Plugin priority help?

I am not talking about load order but plugin priority in MO. I have two first i instaled SKSE the STEP Way and i have a mod for the scripts where should it be? i know probably somewhere on top... i have all the DLC BTW (High res included) And second what order should the DLC be in (Again NOT In load order but in plugin order) I have them all including high res...

The order in the STEP guide from top to bottom is the order of the left side of MO. The right side for plugins is taken care of by LOOT.

 

You can drag and drop mods into the proper order on the left pane to match the STEP guide.

Okay, plugin order and load order are the same thing. Plugins are ESPs and ESMs that are listed in the right side.

 

Installation order is the actual mods that you install and they are on the left side in MO.

 

Plugin order should always start with Skyrim.esm and Update.esm then the Unofficial Skryim Patch.esp, Dawnguard.esm, Unofficial Dawnguard Patch.esp, Hearthfire.esm... and so on. After than all your mod ESMs and ESPs should be listed.

 

There is no reason to sort them manually though. Use LOOT and it will do it automatically.

EssArrBee's answer is the proper answer. The installation order (aka priority order) is provided by the STEP guide. Install the mods in the order shown in the STEP guide. Load order and plugin order are different ways of saying the same thing; this is the order in the right hand pane of MO. Plugins don't have a priority (they have a load order), mods have a priority (installation order).

Check out the mo wiki in my signature, especially the priorities section. There is even a video you can watch linked there.

 

Basically what you need to do is arrange your mods in the same order they are shown in the Step guide. Your mods are shown in the left hand side of MO, and they can be dragged and dropped into the correct order to solve conflicts.
