andrewrush128 Posted March 8 Posted March 8 Hello there, New to the step guide and currently installing the several mods in the guide and really liking the guide so far, very detailed thanks! But I got to a specific step where I don't know exactly what I'm doing wrong but during the installation of No Grass in Objects the guide states: 4. Launch the game via MO to auto-generate the configuration file (SKSE\Plugins\GrassControl.ini) in the SKSE64 Output mod. 5. At the main screen, open the console (~), and type qqq console command to immediately quit the game. But for some reason, no file is being auto-generated after running the game via MO through the skse64_loader and quitting in the menu. I've the SKSE64 Output mod enabled and set in the skse64_loader executable but no GrassControl.ini is being created (no Plugins folder either) What am I missing here? Thank you

Thank you You probably are not sending SKSE output into the mod as instructed in the Tools Setup. Your GrassControl.ini is possibly in Overwrite as a result. Set things up as shown above and move the INI if it's in Overwrite.

I assuming this is what you use to launch. You only need one of these as an executable, so you can also delete one of them.
andrewrush128 Posted March 9 Posted March 9 Deleted, I figured as much but postponing until later to delete Ok you were right, it was on the overwrite folder for some reason even though I had the SKSE64 Output already configured. Will keep an eye to see if other ini files pop up in the overwrite. Thank you for the help and good job on the guide, really good

It was in Overwrite probably because your skse64_loader (what you used to launch the game) is the 'SKSE64' application MO is using, and it did not have instructions to shunt output into a mod. The SKSE executable was probably not used at all, so it's instructions were moot. I just renamed my skse64_loader to "SKSE Skyrim Launcher", and I probably deleted any other SKSE-redundant MO executables, which seems to work. We may need to update the instructions likewise if anyone else runs into this issue. It's one of those things that only happens once. After it's fixed, it never rears its ugly head again, so maybe that's why we never hear about it.
RomanFox Posted March 11 Posted March 11 Hello, all! This has mildly annoyed me for a while now, but I'm still getting what appears to be z-fighting on stone quarry nodes even though the latest version of HD Stone Quarry and Clay Deposit claims to have fixed it (way back in July 2023). It looks fine when that mod is disabled, but then those quarry nodes are super easy to miss. I'm asking here because I don't know whether it's something to do with another mod, and I'm also wondering if others following this guide are having the same issue. I noticed the same issue in the 2.2 STEP version, so this isn't a recent thing. If it helps, I'm using the Lightside version of Majestic Mountains. I redownloaded both the core mod and the MM update, and was sure to pick the appropriate version when I installed it. If necessary, I can try to record video.
z929669 Posted March 11 Author Posted March 11 I haven't notice an issue with this, but I haven't looked for it. If you provide a location and vantage, I can check.

Here's a video. I tested at the nodes near Lakeview Manor and Embershard Mine. Please let me know if there's anything else that might help. 1

It also looks better, so I am updating our instructions now to reflect: With the MM patch Without the MM patch I'm really not sure how this could be an MM patch, since it introduces a seam and does not blend as well with MM.

Really appreciate you checking that out! Looks great now! R 3

There is a patcch here that might work instead. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/93334?tab=files

The quarry blends well with MM Lightside anyway.
Mercury71 Posted March 16 Posted March 16 In the instructions for "Unofficial High Definition Audio Project" there are no longer any instructions about downloading all the files and merge them. Maybe bring that back? 1 1
