Haven't modded in over 3 years and finally able to now. But who's the smart person that asked us to make 2 folders with the same base "Modding" name in the v2.3 Guide? One obviously has the subfolder "Tools" but you can't have 2 folders with identical names,,,, duh! Maybe clear up that mistake to rid confusion. Other than that it appears there's a ton of the usual inconsistencies just like years ago for cleaning the ESM's from a large amount of people so beware.

Instead of criticizing us so rudely, why don't you be more specific? Example please? Otherwise, methinks you don't know what you are talking about.

As far as cleaning the vanilla masters, what are the "usual inconsistencies"? Again, be specific, or take your trolling elsewhere.

First off it was meant as a simple Q and not meant to be rude. So the STEP SkyrimSE v2.3 Guide has a link to "SSG" and in the beginning of that setup it asks you to make 3 new folders. 2 of which have identical names. Since the beginning of Windows you've never been able to do that and it still applies. Maybe an error while writing? I just know it can't be done unless you have some wizardry I'm unaware of. As for the "usual inconsistencies" for cleaning Masters,,,, after reviewing almost a dozen different sites including ones on Nexus some were saying to delete different stuff in SSEEdit. I hope this is better and doesn't offend anyone

C:\Modding
C:\Modding\Tools
C:\Games

C:\Modding
C:\Modding\Tools
C:\Games

These are all different folders. The folder shown in the second line cannot be created without first creating the folder in the first line, so these are different folders. We are simply showing the absolute path of all new folders: Modding, Tools, and Games. If you create these folders as instructed, you will not get, for example:

C:\Modding\Modding\Tools\Games

... which, by the way, is a perfectly viable path, but not ideal for our purposes.

As far as cleaning of the masters goes, you will be cleaning them using xEditQuickAutoClean, which is a reliable method for cleaning any plugin. This approach is valid, and necessary for proper functioning of DynDOLOD later in the guide. It sounds like the inconsistencies you speak of are from different sources that don't consider this approach or are otherwise outdated or misinformed.

The reason I mentioned your comment as being rude was because it's self evident to me. Have you read it since writing it? No big deal, but there's no question mark in that text. There's just some cheeky comments unfairly implying carelessness on our part, so I addressed it in my response.
