess there is no point on putting it on the low setting either then. You'd end up with a really low quality shadowing, even if it shadows by pixels then, I would think. Ah well... I'll just keep my high-setting shadows and be happy
  16. Vond: one thing I was worried about with Natural Rain is that it might hurt my fps (same with More Rain as well). However, if I use the Reduced view distance of More Rain, would that mean I wouldn't lose much fps? This is all theoretical since I haven't actually played to see either mods' rain so I don't know if they'd hurt my performance or not, it just seems like it would.... If so, that might be a very cool combination for me. :)
  17. I can testify that RLwC has the Z-fighting issue for me. When I have it active I can see the mountains flicker. When I turn it off, that problem goes away.
  18. This is an interesting mod. I was disappointed when my argonian went for a swim in my vanilla game. This seems like a great first step to making rivers, lakes, and the like to be worth exploring! Blitz54: thanks for making it.
  19. Could it be possible to turn off game shadows and using only the enb 110 shadows? You'd lose distant shadows, but you might still get nice shadows from enb.
  20. Blacksol: I don't about Skyrim Unplugged, but why not have steam backup your game? then, if you need to reinstall you can uninstall skyrim, delete it's folder in steam and then have steam use the backup to re-install it rather than downloading? Then again, if you have really good internet speeds (lucky you) it might be faster to just download the game again... If I misunderstood what you meant, I'm sorry :(
  21. huh... That's not something I wanted to hear. :( savegame bloat isn't really worth fantastic rain sadly. Just curious but why would rain have a script anyway?
  22. I have heard great things about this mod. It's part of Realistic Lighting with Customization, but you could install it without the rest of the mod I would think. (see this video, starting at the 2:00 minute mark )Perhaps you could consider using this? I recently saw a video for RCRN v3, so I'll be using that when it's released, but I think the rain from this mod might be worth using.
  23. wow. I read that wrong :P I saw '128" instead of "1280." In that case, I'll definitely use the 1024 version since your card is even better than mine :D
  24. Thanks for the help Vond and Compiler! I'll go with the 1024 version since I have 1gb on my GPU. Better than Vond, but still below his recommendation. :)
  25. That's good to know. I actually like SRO better as well, and was hoping I could use just that one. It's HUGE so I'm considering getting the 1024k version instead. But since mod changes so much mod, maybe I should be patient and grab the regular higher-res version....
