Also I had to cut below 145 plugins to avoid crashes/red exclamation marks/sounds not playing/ESC key not working, now at 141.

On Windows 10 LTSC (1809, RS5 on normal Win10 terms), I experienced occasional freezes on indoor areas. I narrowed it down to the problem being uncapped FPS, with vertical sync off (iPresentInterval=0 in Fallout.ini). Enabling Vsync and that capping FPS to 60 (not sure if that will work on higher refresh rates monitors) solves the freezing but that's not optimal as it introduces very noticeable and annoying input lag. The solution that I also use on FNV and FO4, to avoid crazy lockpicking speed, is to cap FPS to 60 with Afterburner and RivaTuner The solution for this old post is to revert these settings to default 15 in Fallout.ini: iSafeZoneX=15 iSafeZoneXWide=15 iSafeZoneY=15 iSafeZoneYWide=15

A question, I remember moving the UI borders (check the quick save tooltip on top left) https://imgbox.com/jQRqFytT How did I change that to revert it? I don't remember how I did it :P

Thanks for the update! Some notes: Simply Uncut got a pretty big update, went from esp to esm. I think the appropriate new file is "Simply Uncut - Standard V.1.5 - A New Age" Zealotlees ACR - Adaptive Combat Rifle -NO fose- has moved the "d_ZL-ACR-Nofose_ALTStats-IS" to older files, I think the new equivalent is "d_ZL-ACR-Nofose_FWE-IS" Brisa Almodovar has had an update and only has 1 main file DCworld21 - Monticello Park was removed from Nexus

GUIDE Fear and Loathing in New Vegas - Feedback
Hackerpcs replied to EssArrBee's topic in Fear & Loathing in New Vegas
There seems to be a big update for Weapon Retexture Project, 1.95 is still available under old files -
Mine is 33,7GB and because of Windows disk-wide compression enabled it's down to 26.4GB. Excluded are the vanilla optimized textures which are ~2GB uncompressed and ~1GB in lzma2 7z ultra compressed that I keep them separate and included are these additional mods https://images2.imgbox.com/28/b6/JL9VnL8B_o.png

Here it is with "WeaponModKits - FWE Master Release.esp" removed https://mega.nz/#!IdokACzC!kb_9lx9v2MCZHpePXKKn4dN6NYJvyrnEpgmQUO_V0R0

This is an oversight by me while installing the guide and I think it also needs an edit. WeaponModKits - FWE Master Release.esp is from "FOIP - Weapon Mod Kits and FWE 6-03" that here https://wiki.step-project.com/User:Kelmych/Fallout3#Conditional_Patches_List is for use for the second row, which I actually (and I think most people) are on the 6th row and they installed FWE, Project Beauty (Fallout 3 Redesigned), Weapon Mod Kits, RH_Ironsights, EVE, MMM So, from "RH_IronSights FWE- WMK compatible" only RH_WMK_Bridge.esp must be installed. I'll try to remove also WeaponModKits - FWE Master Release.esp from the final STEP patch.

Not that familiar with wiki editing, if you can please add it :)

In Merging Plugins section, Fallout 3 Hirezd (flamer and minigun plugins) are said to be fine to be merged but they are masters to the final STEP patch of The Wasteland Patch Collection. Speaking of which, with the help of ElminsterAU, I was able to strip the STEP patch of 20th Century dependencies for those who don't use it https://mega.nz/#!xFxinChQ!_lVeQ5iDvogTL0odPzk8iBFaB3QPtc3Y1_j9_5kFrNY What I did was -Use three dummy plugins in place of each of the three 20th century masters -Filter by "only injected" in xEdit and delete the 2 records -Apply Filter For Cleaning -Use "Remove invalid entries from from lists.pas" as suggested by zilav to remove unresolved errors -Clean Masters

In merging Adv Recon plugins section https://wiki.step-project.com/User:Essarrbee/FalloutNewVegas#Gopher.27s_Advanced_Recon How are bsas meant to be read from the game? If I don't extract them to loose files the game doesn't see them and I get question marks -
How to access the Data folder as the game sees it

With 64 bit only games like Fallout 4, FreeCommander free 32bit version isn't compatible (64bit version is available only to donors) but any 64bit file manager like 7zip or Total Commander works instead -

Sorry if it has been asked before, should the official High Resolution Texture Pack DLC be used with the guide? -
Never mind about PPA, -10 AGL it's because the lack of Advanced Training perk :P https://i.imgur.com/y8iIukA.png

By mistake the guide have been overwritten by just the changelog, I'm viewing the just before it version for now https://wiki.step-project.com/index.php?title=User:Kelmych/Fallout3&oldid=101837 On User Recommended Mods section: -Links to below 2 mods need a little fix: Enclave Radio Enhanced; Quieter Nuka-Cola Sign; -Below mod is hidden with reason "updating" Metal Boxes Replacer; replaces metal boxes with cardboard boxes I have started the guide some time in November without finishing due to old GPU failing and had "Another Interior Mod" installed, changelog says "Updated Installation Instructions for Another Interior Mod, to remove an overwrite of a location in In the Shadow of the Swamp" but it isn't in the guide now, was it removed? Generally, should I sort with LOOT after generating the bashed patch with Wrye Flash? Does it matter if I do? On "Add Bash Tags" section: I tried first the 3rd option with Generate Tags for Wrye Bash xEdit script: "The script might add tags that shouldn't be added since they would cause Wrye Flash to overwrite records from some more desirable plugins, but in many cases this is not a problem." This seems to be the case with "WEP Uniques FWE", if generate bash tags script is used on its plugins this problem will occur on A3-21's plasma rifle (luckily I've randomly had it while doing the guide on an old vanilla save and noticed it): https://i.imgur.com/cYG3XN5.png https://i.imgur.com/oadqRPK.png Should I use the generate bash tags script at all? I noticed the problem after generating tags for all plugins so I think I can't know which tags are good and which aren't, right? I tried then approach no1 by using the tags shown in LOOT (I have the provided userlist.yaml before the update above) but then the rifle becomes a sniper/plasma rifle combination: https://i.imgur.com/9QtGy5B.png So I wonder, should/can I avoid adding bash tags on my own at all and leave the default ones while generating the bashed patch? Because that way things seem to work properly https://i.imgur.com/DH0IkZc.png https://i.imgur.com/2xpRWjQ.png By the way by leaving the 247 plugin count without a bashed patch at all the game doesn't launch and just shows a red line So, by generating a bashed patch without adding any tags at all, some problems I saw: Protectron's Gaze iron sights not shown correctly: https://i.imgur.com/GVeIXdN.png AK47: https://i.imgur.com/8SH5wVo.png : right click pressed, no right sights https://i.imgur.com/OZGT2ur.png : firing with right click pressed Also as I've never used Powered Power Armor before, is it supposed to give this big -10 AGL bonus or something is wrong? It's fully charged https://i.imgur.com/Hj3eXFD.png Most of power armors I've tried are -10 AGL except mysteriously for Enclave Hellfire that gives only -3 https://i.imgur.com/Cfpw6tG.png About the newer edit for Wasteland Patch Collection, it says "Open xEdit and select only the desired patch. After xEdit' loads any record in the patch that includes a master record from 20th Century Weapons can be removed. When all of these records are removed, run the Clean Masters command in xEdit on the patch plugin and the master reference to 20th Century Weapons will be removed." Does this mean that it must be done manually, checking one record of the patch at a time to see if it includes 20th century dependency?

I'd like to install the STEP patch from The Wasteland Patch Collection (TWPC) DIFF3-RI-EVE-MMM-WMK-PRA-F3HMG-F3HF-20CWRE-IMPACT-UUF3P-FWE Patch.esp but I don't have 20th century weapons installed. In the guide it says I have the files required for xEdit 20th Century Weapons -Plus- Reborn Cut Weapons.esp 20th Century Weapons -Plus- Reborn FWE-WMK-Calibr14_V1_70RC_18668.esp 20th Century Weapons.esm but I don't know how to remove the references, how can I do it? == Also, some things I noticed while following the guide: https://wiki.step-project.com/User:Kelmych/Fallout3#Patches Mod T3TForFWE, it says That means I need to create a new patch right? I applied the modification mentions and made a new esp (MP5ForFWE-fix.esp) by selecting the entries that needed fixing, Right Click=>Copy as override into=>New file. Was this correct? I installed the Smaller Crosshair, big dot version but it is replaced by Vanilla HUD Remastered later on, this could be considered. The link in "Fallout 3 My Way - Resources (part 2)" section is https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/2282lacking an "1" in the end and leads to an irrelevant mod. Very small but why not mention it :P "Scribe Yearling takes all Pre-War Books" has a "Brisa Almodovar edition" and is recommended by LOOT and I used it instead, should I avoid it and use the normal version?

Maybe he may need to just rehost them to another site, possibly mediafire?
-
I mean the 1.5.1 updates for BS and PL,
-
Anyone have those two? https://wiki.step-project.com/User:Kelmych/Fallout3#DLC_Retexture

I was referring to the retail version of 2009 GOTY (which I have 2 copies, I though I had the launch v1 and GOTY), I don't have it on Steam It is Securom protected afaik
-
Hm, I have the launch and GOTY retail editions, didn't know there was a GOG (isn't it too new for GOG?)
-
Hm I see, I will go to FO3 way then as I seek the original feel.
-
My last replay of FO3 was at launch in 2008 so I have really bad memories of hundreds of crashes so my question is mainly on stability, if the newer version of the FNV engine can be more stable and I can ignore the FNV content completely
