Legacy of the Dragonborn includes mods that are separately needed by this guide?

Sorry if the title is confusing. Here is the "issue"

The STEP guide recommends/wants "Book Covers Desaturated" and "Book Covers Desaturated - Lost Library". I install these mods no issue. The issue is when I also install "Legacy of the Dragonborn" I get an error message from LOOT saying that those mods are already included. They are built into Legacy in such a way that they don't appear as individual .esp files. What to do? I can still begin a new game and stuff

I believe that you can just disable them in that case.

DY is correct. You also need to remove BCS patches that you may have previously installed (either as part of STEP guide or separately). BCS patches are included in the Legacy of the Dragonborn - Official Patches that you should download and install.
