CJ2311 Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 @phazer11: I find it somewhat weird that you have both some glorious metal and some dumbstep in the same playlist :p
phazer11 Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 I like variety; it's a spice of life. I set to random and let it go. TBH I get people telling me they find it weird that I have Instrumental bands and people like Lindsey Stirling in the same playlist as metal and such.
EssArrBee Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 I'm the same way. I'll be jamming some Mars Volta and switch to Valentina Lisitsa right after. [video=youtube]
Spock Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 I will probably earn a lot of hate for this but I don't like distortion guitar. I'm into 90' and 2000' RnB because I really like to dance, especially with girls. It's the kind of music where you can show them what to expect if they come home with you ;) Some examples: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bzSAnwE5l7E https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xcIvIladNnQ
z929669 Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 You call it R&B, I call it hip/hop and rap (not a fan myself) ... R&B was The Spinners and Barry White (see my post p1) and EW&F. I also don't play nicely with C&W, but I generally like almost everything else (see my post)
phazer11 Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 She's good, I know a couple people who were close to that level but I haven't been to their recitals in a while. They're usually on nights I'm away or the night before a big exam >v<. Anyways, just realized I hadn't updated the playlist. I finally found the original music videos for several of the golden oldies (still not as good as my parents LP's, or more specifically my rips of them) Def Leppard, Journey, ZZ Top, Guns and Roses, Bon Jovi, AC/DC, Queen. Enjoy!

Nice additions to the playlist btw, especially the AC/DC
rootsrat Posted February 6, 2014 Author Posted February 6, 2014 I've recently discovered this band. I think they're from Russia, but not sure. I haven't got a clue what they are singing about (I can recognise single words...), but the vibe and the video are so positive and yet somehow sad in this nostalgic way of sadness that I can't help but to stick it on loop at least once a week! The name means Machete. [video=youtube]
rootsrat Posted February 13, 2014 Author Posted February 13, 2014 Daedelus. One of my musical heroers. This guy uses home made samplers, drum machines etc. And then he creates music like this: [video=youtube] He sometimes plays full blast on a rooftop of the internet radio DubLab that he's invloved in: (see those machines? He built them himself!) [video=youtube] Just listen to his music and to what he has to say. Simply - I love this guy!
Allsunday Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 Oh, good! Sharing music is my number one hobby. [video=youtube]
phazer11 Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 Nice. As for my playlist I updated it with a song an album I forgot I had and I have to say for this particular song I like the cover better than the original. [video=youtube]
Scafremon Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 I'm a Pearl Jam fan, and before I became Dovakiin, role playing a rockstar in Rock Band was my gaming release. This is a video my RB friends I made in my garage. [video=youtube]
Allsunday Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 I used to like Pearl Jam a lot when I started exploring music. Ten is a really good album tho :) I can't stop listening to this band I just discovered. Bot'Ox - Bearded Lady Motorcycle Show
phazer11 Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Updated! Added some of the pop artists I forgot, added some mashups, and I totally forgot to add one of my favorite groups and have rectified that... All that being said... I seem to have a thing for Canadian musicians, eh?
rootsrat Posted March 9, 2014 Author Posted March 9, 2014 Nice.As for my playlist I updated it with a song an album I forgot I had and I have to say for this particular song I like the cover better than the original.[video=youtube] Thanks for reminding me of them, Phazer! Changing the genre, I am not a fan of modern rap, those wannabe gangsters and all the bling and blang make me laugh, it's just pathetic, but I do enjoy some of the oldschool stuff, like this: [video=youtube]
