Hello Neo,

Winter is Coming Cloaks.

Can we remove the 1nivWICCloaksCRAFT.esp ? since it is provided with "Winter is Coming - CCO Compatible Version"

I am a little confused about the Septim HD install instructions. Should I uncheck everything except Default BBP. When I do this I get the warning- no game data on top level. Or should I leave the textures and meshes checked also?

Right click the dir and select "Set data directory".

Assuming you order things correctly *, the following TES5Edit merge works without producing errors or facegen files:

RS P&P Merged and Renumbered;RSChildren_CompleteUSKPPatch - Inconsequential NPCs - RS kidsPatch - Falskaar - RS kidsPatch - Wyrm - RS kidsPatch - ETaC Complete - RS kidsPrinceAndPauperRSPrince and Pauper - RS children and Inconsequential NPCs

* you need to set LOOT metadata to make sure all master files (ETaC Complete, Inconsequential NPCs) load before the plugins ot be merged, if there is an unselected master loaded in TES5Edit the merge will produce errors, see REGS thread for more on this.

You could maybe include a link to the post you're talking about irish there are over 100 pages there.

Yeah, I don't have a link for you, I saw the issue a few days ago thought I'd pass you the tip. You could also check MO for the conflict, or use MFG console to see what touched it last.

This is a thread for feedback, so I figured this was the place to review S:RE.

I love the guide. It's been a lot of fun to follow. Tremendous and admirable work.

The visuals in the game are stunning. It turns Skyrim into an even more amazing work of art.

To be honest though, the gameplay is frustrating. Maybe if you've logged thousands of hours and have a fully leveled character this is no big deal, but the mods that affect difficulty are inconsistent. It's really hard to play the game starting from Level 1 especially at the recommended Expert difficulty level. I couldn't even damage anything at low level Expert so I dropped that down. Then I ran into Immersive Creatures.

I've played Skyrim with minimal mods before so I have an expectation for how combat works. For example when I see a Skeever in the distance, I feel pretty confident that I can put an arrow threw it and move on. Except nope that's not a Skeever, that's a Bandit Vermin Defiler (or something) and has more health than the bandits I've been fighting and can kill me in two hits.

Or the time I was trying to sneak into Goldenglow and the sewers were filled not with Skeevers, but Wereskeevers who knocked me down with the first hit and killed me with the second. Great idea, sneaking through that sewer to avoid a fight...

So my question is: Should low level characters even bother with S:RE? It seems designed to amp up the difficulty once you've already built an unstoppable Dovahkiin. Or if not, does anyone have any pointers on how to play the game without having to randomly abandon quests because the world's most dangerous rat randomly spawned in the middle of it?

If this is "working as intended," that's fine. Just let me know and I can go back to regular STEP since I'm not looking for a Dark Souls style extreme challenge of repeated death from my RPGs.

Where in the guide does it suggest Expert difficulty? afaik that's only for deadly dragons. the Bandit Vermin Defiler is from OBIS, and it's going to be toned down in the next version. perhaps SR:LE should fix its stats in the meanwhile?

at the moment SR:LE does not contain a combat mod, an AI mod and an encounter level mod so it's pretty easy imo, but I enjoy having to run from strong enemies at low levels. Adept difficulty is fine, nerfing player damage and giving mobs tons of hp is a crappy way of raising the challenge anyway :)

SRLE at the moment is pretty easy, for reasons Gekko64 already outlined. Also don't forget that the SIC difficulty slider pertains not only to SIC creatures but also to HLE creatures. The only ones unaffected by any difficulty slider are, I think, the OBIS bandits. Also within SIC there are options to disable/enable extra armor/hp on creatures, you can reduce the amount of spawns, disable certain types of creatures etc etc.

Basically, using the default difficulty slider from skyrim + the SIC options should give you plenty of room to adjust the game to your liking.

Have to agree SR:LE as is provides few real challenges so not sure how you are finding it difficult. Now put Requiem on top and it becomes beyond awesome, and difficult. SR:LE is not finished yet but provides the best base out there to which you need to add very little. Except maybe REGS as it is the most 'must have' pack on the wiki IMHO.

What got you to choose a timescale of 20 instead of 10 or 15. Just curious

? From the guide:

Right-click "Timescale" and select "10".
