z929669 Posted April 24 Posted April 24 Discussion topic: ENB Frame Generation by doodlez & PureDark Wiki Link RELATED: Thanks to @joshpl for originally posting this on the related topic. 4 hours ago, joshpl said: The Frame Generation mod defaults to enabling Frame Limit (Variable Refresh Rate). Turn that off if you don't have a Variable Refresh Rate display. Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) = G-SYNC, FreeSync, or Adaptive-Sync We'll need to determine how it clashes with SSE Display Tweaks and if it's effectively a replacement for that. Obviously, this is only for AMD GPU, so it may not be practical for our guide, since most people are on NVIDIA. I doubt the NVIDIA analog will ever exist, since I don't think NVIDIA has an open SDK like AMD has with AMD FidelityFX™ SDK - AMD GPUOpen. AMD FSR 3.1 will work without issue on NVIDIA GTX 1070+ GPUs as well as all relevant AMD GPUs, so it's effectively compatible with all relevant GFX cards. UPDATE: Actually, from doodlez on the related mod's Nexus description: Quote DLSS Frame Generation was also implemented but due to how ENB works it was incompatible.
joshpl Posted April 24 Posted April 24 Just wanted to add some info from Nexus for Nvidia users. It appears they're just as free to benefit from these mods as AMD users. Regarding the Anti-Aliasing mod, this comment from Nexus is relevant. Spoiler PapaiJarda 16 April 2025, 7:18PM This mod is amazing, smooth and crisp image. I don't think I will ever need sharpness shaders on SSE again. Performance hit was negligible as far as I can tell, really worth it. I have it set with Nvidia DLAA + Preset K (forced through NVInspector then Default preset option on ENB AA with the latest dll). FSR 3.1 is close enough on my end as well, impressive. 10/10 Thank you so much. WestAard 19 April 2025, 11:01PM Hey there, how did you select the game with profile inspector? PapaiJarda 19 April 2025, 11:18PM @WestWard Select 'The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition' from the drop-down list at the top left. If it’s not listed, click the wrench icon > 'Add application to current profile' and browse to SkyrimSE.exe. And regarding the Frame Generation mod, this comment is relevant. Spoiler btwire 03 April 2025, 12:34PM (FIXED!) I cant get the mod to recognize that the game is in fact in Windowed Borderless, I've tried unistalling Display tweaks but it doesnt seem to affect anything. My Microsoft Visual C++ is up to date, so is my enb version. I have a RTX 4070 (supports DX12) and a 75hz Monitor (yes, I've marked the force FG option, saved enb config, applied enb config, restarded the game, and its still disabled.) Also made sure to check my Pref inis in both the Documents and Skyrim game folders, also used bethini to make sure. I use Vortex. Im at a loss, is this enough to be considered a bug? Any help is highly apprecciated. Edit: I was preaviously using Lossless scaling, wich also requires the game to not be in fullscreen. Edit 2: Could it be incompatible with puredark's Skyrim Upscaler? I use it only for the DLAA. FIXED: it actually WAS incompatible with puredark's Skyrim Upscaler, I switched it for the ENB-Anti-Aliasing mod and it worked instantly. Official statements from the mod pages, Anti-Aliasing mod description: If DLSS is compatible, then NVIDIA DLAA will automatically be enabled, otherwise AMD FSR 3.1 Native AA will be enabled. Both are running natively on D3D11. Frame Generation mod description: REQUIREMENTS Any GPU which supports DirectX 12. Unless you force enable Frame Generation in-game, it is limited to 120hz+ monitors. Windowed / Borderless Mode

Windowed / Borderless Mode I re-read through each description, and it appears that I was mistaken that this mod only applied to AMD GPUs. It appears applicable to all NVIDIA GPUs (in particular, GTX 1070+). Corrected OP.
