Hey Guys the STEP Version of the guide have been updated so please check the Changelog. This is likely to be the last Update for a few weeks as I am taking a little break due Summer Holidays being upon me soon.

HI i just tried to start the M'riss'is questline, but as soon as pick an dialog choice that would lead to the fight the game crashes. Has sombody an idea what could cause that problem?

Hm strange i cant edit my last post... i found the Problem and it was not related to the mod. The Field Guard Arrows that i had equiped caused the crash .. quite strange.

I'm still in the process of assembling everything right now, and wanted to ask about the NPC Overhauls. I'm fine with everything as-is except for one particular thing. I still have the "Tiny Serana" mod files that I had downloaded a while back before they got taken down from the Nexus site. I intended to use the mod back then, but never got around to it. I'd like to add that in, but the guide already makes changes to Serana.

How difficult would it be, and is there anywhere that would explain the process, to swap out the existing changes to Serana and use the "Tiny Serana" mod instead?

Similar to the recent question regarding skin textures for men, the general answer is that, if you want to use that mod you can... BUT. All NPC Textures and whatnot in this guide have a unified CR patch that is used, and it expects certain records to be there - and they won't with the differing mod. This mean that you would have to do any alterations to that patch or create one for yourself.

Sorry to pop up this again but I stopped merging until I get a definite answer.

Is it safe to use the normal file and  not merged file of Moonpath Music - Sky and Light fix ... since this appears to have some sort of looping music bug ?!

Thanks in advance.

This bug has, to my knowledge, been infrequently reported, and we have a fix posted for it in the Discord... I don't have that available to me at the moment. With that said, I think you'd be better off using the file listed and looking up the fix I just mentioned than trying to use a different file that may or may not work with our setup. I'd think, though, that if it were seen a bunch in our setup, we'd have done something about it by now.

Best place to check for that, at least for the next few weeks, is with the Devs and Moderators on Lexy's discord - as mentioned, she's a bit burned out on Skyrim, and will be taking several weeks off from guide updates. They will help out on that front, and can provide better recommendations that asking here, given most of them don't check this thread anymore. I think, actually, that myself and Lexy are pretty much the only ones that do... though Bern is generally a good source of info as well.

can we update tactical valtheim also?

it updated yesterday

oh that one slip me by wasn't on my to do list looking at the changelog for it says: "Do not upgrade versions on a save where you have already visited Valtheim." which tell me it requires a new game.

I don't mind trying to tweak the patch myself, I can always keep the original setup on standby in case things go wrong and just go with the guide's mod. Is there anywhere I can look for directions on how this particular process would work? Like, would I be going into xEdit or the Creation Kit to do this? If it's xEdit, then I'm guessing that I just load the ESP and delete the records regarding Serana, then place the mods that I want to use in the load order separately. If that's the case, I don't know how I would find which records go to Serana specifically.

Best way to address this, honestly, is to join in the Discord and visit either @modahaulics_anonymous or #non_guide_mods... should be able to get the help you need from either.
