Hi Everyone!

I'm getting pretty consistent crashes in the Tamriel Worldspace around Whiterun/Riverwood. At first I thought it was DyndLod, but I'm not so sure. The primary areas seem to be:

  • Running through the center of town
  • The Bridge
  • The road outside Whiterun

I'm pretty sure this has to do with some type of glowmap, but could you help me pinpoint it?

For reference, every time I crash its this same exact log. I have only once obtained something different and it was an expected crash. Other than this my modlist is pretty stable and well tested. Unfortunately I can't find much info on BSLightingShaderMaterialGlowmapsThanks!

Ignore the sussy stuff by the way that's for my pet hamster to watch while I'm at work.

Interestingly enough I got the crash without Better Third Person Selection. I'm going to try TrueDirectionalMovement next as well as SkyrimSoulsRE. Seems to be happening less frequently though, or I just got lucky for a while.

Thanks for the support!

Funny enough it crashed even HDT-SMP, True Directional Movement, Skyrim Souls and Better Third Person Selection all disabled.

I'm starting to suspect this is related to memory issues (even though I'm reaching 80% memory usage, but I am on a gaming laptop) or DynDOLOD. Hmmm

In many cases, I'm able to outrun the LOD in heavy areas like Whiterun. When I arrive, the area will be grassless and without people. Then after about a minute they pop in.

Hi guys!

I did some testing, zero crashes without dynDLOD after running from the Standing Stones to Whiterun and back numerous times and doing some laps around Riverwood.

I have been generating my LOD with high settings so I'll scale it down to medium, disable glowing windows and candles and see if that helps things. I should also note I'm doing an Open Cities build so that requires me to generate LOD in the two steps.

Are there any mods I should disable while running (other than open cities for the first run obviously)? Like my weather mods?

I don't run Open Cities, so I don't know offhand. The DynDOLOD documentation has details on how to generate for OC.

This may not be the problem, but I will butt in and say that I was having pretty relentless crashes on the road in front of Honningbrew meadery and on the road that runs up the hill behind it until I installed "Grid Transition CTD fix" (the sse version on the oldrim page, there's also a Synthesis patcher).  No real idea as to why this mod stopped the ctd's in that area cold but it's effect in my game is undeniable, fwiw
