Neovalen Posted August 26, 2016 Author Posted August 26, 2016 It's not my case, I did the proper mods.settings, but i have much more conflicts to resolve by myself, hmm will double check that.Good luck, hope you find your problem. :) If all else fails, post some screens of what you are seeing and I will try to help when I can. 1
Monobloc Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 Just a simple question, when you merge the script, your goes all the way through except the 3 conflicts you pointed right ? For me it asks like 10 times to resolve conflitcs and opens the gui.

There must be an install error somewhere in your load order... make sure the game/mod versions match mine. 1
Monobloc Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 Alright thanks for your help neo, can't wait to start the game with your guide
Monobloc Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 (edited) Fixed issues by reinstalling the game, welp xD Edited August 26, 2016 by Monobloc
bevgar Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 Hello all and thank you Neovalen for your guide. I was able to mod my game without any issues. However, has anyone tried using nVidia Ansel yet with Neovalen's setup? I'm thinking it might be a keybinding issue. Ansel hotkey in game is Alt+F2. I searched for each of the below entries in my docs\witcher3\input.settings IK_F2=(Action=QuestMarkersToggle) Changed to the following IK_F5=(Action=QuestMarkersToggle) Alt+F2 is not toggling the quest markers anymore however I'm still unable to get the Ansel interface to come up. Running a GTX1080, latest drivers: ver# 372.54. Even tried reinstalling the drivers. Appreciate any assistance on this.Figured it out. Didn't even have the Ansel folder under Program files\Nvidia Corp.... Might have been from my custom install of the drivers(drivers and physx only) Ended manually downloading the drivers and performing an express install. Ansel folder showed up and now working in-game.
PCG4m3r Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 (edited) The Ansel tools are a great feature. I've been taking lots of good shots at various Super Resolutions, 360 degrees, etc. I wanted to post to first give a big THANK YOU to Neo for another great guide. I was a fan of your Skyrim Revisited guide for a long time. I still never finished half of Skyrim because I had so much fun modding and learned a lot from you during that time. I waited until B&W came out so I could finally enjoy TW3 completely and lo and behold I find another excellent Neo guide! Thank you for your efforts and always giving quality/detailed guides for these amazing games! Now that I've been playing the game for while after a complete W3R setup, I wanted to mention a few other mods I've installed on top of it and have had no issues. The game has been running perfect and looks beautiful too! I highly recommend the Wild Hunt Adaptive ReShade...it gives a nice contrast and everything looks more natural, to me at least, not to mention it uses the Different ReShade settings based on game location thanks to another great mod that is also in my list below. Mods that go well with W3R: Wild Hunt Adaptive ReShadeI'm using the main file for Vanilla LightingI also installed the optional MXAO Indirect Lighting-Ambient Occlusion Add On, just for a little bit of extra realismLooks like the author removed it, but might add it backDifferent SFX or ReShade Presets For Each LocationYou'll need to install this if you use one of Wild Hunt Adaptive ReShade's main filesIt works great, but you just have to remember to run the executable first, then start TW3 (not a big deal if you add shortcuts for it and the game to your Taskbar or Desktop)Supreme to Extreme Graphics OptionsMade by the same author of Wild Hunt Adaptive ReShadeIt adds more flexibility / higher settings beyond Ultra in the game's Graphics menuMakes it easier to adjust in game and see if it impacts performance or notI'm using this along with Neo's INI setting tweaks and have no performance issuesI install the optional Grass420 version since I'm using KNGR's Ultra Grass ModUltra Grass 420I think this looks great in game and gives a sense of more realism, since there are no lawn mowers in this worldI have not noticed any performance impact with this installed - game runs smoothly for meCustom Localization FixYou will need to install this if you install the Supreme to Extreme mod aboveI was not able to see the extra Supreme, Ultimate, Extreme graphics settings in the menu without this installedUsed Script Merger to merge all with no problems, but there were 2 conflicts, resolved as follows: \content\scripts\gamegui\main_menu\ingamemenu\igmOptions.ws1st conflict: Select Line(s) from B and C2nd conflict: Select Line(s) from BNOTE: I still did not merge alchemyMenu.ws per Neo's guide More Realistic Wind EffectAppears to calm the sometimes overly drastic wind effects and looks good More ShadowsI like as much realism as possible in these types of games and the extra shadows from this look goodI'm using the "More Shadows" main file (not the alternate "No Guards" version)I haven't yet noticed anything distracting and looks great in game Here are my system specs for reference: ASUS Rampage V Extreme MotherboardIntel Core i7-5960X (8 core) running @3.00 GHz (stock speed)Corsair H100i CPU CoolerCorair AX1500i Power Supply32GB Corsair Dominator DDR4ASUS STRIX GTX 980 Ti (6 GB DirectCU III)SoundBlaster X-Fi Titanium HDSoundBlasterX Pro-Gaming G5 (external Sound Card with Headphone Amp)Beyerdynamic DT-770 Pro 80 ohm headphonesWindows 10 Pro 64-bit Regarding the Wild Hunt Adaptive ReShade, there are about 4 keys bound so that you can disable/enable to see the before/after results. You can modify those keys to your liking by looking in the various .CFG files inside the "LocationPresets" folder in \The Witcher 3\bin\x64, then look for lines with "VK_" (i.e. VK_F7 would be the F7 key), but it will only work for the settings that are turned on in the ReShade effects (i.e. where the effect has a 1 meaning it's on, while 0 means the effect is off). I have remapped mine as follows: F6 = Toggle ReShade (only turns off colors/smaa/fxaa/lumashrpen)F7 = Toggle MXAO / Indirect Lighting (only if you installed)F8 = Toggle HDRF12 = Toggle Gaussian Blur If anyone is interested, I can also post my input.settings and user.settings. One extra note: I also tried the Darker Nights mod and wanted to really like it, for more realism, but I didn't like how sometimes it would stop working temporarily after reloading a save, but then would magically appear darker again later. I think it's the mod itself and not the fact that it hasn't been updated for the latest patch, because I remember it doing this before when it was synchronized with an earlier patch of the game. Neovalen Posted August 27, 2016 Author Posted August 27, 2016 Mod Changes 8/26/2016: Added:More Shadows Modified:None Deleted:None
haelfix Posted August 30, 2016 Posted August 30, 2016 So i'm pretty bummed. For some reason Steam wasn't in offline mode and updated Witcher 3, thus breaking the WHR setup and likely my savegames that was already about halfway through. I'm going to wait a few days for mods to update to the new patch, but its unclear if the save is recoverable or not :( Whats the procedure for reinitializing mods? DL new mod, recheck inis and then redo the script merge? Its a pretty massive update though, so maybe some of the texture merging will have to be redone as well?
Neovalen Posted August 30, 2016 Author Posted August 30, 2016 Tell you what I know... didn't know there was a patch until you just posted. :) Usually it's just the waiting game for script mod authors... textures normally not a problem. Clear merges, update mods, remerge.
GiuseppeIII3 Posted September 3, 2016 Posted September 3, 2016 (edited) Thanks for the amazing guide, however I have a few questions. 1. ALL is currently hidden by its author. I was wondering if you could send me a copy of the file? 2. Is there a reason not to use the Increased LOD - DLC beta version of the mod? 3. The recommended version of the mod Geralt HairWorks Colors and Beard Styles is version 1.1 (White Beard - Less White) however the version of white beard - less white that is available is 1.0. Should I just use the 1.0 version? Edited September 3, 2016 by GiuseppeIII3
GiuseppeIII3 Posted September 3, 2016 Posted September 3, 2016 (edited) It seems I can't edit a post twice for whatever reason to add with my questions above4. BLOOD has been updated to a version 2 on 9/2/2016. Is there a reason not to use this new version? 5. More Blood by KNG is currently unavailable, however it appears that BLOOD v2 might do the same thing now? 6. Skellige Ice Breath has been update to 2.0.3 and is now compatible with patch 1.30 7. WEATHER has been updated to version 4 Edited September 3, 2016 by GiuseppeIII3
GiuseppeIII3 Posted September 3, 2016 Posted September 3, 2016 Just realized this was because the game just got updated to a new versions - pls ignore everything above. Sorry for the inconvenience. Thank again for the great guide
paul666root Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 Neovalen is on break so that's why the guide is not being updated.
