Mercury71 Posted April 5 Posted April 5 In xLODGen there is now a checkbox for "Bake specular". What is that? (not shown in the pics in the guide)

(not shown in the pics in the guide) Expand I haven't seen or tried it, but it sounds like a specular is used to construct the normal. I don't know if xLODGen produces it from the diffuse or if it's used if present beforehand. I would see the changelog or ask sheson aobut it.

Expand Look at the DynDOLOD GUI images in the guide. They say 60% for LOD grass. This is completely different from your grass INI density, which affects rendered grass. It just happens to be 60.
d2eRX52 Posted Thursday at 11:59 PM Posted Thursday at 11:59 PM (edited) unless there is some other guide i need to look at, screenshot in the guide is this and there is no percentage at this screenshot that is why i was confused well if i need to specify 60 anyway then okay i thought like 100% is 100% from my density in ini of 60, and like say 50% will be then 30, but okay my mistake ohh i get it there is 60% at guide 2.4 which is not out yet, so in setting up xlodgen, texgen and dyndolod, should i follow recommendations from 2.3 or 2.4? they differ little. i followed modlist and everything else of 2.3 Edited Friday at 12:06 AM by d2eRX52

If you had the older DynDOLOD Alpha at the time, this information was in the mouse hovertext. Many of the DynDOLOD settings have hovertext, so use that when you want to know more about a setting. 60 means that 60% of the grass will be used in object LOD. The '60' in the INI does not correspond to 60%. It tells the game how much grass should be rendered (loaded grace, not LOD grass).
d2eRX52 Posted Friday at 03:02 AM Posted Friday at 03:02 AM (edited) ok this is probably a common mistake somewhere, and i might have been even encountered this one before, but where i might have screwed up? using complex grass AND enb when i walk up to it, or move camera to it via tfc, pink coloring is gone, so i suppose it has something to do with the lods i have it with disabling all lod things, and it disappearing with disabling "Cathedral Landscapes Complex Grass for ENB" so i guess complex grass for me doesnt work despite using enb for some reason? what to do Edited Friday at 03:14 AM by d2eRX52
