GrantSP Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Does anyone know how to assign a character name that contains special characters like apostrophes? Since any Khajiit you play should be named with a prefix followed by an apostrophe, at the very least, how can you name them that way? When ever I try to enter any special character in the name field upon creation, I can only enter the 26 characters of the alphabet.
0 GrantSP Posted January 6, 2015 Author Posted January 6, 2015 So I must be the only one that can't use apostrophes in the name field when creating a character?
0 hishutup Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 Isn't it just a simple string in the game. Maybe edit the save outside of the Skyrim like in wryebash, I know you can do it for Oblivion.
0 GrantSP Posted January 6, 2015 Author Posted January 6, 2015 Well I would've thought it was a simple text string but I can't even paste one in so I'm not really sure. I'll do a bit more searching when I redo my Khajiit character.
0 holliday50 Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 My Khajiit is named Zan'adirr with the apostrophe. I had no issues typing it in the name field on my end. I'm using STEP Core Extended, not sure if that would make any difference though.
0 GrantSP Posted January 12, 2015 Author Posted January 12, 2015 Thanks, it is most likely my laptop not allowing me to use that key then, the same way I can't access the console with the ~ key on some of my games. (though Skyrim allows me to use it with no issue.)
