Lexy's: Legacy of The Dragonborn Special Edition

Recommended Posts

I've been thinking about "updating" (reinstalling) my game to the latest guide version and I've been looking at the changes in the past few months, and one that stood out was adding Skyrim Uncapper by Dreadflopp instead of Skyrim Skill Uncapper ini for Ordinator. I've been comparing the two versions and the difference between them is huge in favour of the ini for Ordinator (updated in July 2018). Dreadflopp's version just adds a few extra perk points (1 more every 5 levels), increases the skill lvl limit to 150 and disables Legendary Skills, while the Uncapper ini version brings major changes to skill progression, with various values until player lvl 100, and they look pretty well thought out. Why not use this one?

Hello,

Does anyone have experience with this mod? I wanted to add it to my Lexy setup.

Final update was released 19/8 and says it should be compatible with everything (new lands similar in size to Lordbound/Apotheosi/Bloodbound from what I can tell, looks very professional from gameplay videos, with english voice acting)

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/10777/

should be OK to use as it a new land mass.

Dread felt that Ordinator uncapper was unbalanced so he created his own but nothing stopping you using whatever uncapper you want. We might even have a new one once Skeleton Jack (Omega mod author) works his mojo.

An Uncapper adapted for your guide would be awesome  ::D:  .

There will always more updates to come, best advice is to follow the guide and to stick with THAT version of the guide and to start playing. Though Legacy of the Dragonborn is due amd update soon with some new/updated patches and such (probably want to wait for those to drop). This guide will likely only stop development when Lexy decides to move on lol.

To clarify, I meant was there another major update that is incoming in the short term? I know that the guide is going to be constantly updated I was more wondering if there was going to be any super major changes in like a week or so.

KYE, SRECO, slight change in the NPC Retexture Section and the various CR's and consistency patches I provided will be updated on the 5th of September.

Plus if i have time a downscale of some of the 4K texture mods but we will see how much I get through shall we.

T-Minus 10 days until liftoff.

SO after messing around more, I think I see the culprit. I've updated my Imgur album for this with two shots of Dragons Reach... the first is pretty close to the first one I posted, the second is with the ENB (The one that is recommended by this guide) turned off. The difference is almost literally night and day. It seems I may have to be far more drastic in the changes to the base settings than I have been to this point, or I need to find a new ENB that doesn't darken as badly as this one does.

Finished my install yesterday and things seem to be going okay...except for one weird but consistently reproducible thing. I CTD every time I initiate Carlotta's shop dialogue. I can buy from other merchants and I can talk to her about other topics (I finished her personal quest). But when I ask her what she has for sale, she gives me the standard dialogue and then I CTD

I have no clue where to even start with this one. Ideas?

Have you guys taken a look at T'Skyrim - True Skyrim?  https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/17125

Makes quite a few really nice changes to gameplay, magicka, economy, archery, crafting, and lots of other stuff.  It's from mnikjom, the same author as Skyrim Reborn - Whiterun Hold.

Unsure how difficult it would be to roll into the guide given all the changes, but if it's a relatively easy integration, I think it could be a nice addition to the guide.  Didn't see it on the trello page, so thought I'd ask.  Never hurts to ask :D

@Lexy - I know you've been going through Trello stuff today, and I do have one question/request with regards to it. When you move mod to 'accepted and will be added to guide', could you also give a preliminary placement in the load order for those who want to get ahead of the game? If not, no problem... just so tempting to drop stuff in, but don't want to do it without some idea of where it's gonna be.

Hello,

Two questions about installing dyndolod

(1)when choosing an output folder, the guide states that i should choose mod organizer2/mods, but if I do it there only appears in the left pane "textures"in gray with a red cross. Should i make a new map and put the textures in there?

(2) the guide states to choose some options for running the dyndolod exe. it doesnt mention "generate Tree Lods options" but this one is unchecked . should i uncheck it? im a bit confused about all this lod stuff. is there a site where it is explained?

Possible mod conflict in game - I suspect Convenient Horses and Shields of the Holds. Images here and here. Looks like a bad texture alignment of some kind. Not sure if there's a direct conflict somehow, or if this is just Shields... any ideas?

EDIT: Have seen it for shields for Riften and the horse armor for Whiterun... Solitude shields appear to be fine, and haven't checked all the others yet.

Hey guys two things:

In case anyone read my posts about my audio problems, the solution turned out to be moving all files minus the .esp's to the Skyrim SE Data folder. Now the mods are active, no missing masters, and all sounds work great! Thank you to the stranger in another forum who suggested that! I don't anticipate any long-term problems as it was just a few mods and I know just what I put where *furiously knocks on wood*

Also I wanted to suggest a mod to those of you who want a little extra. It is not one that I would suggest on the Trello because while it should work fine with the guide there is no reason to add it as it relates to nothing we're doing here. Some of you might remember Wyvern Rock Castle from old school Skyrim. It's a fantastic player home mod that adds an enormous castle southwest of Windhelm. You can purchase it for 30,000 gold or become Archmage of the College of Winterhold to get it for free. Like the description says, it is more of a "town" than anything as it is so huge. I have literally loaded up the game and spent 2-3 hours running around exploring without leaving the castle! With SE comes a new quest that will mark down how many of the 12 secret rooms you've found (I can't get past 10). There is a minor annoyance as the guards will constantly talk to you whenever they're near you which To Your Face doesn't seem to fix, but you can just disable them if you want.

Anyways it was one of my favorite mods ever (besides LoTD of course) and I literally would check every few weeks for the past year to see if someone ported it. Guess what happened just a few weeks ago...
