Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback

Recommended Posts

As already suggested, try the performance version of Vividian. Another suggestion is the performance version of Real Vision. I have had good luck with it with lesser specs then SR:LE. If that doesn't help, try no ENB. Failing that, SR:LE almost always calls for 2K textures. Use 1K textures where available. Script heavy mods can cause slow downs, my problem as I run lots on top of SR:LE especially Wet and Cold. Reduce the number of scripted mods used. The biggest factor will be your graphics card and how much memory (VRAM) you have. With SR:LE, I often go over 3 MB VRAM as reported by Skyrim Permormance Monitor. Neovalen's specs are listed on the top of his guide. Compare. STEP has recommendations for its install depending on your system capabilities. Check those.

Thanks! This helped a ton.

I wouldn't personnaly recommend the realvision.

With all the respect I have for SkyrimTuner, the enb feels stuck in the past technically.

The graphisms don't feel improved like they should have after all boris updates.

Tons of features are not used, not much tweaks and the result is average, it's not realistic if you compare it to an enb like NLA for example, nor fantasy, it's just like a huge contrast boost, and the enb takes lot of ressources for pretty much nothing.

Vividian performance should be light enough honestly.

Vaportrails, when your system is already sweating at the start, the 2k-textures are indeed too much for it to handle. The 1k-, or - if available - 1k/2k-packages will reduce drastically the load on your machine.

Instead of an ENB, you could also use SweetFx and one of its various presets. Some of them rival performance ENBs in looks while costing you pretty much nothing in FPS. However, shadows look much better with an ENB even if it's "only" a performance variation. And you'd need to adapt other mods in the Skyrim Revisited LO as well, so, it might not be what you are looking for ..

Regardless, if your system is straining already, you might want to think about getting rid of some of the more script-heavy mods as well. They might become a problem when you get into a fight with larger groups of enemies. Because then, "Burn Freeze Shock Effects", "Deadly Spell Impacts" and "Enhanced Blood Textures" will be active all at once while "Footprints" and some other mods might still be adding their scripts to your load.

Since everyone considers other mods beneficial, I doubt that we'd all agree on mods that could be cut out. I didn't miss any of the mentioned ones in plenty of playthroughs, though I usually add quite a lot of other (sometimes script-intensive) mods that make combat larger and harder.

Essential mods are always the ones that add something valuable to the gaming experience you seek. Whenever a mod has a performance cost, but doesn't benefit the game you want to play, get rid of it.

Example: When I played with "Winter Overhaul", I had little use for mods that worked on the flora or added bugs etc. But in that playthrough, "Footprints" were essential. And when I play a magic user, "Frostfall" is worse than useless since such a character should be able to withstand any adverse weather conditions with ease, while "Burn Freeze Shock Effects" and "Deadly Spell Impacts" add some appropriate effects.

If a mod doesn't sharpen or, worse, weakens your focus, don't install it.

Though, if you want to use Neovalen's premade conflict-resolution-patch, you need to install all the mods that are added to it. OTOH, you could always make your own patch, since Neovalen has published a great Conflict Resolution Subguide to his LO.

In the guide under the heading "Extract Dialogue Views and Script Source"

- Open Scripts.rar found in the Skyrim/Data folder and extract all files in place.

Does that basically mean Open Skyrim/Data folder and extract Scripts.rar, So now the data folder also has a scripts folder in it?

Thank you, I'll look if it fixes the issue the next time I die ::P:

By the way, I have another issue with brawls, At some point the foe heals completely, stop fighting and if I hit him once more it's considered as a crime.

And if I talk to him again I can fight once more.

Any Idea where could this come from ?

Some mod updated and doesn't have their magic effect flags set properly. Without disabling one mod at a time it's hard to diagnose.

Uh huge issue.

I Had a ctd when leaving whiterun.

Then I relaunched the game and I can't even leave Dragonsreach anymore It just crashes after the loading.

What da hell ?

Interesting... If you haven't already check mem blocks log. Also try waiting a few hours in game. Another thing to try is COC to Breezehome or bannered mare. All solutions I've read for similar issues (not just srle, mind you)

Tried new game

Tried to wait hours.

Looks like interiors are unaffected.

Lastest papyrus line is always :   [None].ProperWeaponScaleEffect.OnCellDetach() - "ProperWeaponScaleEffect.psc" Line ?

Even vanilla Skyrim is crashing wut.
