First post, so I must thank this amazing community who has worked so hard on the STEP program.  Thank you!

 

Is it generally a good rule of thumb to merge patches?

Yeah you can do that. I usually leave the main file alone and just merge any other patch esps there are.

 

Just watch for dependencies else you may tie yourself in knots.

It's personal preference. I typically merge everything into the main mod folders.
