Naming player characters with special characters

Does anyone know how to assign a character name that contains special characters like apostrophes?

 

Since any Khajiit you play should be named with a prefix followed by an apostrophe, at the very least, how can you name them that way?

When ever I try to enter any special character in the name field upon creation, I can only enter the 26 characters of the alphabet.

So I must be the only one that can't use apostrophes in the name field when creating a character?

Isn't it just a simple string in the game. Maybe edit the save outside of the Skyrim like in wryebash, I know you can do it for Oblivion.

Well I would've thought it was a simple text string but I can't even paste one in so I'm not really sure. I'll do a bit more searching when I redo my Khajiit character.

  My Khajiit is named Zan'adirr with the apostrophe.  I had no issues typing it in the name field on my end.  I'm using STEP Core Extended, not sure if that would make any difference though.

Thanks, it is most likely my laptop not allowing me to use that key then, the same way I can't access the console with the ~ key on some of my games. (though Skyrim allows me to use it with no issue.)
