YamiJustin Posted June 25, 2022 Posted June 25, 2022 I only ask because some people who are aware of Display Tweaks still insist not to do it. I would prefer going beyond it but am unsure what issues might be present. Could a higher fps affect quests or something? Thanks for the Skyrim AE guide
0 DoubleYou Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 It is completely safe to go above 60 fps if you use SSE Display Tweaks.
0 YamiJustin Posted June 26, 2022 Author Posted June 26, 2022 Thanks! I spent the last full week adding countless mods to a new install of Skyrim, since I got a 3080 Ti and new pc build. But the other day I had a crash to black, seemingly out of nowhere. It immediately crashed to black every time I tried to open Skyrim, and my "clean" backup of the data files solved nothing. I had to do a full O/S reinstall to fix the issue. I'm guessing my mindlessly adding 300+ mods without thoroughly reading them finally did me in. I guess because Skyrim is now a 64bit engine AND because I was using MO2, I figured I would notice any issues before they became that large. So now I am taking all caution and following the S.T.E.P. guide.
