Fatal: Could not find ini

Question

My Textgen keeps giving me an error about locating .ini. I followed the steps on the manual page for SSE including adding the -sse to the target line, but it still gives me the issue.

[00:00:00.048]    TexGen based on xEdit x64 (5E5F5B6B) starting session 2023-06-18 19:55:54
[00:00:00.051]    Game Mode: SSE
[00:00:00.053]    Game Name: Skyrim Special Edition
[00:00:00.056]    Using Skyrim Special Edition Data Path:
[00:00:00.058]    Using Scripts Path: C:\DynDOLOD\Edit Scripts\
[00:00:00.061]    Using Cache Path:
[00:00:00.063]    Using Temp Path: C:\Users\joebo\AppData\Local\Temp\SSEEdit\
[00:00:00.067]    Using ini:
[00:00:00.077]    Fatal: Could not find ini

I am using NMM and am running the executable via the desktop shortcut option. Any help would be appricated.

Try launching the game from Steam and let it initialize and detect your video settings. Then quit immediately and try again.

NMM isn't a reliable mod manager, so other troubleshooting will be more difficult if you aren't using a more robust mod manager like Mod Organizer or Vortex.

Also, read the DynDOLOD OP and provide the logs required.

While you are using DynDOLOD 2, these explanations also apply https://dyndolod.info/Messages/INI-Files

You can see from the log that the data path, cache path and INI path are all empty. If you added line arguments to set path, they are wrong.

The tools name is TexGen.
