Lexy's: Legacy of The Dragonborn Special Edition

Recommended Posts

I'm gonna ask Sheson too but maybe one of you has an idea what's going on:

Before running DynDOLODhttps://puu.sh/Cbisn/44e01cc9cc.jpg

After running DynDOLODhttps://puu.sh/Cbion/f0f925a86a.jpg

Somehow DynDOLOD makes everything distant look worse (or at least, very bright). I double checked my load order and mods and the DynDOLOD settings are exactly as prescribed (inlcuding LOD brightness = 0). I feel like tuning it down could make the textures look at least bearable but I am shocked about the noticeable low quality of these. I never really used DynDOLOD before, is this the kind of "ultra LODs" mod authors are advertising with?

Anyways, does anyone know where I can start troubleshooting? Redownloading and rerunning everything with different setups is not working good so far. Does the problem lie in my Billboards or is something wrong with the program?

Thanks in advance!

to be honest to me there don't look all that different yes the sky a little brighter but that is it.

Edit: Ah now I see it the trees become brighter, not sure what to advise there. to me, it looks the texture isn't being applied to the billboards. what Preset did you pick?

It looks like form the screenshot you chose the Medium Preset I advise trying the High Preset.

Now loot tells me it's missing the Scarcity group. So I just added the three scarcity .esps to Arthmoore village group and issue resolved with loot. Hope that is a valid solution.

I was runing Relinker and got the same as before:

---------------------------------------------------------

I need to know Mod Organizer's root folder [E:\Mod Organizer 2 - Lexys LOTD SE]
--->
I need to know Mod Organizer's Mods folder [E:\Mod Organizer 2 - Lexys LOTD SE\mods]
---> E:\Mod Organizer 2 - Lexys LOTD SE\mods

Alright, let's get started.

First, search the Mods folder for merged plugins.
  File "<string>", line 222, in <module>
File "configparser.py", line 778, in get
  File "configparser.py", line 1138, in _unify_values

<class 'configparser.NoSectionError'>: No section: 'General'
Press Enter to exit...

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Before the mods folder was with the profiles, downloads, overwrite, webcache folders but they where not in the same folder as the MO2.exe.

I was told that they needed to be in the same location as the MO2 folder. I assumed this meant inside the MO2 folder. So I copied and pasted them there. Made sure MO2 had the path to the moved folders and profiles.

Then run Relinker. Got same message.

So not sure it was the location since both the MO2 folder and the modding folder where in E drive.

No idea how to proceed with Relinker issue. Sorry to bother others with this.

Only one thing was new. Now loot tells me it's missing the Scarcity

group.

Hay mama mia! :) Not sure why loot says that after all we never created a scarcity group in loot.

The Scarcity Group was recently removed.

For Relinker is MO2 running in portable mode with the Mods and profile in the MO" base folder? Also excluded from any antivirus.

The Mods and profiles where outside the MO base folder.

So I cut and pasted them inside.

The path to MO is:

E:\Mod Organizer 2 - Lexys LOTD SE

The path to the mods is:

E:\Mod Organizer 2 - Lexys LOTD SE\mods

But originally the path to the mods was:

E:\Modding\MO2-SkyrimSE\mods

Does that mean I installed MO non-portable? I really thought I had done it portable.

How can i go about fixing it if that's the case?

Long time lurker of this thread, thanks all for your hard work. I just completed the oldrim version of this guide that I set up in 2016.

I was thinking that to bridge the time until this guide is finished, I could play some of the bigger quest mods, that won't be part of Lexy's LOTD SE, in a smaller mod pack.

So do you guys have recommendations for big quest mods that are worth playing but definitely won't be part of this guide (or at least it's very unlikely)?

So far I have:

Maids 2

Beyond Reach

the two Rigmor mods

Wyrmstooth SE

Summerset Isle and Pirates (either in oldrim or I convert them)

Hey Lexy, i followed your guide and everything works perfectly but one thing, dyndolod and realistic waters two, when both of these are enabled i crash anytime i get near the college of winterhold. removing dyndolod or realistic waters two fixes this problem, but i love both and was wondering if you, or anyone could have an idea why. I'm only running one other mod set besides the guide and that's open cities, with all the patches i would need for said content.

So not sure what's up with relinker, the paths are right and it doesn't report any errors it just says:

I need to know Mod Organizer's root folder [E:\Mod Organizer 2 - Lexys LOTD SE]

--->

<class 'configparser.NoSectionError'>: No section: 'General'

Press Enter to exit...

But then the overwrite folder is empty.

I'll keep searching on google for similar cases

Another user recently has been having similar issues, and despite a few hours of trying to work through it with her on Discord and here on the thread, we never arrived at a solution. That's the bad news - the good news is that as soon as a few errors are fixed, the guide will be dropping Relinker and going to ZMerge... Lexy tells us we're waiting on Mator to get a few things patched up, but otherwise it works far more reliably. It may mean waiting longer, but that may be the only option. Keep in mind: ReLinker stopped being worked on a long time ago, and until I started using it here I'd never heard of it. I don't know that it got the huge amount of testing on various systems that it should have.

Hey,

I just updated my load order to the newest version of the guide. When running Dyndolod I get the following error:

Can someone help me with this. I really have no idea what to do-_- It worked fine up until now. TexGen also worked just fine

Tried it, now I have a different error:

If you still haven't solved this, as Lexy mentioned, Sheson and his DynDOLOD threads are a far better place to bring these up - we use them, but we don't know all the stuff that makes it work. For the first, Error 5's have been popping up a lot since 2.48 standalone hit (which is also around the time WIN10 did a major-ish update, so possibly related if you use WIN10), and most that I've talked with (and my own experience as well) says that running DynDOLOD as an admin will cut down on those significantly. As to the other, as pointed out, you're missing a .nif, and the most likely place (given it has the word 'snow' in it) is the NSUTR files.

...I was thinking that to bridge the time until this guide is finished...

*laughs uproariously* He thinks the guide is gonna be 'finished'... that's just funny.

What type of crash? We talking CTD or Freeze? Also, to make sure I understand, you can disable either of them and it works? If that's the case, I'd look to make sure (first) that RWT was installed correctly and that all files are present. That done (and assuming the problem persists) I'd delete all DynDOLOD generated files and re-run it from scratch to be certain you have a good set of output files.

I had this problem as well. I kept equipping and unequipping items and spells to no avail. So I just went about setting up all the MCM stuff and the Classic classes and Birth Signs menu eventually popped up in the middle of setting up the MCM's. Not sure why it took so long. Perhaps if you just go about setting things up it will eventually appear.

I went through the MCM stuff and still no Classic Classes. ::sigh:: I may have to do a complete rebuild because obviously something went wrong.

On a side-note, how hard is this playthrough?

For me Classic Classes automatically pops up after you have selected your start in the prison and slept in the bed, so just let all the MCMs load, set your settings and then pick your start and sleep in your bed, then you should get the classic classes popup.

Well... let's just say you don't wanna hit Bleak Falls barrow before level 10-ish without either a flotilla of followers (one user reported clearing it at level 6 with three followers... barely) or a trigger happy save button finger. Most I've seen talking seem to recommend doing a lot of 'other' stuff for a while first to build up your level and gear... usually things like local missives quests and roaming bandits in the Greater Whiterun Area. It's not vanilla easy, that is for certain, but a lot of it is going to depend on how you decide to play it. It will be harder, but it's certainly playable... and more importantly, enjoyable.
