Steam converts Skyrim game content

Steam just told me that it needs to convert Skyrim game content to a more efficient format which would require a couple of minutes and a internet connection. It did so after I wanted to verify the integrity of my game cache. Anybody any clues whether this might produce any problems?

This happened to me too. The only thing I noticed was that update.esm had been replaced and I had to clean it again with tes5edit. Not sure if anything else was touched but everything seems to work.
