Gyro Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 Which do you prefer, and why?  I'd ask about male models, too, but there seems to be just one game in town for them.  I've been using CBBE myself as it seems like UNP tends to go more towards glamorous, but I wanted to hear about what other folks use.
frihyland Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 No pictures or links please, this is NSFW territory.
Besidilo Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 I don't care about these mods, but the CBBE seems more realistic.
Neovalen Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 I love the UNP body shape and it looks even better with the UNP Fitness Body normal map. I wouldn't consider it any more glamorous as you say but more realistic. CBBE(Calientes Female Body Mod Big Bottom Edition) by it's very name is about larger hips/butt area than real life. I always think barbie when I see CBBE. UNP Base(non-slim) is attempting to replicate reality albeit with not enough breast variation(too small) and UNP Slim is the "glamorous" option which I do not use. My personal choice for both the more realistic butt/leg/ankle and higher variation in breast size is UNP Blessed(UNPB). Which is the same meshes as UNP but the chest has higher range (approx. 0 = UNP at 0, 100 = UNP 200) Armor support is starting to come along nicely but still no 100% vanilla replacer. Good thing it's 100% compatible with UNP Base as far as armor goes (just with smaller breast). There are a few skin texture modders out there and they work for both CBBE and UNP (UNPB uses same textures as UNP) so besides actual body shape/armor, all things are equal.
skwareballz Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 First off there are no fat people on Nirn, so throw realism out the window. I think UNP with Fitness Body would probably line up with someone that does as much running around as my dovah does. CBBE seems like the stomach area is to skinny for hips, that's the curvy version though I haven't checked out the Slim look. Regardless of the body replacer you use though, All in One Face is a must. I think that the glamour look comes a lot more from the face replacer like Coverwomen.
Neovalen Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 Definetly agreed, and I also recommend using his recommended eye replacement: The Eyes of Beauty by LogRaam.. it really brings out his work alot.
Spiffyman Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 I'm on the side that doesn't use a body mod. In Oblivion (and definitely Morrowind), body mods fixed up vanilla bodies a lot. In Skyrim the Vanilla bodies look great to me already. So in my eyes, the popularity of Skyrim body mods is strange. CBBE looks like it's goal is to make a melon-breasted Skyrim which makes it stand out if you're looking for that. Long story short, could someone explain what is so amazing about these 2 mods that makes them so popular. They aren't fixing something broken as skyrim bodies look good already (to me)...
Besidilo Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 I was being sarcastic, by the way. But you made me realise there really are no fat people in Skyrim. Discrimination!

Maybe as Skyproc moves along we'll be able to have NPCs of all shapes and sizes cavorting about the landscape. Â I mean, given the popularity of sweet rolls it's hard to imagine everyone staying skinny ;)

For now though, it comes down to personal preference. One mans dream is another mans reality, another mans trash is someone's treasure, and so forth.
