  1. Wow, that mod is fantastic! I'll definitely have it on my list once it comes out again.
  2. Slightly off-topic, but I haven't gotten a companion yet (I've only tested things in skyrim so far, have yet to play the game :P). Are the ones in game like Vilja in Oblivion or Jasmine in Morrowind; deep backgrounds and interaction with the player?
  3. Farlo, I had an issue with the line breaks in Oblivion's Bash recently. Here's the post mentioning that (my post + the following 3 posts). Apparently the editor that made the file didn't retain the line break. Their solution was to use a different editor to fix/make the file again.
  4. I prefer this dlc house for sure, since I can make it as simple as I want, but the mod houses can have very unique looks so there is probably a place for them still even with this DLC. Personally for me though, I won't be needing any house mods after this is released.
  5. The customizable house is cool, but $20 for that when it already exists as a mod is a bit difficult to justify.
  6. This new version requires Dawnguard or does it just add things for it if detected? Also, bandit patrols sound cool :D
  7. No problem here. I'm not getting Dawnguard unless I have to since I don't see anything in it that I really want. So what makes an enb compatible with CoT? Is it just the way the enb interacts with the new lighting?
  8. I'm on the side that doesn't use a body mod. In Oblivion (and definitely Morrowind), body mods fixed up vanilla bodies a lot. In Skyrim the Vanilla bodies look great to me already. So in my eyes, the popularity of Skyrim body mods is strange. CBBE looks like it's goal is to make a melon-breasted Skyrim which makes it stand out if you're looking for that. Long story short, could someone explain what is so amazing about these 2 mods that makes them so popular. They aren't fixing something broken as skyrim bodies look good already (to me)...
  9. So apparently there is a darker nights version as well, so you can have dark nights like many people here prefer. As for Project ENB, I feel like this one fits my preference better, but I'd need that ENB comparison thing to add RealLike so I could see. There were places where Project looked great, and places that didn't appeal to me. But since I want CoT, I guess that limits my choices. :P
  10. Hmm. I've been looking for an ENB that's not overstated. This looks nice. I'd have to tweak down the saturation a bit, but I may try using this one. I did find it interesting that outdoor nights are brighter than vanilla, though interiors (caves/dungeons) are much darker than vanilla. Most I look at have bright both or dark both. I guess it makes sense since Nirn has 2 moons, so it would be brighter nights than those on Earth...
  11. I think many of the screens of akimbo are far to saturated for my taste (though many others are really good looking). I thought the Wilds looked nice, but after looking at the player submitted screens, it is also far too saturated for me...
  12. Are 7970s a dual graphics card or is that what the 7990 is supposed to be?
  13. I have played Final Fantasy XI (only Final Fantasy game I've personally played). WoW's pace is much too fast for me after playing FFXI. My favorite MMO is (well, was) Perfect World, the first MMO I've played. That was several years ago though, and it has since (sadly) gone downhill. My favorite game series is Harvest Moon! I'm a Plant Science major, so agriculture is fun for me! :P I still mod Morrowind, though my current mod is quite large and it's taking me forever.
  14. Sad that the update just includes the Riften fix and removes that buggy rain mod. That Reighly thing was difficult to follow but I did see that it makes sunrise/sunsets different every time. That's cool. Sadly, I doubt 4.0 will be out any time soon...
  15. That's certainly interesting. It must take him a long time to do all that. :o
  16. eird. On the post 2 above by izactheseeker, the first position ones make me think this mod adds a lot. However, on the 'few steps farther back' I much prefer the vanilla stuff....
  17. I've been bothered by the fact that this mod's author hasn't been seen in more than a month, which might mean that there is no further updates for this mod. I wouldn't mind the long time between updates if he showed up once in a while and mentioned that he is still working on the mod or something... I use Duke Patrick's Combat mod with which this was the most compatible. I know of a few other food mods that stop stamina regen unless you eat, which makes it incompatible with DP's mod since it is heavily dependent on stamina. IMCN decreased the max stamina based on hunger, so it worked with the combat mod well enough. Anyway, does anyone know of a good alternative to this mod?
  18. That torchbug idea is fantastic. I'm all for that :D
  19. I agree with Bealdwine and Holymartyr. This kind of convenience really needs to come with some danger. What use is a torch or the magic light spell (no idea what that spell is called...) if you can just strap a lantern on to your belt and be done with it. If it came with some kind of danger or con of some sort, that would be nice. Still, all else aside, it is a very clever idea.
  20. Thanks TheInstaller! I use Afterburner anyway, so that is easily the best option for my 5750 card.
  21. So... this makes STEP really easy to install? Just download the mods, run this, wait a few hours, let it install and it's all done and set up? Does this use Bash's installer function so it can keep track of what files belong to what archive?
  22. The screenshots look awesome. Having random birds around seems makes the place feel more real. Some of the textures could be worked on a bit, but that's not a huge issue. Combine this with pets of skyrim and animals will be everywhere. If only we could get the cats from that mod to chase after the birds :P
  23. Now that the wiki login issues were resolved I can actually contribute! I'll take a look at the spreadsheet later today.
  24. This enb config seems nice. It doesn't change too much from the screenshots. It doesn't have DoF or SSAO so performance shouldn't be hurt too much either. I think I'll try this one (since it doesn't change much, that means RCRN or RLwC is needed for darker nights and such).
  25. I'd imagine that, with a full STEP install, HD-2k would cover the cities (with SRO still keeping it's landscape files). So you'd want the 2k version. I am not totally sure though, because I only installed SRO (too much bandwidth to get them both)...
