Paes Posted December 6, 2022 Posted December 6, 2022 Hello STEP community, I'm a big fan of STEP, and am returning to Skyrim after a hiatus from STEP v0.3.0b . I had an amazing experience with v0.3.0b --- I followed the guide, installed everything, and it just worked the first time around. My experience with v2.1.0 has been ... different. The short story is that I can't get it to work, and concede that it is likely because of a mistake I made and my own lack of experience. A short summary of what I've done: 1. Bought a legitimate copy of Skyrim AE 2. Followed the System Setup Guide 3. Followed the STEP Guide up to the end of Group 20. At this point, it's unclear to me if the game should be able to load, but LOOT is full of errors and warnings, and the game won't load. I'm apprehensive about proceeding further. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
DoubleYou Posted December 6, 2022 Posted December 6, 2022 See this topic: Basically you have to substitute some mods at the moment which haven't updated for the latest version of the game.
z929669 Posted December 6, 2022 Posted December 6, 2022 We're working on the 2.2.0 guide now, which will link to all of the mods relevant to SSE 1.6.640 and associated instructions.
Paes Posted December 6, 2022 Author Posted December 6, 2022 Thanks for the replies. It looks like there was some issue related to downloading of the Content Creator data. On my latest attempt to start the game, it downloaded the necessary content, and that addressed most of the LOOT errors and warnings. Oddly, MO does not complain about any incompatibilities, aside from "Whose Quest Is It Anyways", which I've disabled. Is that expected? MO did not complain about any of the other mods referenced in earlier posts. Also, LOOT still complains as follows. Are those warning to be expected, and ignored, or have I missed something?

Are those warning to be expected, and ignored, or have I missed something? Yes, the latest versions of AOS require 'Sound Record Distributor'. Please see As for ELFX Fixes both ESPs are required to be hidden in MO, moved to 'optional ESPs'. Maybe that would solve this error? Edited December 6, 2022 by CorneliusC 1
Paes Posted December 6, 2022 Author Posted December 6, 2022 Both suggestions resolved their respective issues. Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it!
