Dyndolod causes CTD on loading screen
nicktheduke replied to nicktheduke's question in DynDOLOD & xLODGen Support
Thanks for your timely assistance, sheson. I appreciate everything that you do. Tonight first thing I did was build Dyndolod with just Solstheim. Did a speedmult 250 and ran around a bit outside of Riverwood. Didn't crash. And then something odd struck me: Even when I don't click the checkbox for Beyond Bruma when generating Dyndolod worldspaces, I still get errors pertaining to missing meshes from Beyond Bruma at the bottom of the Dyndolod generation window. Thinking that might be the culprit, I deactivated Beyond Bruma and my Requiem patch when generating, but the game still crashed on loading save. So I'm sitting here trying to think logically. It seems to be Tamriel related. Now I've deleted Tamriel worldspace from Dyndolod and the game loads. I ran around. No crash. Which at least solves the Solstheim issue. Taking a look again with xEdit, I noticed some records aren't being carried over. Things like XCLR - Region, MHDT - Max Height Data, XCWT - Water, Editor ID, and then there were some Record Flags from new USLEEP not being displayed in Dyndolod. Since I'm grasping at straws right now, I decided to forward everything over as much as I could into Dyndolod.esp and mark as many entries as possible in green (except Max Height).... Then I checked Dyndolod.esp for errors. There were a few Moveable Statics with <Unknown: 6> in the Record Flags, where I removed the Unknown entry. And it still crashed. Which makes it seem you are correct in that there is some situation with meshes/texture? What are your thoughts? Which log should I provide if need be? Also, these were the last few mods I added before things started crashing: + Vampiric Thirst + Requiem patch+ Follower Commentary Overhaul+ Religion+ Cleric + Spell Research+ Spell Crafting+ Windhelm Exterior Altered+ Airship and Archaeology patches for Legacy of Dragonborn+ Skyrim Is Windy+ new update for Notice Board Updated+ Vigilant Voiced Add-on+ Heathfire Extended + Requiem patch+ new update from USLEEP+ new update from Cutting Room Floor Going to take a look at all of these and see if I can find out if there's anything mesh/texture-related happening... -
Dyndolod causes CTD on loading screen

Sheson, That link to Nexus discussion re: overmodding states "Of note, Sheson has already included an option in DynDOLOD to reduce the number of persistant references that it contributes to the game." What option is this? Was it Temporary=1? -
Dyndolod causes CTD on loading screen
nicktheduke replied to nicktheduke's question in DynDOLOD & xLODGen Support
Temporary=1 didn't work. Everything loads including Dyndolod MCM but as soon as I enter a new cell, the game freezes. I will take a look at removing some things but everything was fine until I added some scripted mods (Religion, Cleric, DVA, Vampiric Thirst, etc) I did add Beyond Bruma before that but it was loading fine with Dyndolod active (with Bruma deactivated in Dyndolod build)... -

Dyndolod causes CTD on loading screen
nicktheduke replied to nicktheduke's question in DynDOLOD & xLODGen Support
I have no idea why the game doesn't load with DLCSolstheimWorld loaded in Dyndolod... Any help? EDIT: Decided to try to play without DLCSolstheimWorld, but the game eventually freezes and crashes when MCM menu registers... -
Dyndolod causes CTD on loading screen
nicktheduke replied to nicktheduke's question in DynDOLOD & xLODGen Support
UPDATE: I figured it out. Or at least narrowed it down. Seems when I delete the worldspace DLC2SolstheimWorld from Dyndolod.esp, the game loads. I am not sure what happened because the game loaded last time w/ Dyndolod after I added anything Solstheim-related. So I'm a bit stuck. @sheson I hit you up on Discord. Will post here if I figure out what's causing this. -
Dyndolod causes CTD on loading screen
nicktheduke replied to nicktheduke's question in DynDOLOD & xLODGen Support
Hi again. So I deleted all worldspaces from everything but Tamriel. Only then does the game load. Will start deleting chunks at a time to see if I can narrow it down. -
Dyndolod causes CTD on loading screen
nicktheduke replied to nicktheduke's question in DynDOLOD & xLODGen Support
Sheson! Thanks for the quick reply. So I'm looking at my Papyrus log and I don't have anything related to nifs. See here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/135dSPGWABeiSsBJaD4E71zAF-AZTxTa6/view?usp=sharing Will check out the thread you mentioned but I was hoping someone with knowledge like yourself can shine a better light on the situation. Also, the crash occurs only on loading screen so it's not like Dyndolod even has a chance to kick in? I did check for errors in xedit and a few things popped up but I'm not sure why/how to correct. -
Hi all. Discussing this over here on Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/comments/7av8nu/help_dyndolod_consistent_ctd/ Basically, I've created a pretty massive LO with a lot of merges based on SRLE LOTD Req'd guide. I start a new game and everything seems to run fine but as soon as I add Dyndolod.esp, the game crashes on loading screen. I've read the manual. I've got nothing missing when generating. I've got Crash Fixes custom memory block. I've looked at corrupt nifs, which I found a few in Beyond Bruma, but I'm not generating Dyndolod for that worldspace. I've turned on Papyrus and had nothing Dyndolod related when it CTD'd. I've run out of ideas for what I can do to fix this, which is unfortunate since Dyndolod has been in my LO for many years. Any ideas? Please help!

I came back just to tell you yes, yes it does. Belmont Boy is doing his own thing and I'm sure its good. This guide is just a more "complete" overhaul. Plus I have a thing about crowd sourcing. The fact that Belmont Boy asks people which mods should be included feels cheap and will probably lead to conflicts. Lastly, I want people to know that this guide does work. Takes a while, but you can definitely run it without crashes. Of course, I've been sitting here trying to get my own form of this guide running for weeks now, subbing out Requiem for Enai + MLU, etc.... -

FYI I get a Retificator error after merging Requiem Merges Patched When loading up in tes5edit and check for errors with all plugins for that merge selected, I get this message for konahrik patch: [00:06] KA_ArmorDragonPriestMaskBronzeHelmet "Bronze Mask" [ARMO:1B06FDFF][00:06] ARMO \ Armature \ MODL - Model Filename -> Found a TXST reference, expected: ARMA,NULL When checking, it showed that a texture was being used instead of an armor... I forwarded over records from ICH which fixed the Retificator problem -

the beautification page is great but a lot of SMC texture pack is missing FYI... -
I had same issue. Reverting back to v40 resolved the problem.

What are the consequences if we choose to have Helgen Reborn? I think I have Inns and Taverns + Helgen Reborn in current LO... Should I expect a bug? -

Wasn't Unbound only available on Steam Workshop for the longest time forever? Plus, I have a deep appreciation for Arthmoor. ASLAL + ASNB is great imo. -

As you know I'm going to use Wildcat on this next playthrough, but the older version still compatible with Reqtified patch... UCE - maybe make optional? It's only useful if you play a monk, right? Gray Cowl - I've heard good and bad things about the mod, but as you told me: if it isn't compatible w/ Requiem, you don't need it Another note: could you make KS Hairdos optional? No offense but I'm playing Skyrim not Final Fantasy lol :P I've always had an affinity for this hair mod in particular - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/36510/? -

Thanks so much for getting back to me. I'm currently at work right now so I don't have all my information on hand. However, here's the following things I've tried: enblocal.ini ExpandSystemMemoryX64 = i’ve tried both off/on ReduceSystemMemoryUsage = always on ReservedMemorySizeMb = i’ve tried 64 and 128 VideoMemorySizeMb = i’ve tried everything from 8gb to 16gb EnableCompression = i’ve tried both off/on AutodetectVideoMemorySize = i’ve tried both off/on skse.ini [General] ClearInvalidRegistrations=1 [Display] iTintTextureResolution=2048 [Memory] DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB= i’ve tried 768 and 1280 ScrapHeapSizeMB=256 CrashFixPlugin.ini (and yes, I have the SKSE preloader) UseOSAllocators = i’ve tried both off/on AlignHeapAllocate = i’ve tried both off/on CustomMemoryBlock = i’ve tried both off/on CustomMemoryBlockTotalSizeMb= i’ve tried everything from 64 to 140 (using console)I have also tried editing Papyrus as a last ditch effort but it did not fix the problem: https://sotrealms.enjin.com/optimzationsubinitweaks I was talking to someone on Discord and I am starting to think that it might be mod-related. Could be a merge or maybe something I added to the guide. However, I do notice I'm not the only person who has had memory allocation errors using the guide. After months of working on this, I'd hate to give it up but I am starting to go crazy :P -

Hi again. I've now spent months coming back to this guide since November, trying things over and over but still getting CTDs. I even went crazy and partitioned my hd with windows 7. I thought the dx9 memory issue on w8/10 was cause of my CTDs since Crash Fixes says it was possibly out of memory. But no luck. Funny that I've actually been reading about people with the same issue. I've been lucky enough to talk to jdsmith2816 on Discord all weekend but unfortunately the situation still hasn't been resolved. I have optimized my textures below 2k. I have tried all kinds of variables with SKSE, Crash Fixes, Memory Blocks Log, SSME, etc... The game CTDs before all memory is allocated according to MemBlocks. At the moment I have turned off Crash Fixes memory allocation for SKSE to generate crash dump. My RAM/VRAM usage is above 4GB so I assume a memory patch is working, however my GPU usage is being pushed to 99%. The thing is I have a GTX 1080 w/ 16gb ram on w7 which I would hope to be able to handle modded Skyrim. I checked for my hardware/memory/etc for any thing unusual but it all came back looking ok. Right now the game will load up and run smooth as silk but once I initiate a speed run towards Whiterun from Helgen, objects/trees/etc will turn into black polygons before CTD. Is there such a thing as mod overload? Although I believe my system should be able to run my SRLE Reqtified + SMC optimized, it seems that the game might be getting overloaded with information all at once which is causing CTD. Since the guide uses a lot of scripts, I slightly adjusted Papyrus settings. Nothing. I thought maybe it was CWO since it had been removed from guide, or maybe DyndoLOD was just too much for my system to handle, so I disabled both. Nada. I've also noticed discussion about Immersive Horses being a problem. I have IH merged with it's Hearthfire patch. I've also done a few other merges. What are the consequences of overmerging? Could a merge cause problems? - or - Could it be a mod that I installed on top of the guide (ex. Enhanced Landscapes, ThirteenOranges, etc)? I deactivated my LO (except USLEEP + Alt Start) but kept everything active in left hand pane of MO (textures, etc), and was able to speed run to Whiterun without CTD. So maybe there's a mod conflict. I am currently thinking of disabling/enabling mods one by one to see if there's a problem. I'd appreciate any help/feedback. Thanks! -

Hi all. I desperately need help. I've been trying to play a modded Requiem playthrough for what seems like forever now. No matter what I do I have performance issues or CTDs. I figured it was windows 8/10. I noticed this guide last year and added a few things but I always run out of memory according to Crash Fixes. I even tried to trim down the amount of textures used and not use SMC pack, but I still crash. I have an i7-4790k, 16gb ram, gtx 1080. I know my system can handle it. I even installed windows 7 to maximize memory usage. Yet something is happening that is causing the issue. Could it be mod-related? Improper config of .ini's? For more info, I have been discussing the issue on reddit here: https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimrequiem/comments/5vcv96/srle_legacy_of_the_dragonborn_reqtified_windows_10/ I'm currently at the state of starting over although I really don't want to go through the process again. Any thoughts or feedback would be appreciated. -

I'd be very interested in a guide. In fact, I had started writing one myself a few months ago. Never finished it tho :(
