SRLE Extended: Legacy of The Dragonborn

Is there an easy way to remove or replace the ENB?  I don't like the looks of it at all, the classic look without it is much more life-like, at least imho. Once I'm in-game, I turn off ENB with Shift-F12.

Do I thereby disable the Memory function as well, which would help prevent CTDs?

There are some ENB-related files merged, do I have to undo that merge before installing a different ENB or turn it off completely?

Besides the visual aspect, I have had now several CTD with Crash Fix stating "Skyrim has failed  to allocate memory! ...". I have followed those steps suggested with not too much success.

A quick way of permanently turning off the enb without having to faff around with removing stuff is to change UsePatchSpeedhackWithoutGraphics= to true in the enblocal.ini file. This will turn off the prettiness of the ENB while maintaining the memory fix.

Since I will not use an ENB, do I still need ELE and is there any merging with ELE/LOTD specific patches with ELE included? aka. do I need to some tweaks to the load order if I remove ELE?

Do you really just need to edit the enblocal.ini file and nothing else?

Hello,

This is my first time in the forum and i have many questions, but i will be as simple as i can. Would it be right to say that Legacy of the Dragonborn is an extension to the"""main""" guide here in STEP? From what im seeing, this is the most popular post at this subforum. I dont wanna be ignorant, i looked at the description of the guide and it seens to be an add-on for the guide,or an extension per say.

There are two files in the first post of this thread, wich should i use for a guidline for modding?

Why use the LE over SE? I would assume its the amount of mods and compatibility, but isnt the re-release more stable and performance friendly?

If i want updated info for the guide, is this thread the first place i should check for news or is there another place to check?

For now thats it, just a disclaimer, sorry if it all sounded very noobish, but i only followed guide from the nexus cause i wanted something easier at the start, but now that i think that the LE edition has more to offer i wanted to give this a try but wanted to be 99% sure of what im going to do to not wast my time.

Thanks in advance and heppy modding for everyone!

SRLE Extended LOTD originally was an add-on to the Skyrim Revisited: Legendary Edition Guide by Neovalen but it grew and is no it own guide.

this is the main guide page https://wiki.step-project.com/User:Darth_mathias/SRLE_Extended_Legacy_of_The_Dragonborn from there you can get to everything you need to install the guide.

The LE guide is more fleshed out and complete; while the SE guide is currently in "Beta" and is a little bit more advanced but the SE Guide is where I spend most of my time and gets the most love now.

Hey guys, just had an issue with Relinker. It said it was missing msvcp110.dll. I'm using Windows 10 and it turned out that Relinker needed Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 to be installed (I installed the 32 bit version). I checked the guide and it isn't mentioned, but I'm pretty sure I had it in one of my previous builds because the visual c installer was in my other pc's downloaded files, so I must have got the solution then as well (can't remember, haven't used MO in a long time ;). Just thought I should mention it in case someone else has the same problem.

Thank you very much for your help, i'll try the guide this week, looks pretty impressive, not only yours, but everyone's work here at STEP.

Cheers!

Hey all, have not posted in a while, because I have been wrapped up in actually playing the game as opposed to modding 😜

While we are on the topic of CTDs, has anyone encountered random CTDs lately? I have been experiencing it quite a bit and not sure how to fix it.

Other thing I was wondering about was the Wrye Bash Patch. So after you have Rebuilt the Bashed Patch, when you add any additional mods that introduce an esp file, you have to Rebuild the Bashed Patch, right? For doing that, do you have to re-enable all mods that are unchecked???

So far, I have been doing it as follows:

1. Install additional mods

2. For those have esp files, first run LOOT to sort order.

3. Next run Wrye Bash (note that I am not de-selecting or de-activating anything)

4. Right click and Rebuild Bashed Patch

5. Uncheck NoMerge mods

6. Review the custom settings and checked items above Leveled Lists (can’t remember all of them) and click Build Patch.

7. Next, run ASIS

8. Next, run Dual Sheath Redux

9. Lastly, navigate to the Mod Organizer -> overwrite folder and cut all the files and paste into the SRLE Extended LOTD Profile folder, overwriting existing files.

10. Launch game

Am I doing it right?

Thanks.

Looks fine to me. This is why I often don't do the Bash and skyproc stuff till I'm certain I have my mod list down finally. Just to stop having to redo everything all the time.

I have quick question hoping some one will confirm for me. I am currently at the "Run Relinker" part of this guide and I don't remember the instructions on how to properly run this program. I understand that the tool will

"take the merge maps that are produced when you merge something, grabs all the scripts and LODGen files from your active mod list (BSAs included) and replaces the old plugin name and formIDs with the new plugin name and formIDs."

Does this mean that all mods used to make these merges need to be activated so that the tool can see them or can the tool still read the information from the activated new merge?

P.S I hope this question makes sense, maybe a shower and breakfast will restore my brain faculties.

A few questions on Error messages and problems:

1. For most enchanted rings or amulets I get an error description instead of their enchantment (Error: lstring ID should be Int32 value...). Any ideas what could cause this?

2. When I look through my papyrus logs, I have hundreds of entries for the following script: WAO_NPCArmorScript (which is part of the Weapons and Armors Attributes mod). They are all trying to call something (keyword, weight, armorrating etc.) and get a none object and have to abort. (Might that be related to the previous problem?)

3. But the last entries in the logs are usually about CACO_AltFloraScript (obviously from the CACO mod), so I guess something in that scrips might break the game eventually? It's usually a call on an invalid object.

4. I just played the Moonpath to Elsweyr quest line completely through without one single CTD (close to 3.5 hours), only to return to Skyrim and have it crash within 10 minutes or so. It seems that my crashes are definitely linked to the main game/areas not any addon regions I have installed.

Completely unrelated question to my last post:

I used to play a lot with the Vilja follower in the past. Any issues with her for this build?

Hey spartanflame, I am using Vilja alongwith a bunch of other followers in my build - so far no issues ::): However, do not take my word for it, I am playing with my fingers crossed  :;):

Thanks for responding, Nozzer - yeah as I am playing through, I am adding some mods that I used to use a while back - for example, My Home Is Your Home.
