Question

Posted (edited)

Latest Google Chrome
Windows 8.1
MO v1.2.11
Followed all steps from S.T.E.P. WIKI: https://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Mod_Organizer#tab=Downloading_Mods

When clicking download with manager from nexusmods.com it gives me this error in MO log.

It is the right password I logged on multiple times on nexus to check.

Help would be appreciated, Thanks.
Changing the MO version to 0.52.2 worked.

Someone just posted a fix right before me!

Quoting GSDfan:
"This fixed it for me. Go into settings,  workarounds and change the NMM version to 0.52.2 and see if that helps. Restart MO after."
It worked for me as well.

Hey I bought a new PC and setup a fresh system...

I wanted to use MO but I cant download anything from Nexus...

But i get this error message (I translate it into English):

"Firefox doesnt know, how to open the address, because one of the following (nxm) is no registered protocol and in this contex not allowed.

Maybe you have to install different software, in order to be able to open this address"

I have MO open, and the password to my account and clicked a million times associate with download manager.. still nothing .. please help

Edit: I used Firefox... but Internet Explorer didnt work either... With Win 7 + all updates

orginal:

Open Firefox, and inside Options, go to the Applications tab. Search for nxm and point it toward the nxmhandler application located inside the ModOrganizer directory if the option exists.

problem was I had to klickk in the nxmhandler

"click the Register Active button, click yes at the prompt, and close."

Thank you guys very much for the help ! I appreciate it.

Is the 202 error still a problem? because im still having it occur and its really frustrating to try and rebuild a load order and have more than half of my mods fail. Is the only work around to download manually?

This isn't actually a wide issue, though for those that have it, that is of little consolation.

Have you tried all the methods mentioned to resolve this? Changing the NMM version number, picking a different server?

If so then yes, manual download is the only solution.

My own theory is it is a rare mixture of chosen server with unusual mod name and NMM version number combination that only affects a small number of users. Totally untested, but in the lack of other answers what is there to go with.

Yes iv tried all the fixes. I think it's a server speed issue. As where I am right now has incredibly slow internet speed, and next to the server (the free one, I'm not premium) it has the speed, and it at like 38 whatever the units are per second, which is far less than when I was on nmm.

I don't know if it's coincidence that the connection to the servers has gotten so bad just as I switched to mo or not, but it seems to break whenever it's downloading a huge mod and it's like on a limited memory and after a while it just stops all mods and I can't download any of them any more.

The mods that do this a big one like interesting NPCs or immersive armors if I download small mods one at a time it doesn't seem to happen.

The selection of the server Nexus uses to download the mod to you is mod manager agnostic. ie. it makes no difference which you use as it is assigned on the browser side of things.

You open the mod page, choose the file to download, Nexus does some backroom server assignment and then the browser launches the associated link and the program downloads it.

But, you may have a selected server in MO overriding the server choice setup in your ModOrganizer.ini.

In the MO Settings dialog under the Nexus tab do you have any servers listed in the right-hand listbox, 'Preferred Servers (Drag & Drop)'?
