There are not many mods that cause any kind of problem with Requiem in Extended but a few will need to be removed these are listed on the Requiem Extended thread I believe, oh and at the top of this page. There is patch for Requiem and Extended knocking about, it is still being tested. I will test it this week and check with the author about linking to it. We are considering a more indepth pack dealing with all the various addons and a patch for those things that need it. Will let you know more when I do. Anyway hope this helps. :)It does help and gives me an idea at least of what to look at and try and figure out even if I ultimately decide not to mess with things.
gollemodder Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 Hey quick question on my bash patch.I'm running CCO remade, Frostfall, Immersive Patrols merged, Immersive Armors and weapons along with OBIS on my Requiem game with all patches. So requiem uses no leveled items or mobs right? Why should or rather, should I use leveled lists in my bashed patch? I have been so far and wonder if it could be adversely effecting spawns of items and equipment. It looks as though upon entering dungeons that most of the OBIS spawns have been whacked unless the other spawns are same faction. Working as intended? One more thing, I'm using Requiem USKP, should it go in the order that Hardtimes normally would as a rule? Load order# This file was automatically generated by Mod Organizer. Smile44 Posted February 21, 2014 Author Posted February 21, 2014 Yes and Yes I should say. Especially as you are adding more equipment to the game. :)
Kudara Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 Yes and Yes I should say. Especially as you are adding more equipment to the game. :)Hmm I didn't think about the leveled lists question with a bashed patch, so just to clarify we shouldn't be doing leveled lists when we do the bashed patch?
Smile44 Posted February 21, 2014 Author Posted February 21, 2014 Yes you should, Just tick levelled lists and merge mods but nothing else and you should be good to go. :)
gollemodder Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 Thanks Bro. I have been enjoying this Requiem play through immensely all the time getting my butt kicked. I think the Dark Souls fans would even enjoy the pain if there was a way to punish for death via limited save. On the merge mods, I've been skipping that as it only lists a few to merge that don't really effect requiem. Am I missing something there?
Smile44 Posted February 21, 2014 Author Posted February 21, 2014 Nope, you don't have to use it. Just levelled lists is the main one. :)
Kudara Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 Regarding making patch files for NPC mods, when it comes to perks should I just include the requiem perks for a given npc or merge the vanilla and requiem ones? I'm asking because my patch file I created is causing the game to crash out at startup and I wondered if it perhaps had something to do with perks.
phazer11 Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 Just out of curiosity what is the blocksparkles.esp?blocksparkles.esp is from improved weapon impact effects.
Kudara Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 Just out of curiosity what is the blocksparkles.esp?blocksparkles.esp is from improved weapon impact effects.Ah thank you...and bleh because I was really hoping. I don't suppose anyone knows a mod or command to cut down on the spell glowing.
Spock Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 There are actually several mods changing spell glow. Just search the nexus (got no particular at hand atm) :)
macabre Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 (edited) So is Base Requiem compatible with STEP: Core 2.2.8 or not? From reading the last few pages it seems more than a few mods in STEP: Core are either already included in Requiem or incompatible.. would be nice if the wiki was updated with this information. The wiki only mentions Lockpicking Interface and Soul Gems Differ. Is there a definitive list of unnecessary/incompatible STEP: Core mods as of 2.2.8? Also, if I have STEP: Core 2.2.8 installed, do I need to download and install the Guard Dialogue Overhaul and Trade and Barter compatibility patches or no? Again, the STEP: Pack page for Base Requiem does not mention either of these compatibility patches. EDIT: I decided to go through the thread starting on page 9-10 (roughly corresponding to the last edit date of the Base Requiem wiki page in December '13) and make a list of mod redundancy or incompatibility between STEP: Core 2.2.8 and Base Requiem. So far this is what I've got. Smile or people familiar with Requiem feel free to correct me or add on. I really think some of this stuff should be included in the wiki page, which appears to be out of date. Redundant STEP: Core 2.2.8 mods (already included in Requiem, remove or disable them): Lockpicking InterfaceClams Drop PearlsWhen Vampires AttackNon Essential ChildrenMain Font ReplacementNo NPC GreetingsRun for your LivesSoul Gems Differ Probable STEP: 2.2.8 & Requiem mod conflicts & patches (link to patch if available; red title if not): Audio Overhaul for Skyrim (patch available)Guard Dialogue Overhaul (patch available)Weapons and Armor Fixes (patch available NOTE: this is also for the Clothing and Clutter Fixes mod, which you need to have installed. Credits to Spock for the info.)The Paarthurnax Dilemma (needs a patch made, or alternatively, a manual mod edit, see this post) NOTE: Even though Trade and Barter is installed with STEP: Core 2.2.8 and Requiem has a patch for it, since 2.2.8 instructs STEP users to just install Trade and Barter without actually activating it, no compatibility patch for Requiem is needed. Requiem 1.7.3 Patches (do not use if you did not install the 1.7.3 update and are using 1.7) Heavy Shield Fix for Requiem 1.7.3 (see this post, patch is available) Edited March 10, 2014 by macabre
Smile44 Posted March 9, 2014 Author Posted March 9, 2014 Yes it is compatible, but there are a number of mods that are not needed from STEP core. If you use MO (recommended) then it is easy to remove or disable those mods. Incidentally when vampires attack and run for your lives can be made compatible by disabling dragon fear and enabling random vampire attacks in the Requiem MCM. More and more patches are being made available for other mods as mentioned above. Requiem changes so many things in the game that to use other mods that affect similar things then patches are needed. But remember this pack is approved as is for STEP core. That said the GDO patch is now probably useful and should be refereed to in the guide. Trade and Barter is not activated in the STEP guide so no patch is needed, AOS and WAF have patches available so should also be mentioned in the guide. I will sort this as soon as I have time. Thanks for feedback.
macabre Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 (edited) <snip> Thanks for the response, Smile. Just installed STEP: Core successfully yesterday (or so I think..) and read up on Requiem. Looks like a lot of fun, especially since Skyrim gameplay always felt.. odd.. for an RPG.. simplistic combat and a bunch of unrealistic stuff that had no place in an RPG game. So looking forward to the challenge of Requiem. Hopefully with the info I've gathered above, and a look at the various load orders posted in the thread, I'll be able to get a working installation. Thank goodness for Mod Organizer or else none of this would be possible! Edited March 9, 2014 by macabre
Spock Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 (edited) Weapons and Armor Fixes (patch available NOTE: it's unclear if you also need clothing & armor fixes installed for this patch..)As far as I can tell you do need clothing and clutter fixes for that patch. But Clothing and Clutter Fixes is accepted for STEP 2.2.9 anyway (makeing diverse priests redundant) so you might just go ahead and install it.It would really help if someone could find the time to test explosive bolts. I would like to know if Explosive Bolts Visualized is an improvement over Requiem's solution. If the answer is yes I would also like to know which mod's object bounds should be used (I would provide esp patches if you are not compfortable with doing the changes).
