actually I'm pretty sure skytest does not add any scripts. it does add lots of spawns which are of course taxing on the CPU, but there's a lite version without them if you want called Realistic Animal Behaviour. I've used it for a good while and it works great, I'd certainly recommend it if you want smarter fauna but are worried about too many spawns :) -

Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback
Gekko64 replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
I know, I use skse 1.7 :D -
nice setup garfink, looks similar to mine yet different in some ways. my views: I don't use SIC hardcore and use adept difficulty, I think changing difficulty alters challenge way too artificially and I dislike that. I don't use scarcity, morrowloot and less quest gold. I feel with proper modding there's no need to mess with the loot lists. I do use trade and barter to fix the economy :D I don't use extended encounters, I think the current version just adds too many encounters, due to the way it works it always fires both a modded AND a vanilla encounter. hopefully this gets fixed. I do use Radiance and DFB random encounters. these both add seamlessly to the game :) I've tried the populated series but they add too many npcs imo. for example as soon as you approach fort greymoor you get swarmed, I'd only suggest it for people using multiple followers. I prefer Immersive Patrols to Populated lands, and populated towers and dungeons often adds more enemies to places that already had some. feels similar to asis increased spawns which I disable. instead I like skytest, it adds some much needed fauna instead of more npcs and the diverse faction relations are great, much better than ganging up on the player. I don't use revenge of the enemies as I think it gives too many powerful abilities to enemies which they don't really need with improved AI and toughness that other mods give them. regarding leveling, I use skyre which includes an encounter zones plugin similar to the optional asis one. it's NOT deleveled, instead it's both place and player centric which I find to be the best leveling method. there's low and high level areas around, usually getting harder as you get further from civilization. but they still have a min/max range so they will scale a bit with the player level. I also really like the combo dynamic loot plus npc enchants fix since npcs will use enchanted loot against you :)

Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback
Gekko64 replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
regarding that post, I have to say SSME brought upon a reinassance in skyrim modding for sure. I'm now running most of the above ( currently missing helgen, etac, vampire/werewolf and duel ) , plus SkyRe, Radiance, Automatic Variants and Asis, on top of a srle lite ( no script heavy mods ) , and it runs very well. worth mentioning my hardware is core i5-2430m ( 2.4 dual core ) , radeon 6770m 2gb ( it's like a desktop 4850/70 ) , which seems encouraging for those with much beefier rigs. I'm not even using ENBoost since I use an older enb version for performance, so I've reduced most texture replacers to 1024 color and 512 normal maps, the difference is hard to notice at 720p anyway. the gameplay is much better, world scales less with the player, reasonably challenging, world feels populated but not too action packed since I don't use Asis increased spawns. -

this beauty just came out: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/52067 :)Neo, do you think SRLE is going to improve gameplay as extensively as the old version in the future? I really dig the "leaner" paradigm you have adopted for LE, but gameplay is too vanilla-ish now imo. there's a few top quality mods I'd love to hear your opinion about: 1) Duel: not sure why it got removed, there may be better alternatives but vanilla combat is pretty terrible imo, you just keep spamming attack with zero tactics, feels like Diablo XD 2) Skytest: again, not sure why it got removed, there's also a lite version available and patches for SIC and USKP: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/46495 3) High Level Enemies has a SIC edition available: https://sites.google.com/site/immersivecreatures/hle---sic-edition , they fit just perfectly together. 4) lifestorock's DFB random encounters: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/32394/? : this is another one that goes great with SIC as well, highly configurable too. 5) Apocalypse and Thunderchild: again, top quality additions from a very talented modder. 6) Immersive Weapons: just perfect alongside immersive armors 7) the lore friendly version of the updated Monster Mod: goes great with SIC, there's also a patch for skytest: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/46495 8) Dynamic Loot: top quality mod, goes great with npc enchantments fix and has patches for immersive armors and weapons and jaysus swords. 9) Dragon Combat Overhaul: just great with deadly dragons, dragon fights are truly epic without being overly difficult. 10) Better Vampires and Moonlight Tales: not sure why they were removed, huge gameplay improvement over vanilla. 11) Helgen Reborn: top quality DLC like expansion, just like wyrmstooth and falskaar :) 12) Unique Grasses: version 2.0 is incredible, an awesome addition to SFO. Caribou Gone is also a fantastic enhancement to the landscape, and works just fine with SFO. 13) ETAC / Immersive Settlements / other town expansions: these greatly improve the various towns and cities imo. there's also more lightweight alternative which is great: Better Town Textures, which is compatible with BDS, ELFX and no snow under the roof. also improves mills :) 14) Immersive Patrols: great seamless addition to the game, there's also an improved version available: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50389/? 15) Fantasy Soundtrack Project: amazing addition to the music variety of the game. -
wanted Installing ASIS and SkyRe with some additional stuff
Gekko64 replied to Iroha's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
I've seen mention of a SkyRe-DB Patch.esp , is it still useful and/or available somewhere? -
it's true though, they stop working correctly together after a certain ENB version. they work just fine with v113 for example, but with v200 I get artifacts when looking around :/

ENB Recommendations and Framerate Suggestions
Gekko64 replied to phazer11's question in Post-Processing Support
I'd like to recommend an ENB called RealLike. stunningly beautiful without being oversaturated, and the performance hit is almost unexistant :) -
sorry for necroing, but this seems like a relevant thread for my question :D my configuration is as follows: i5-2430m ( 2.4 dual core ) 8gb ddr3 ram amd radeon 6770m 2gb ddr5 vram which is much, much less than what Neovalen had in mind for Skyrim Revisited, but running high details, medium shadows at 720p it runs TPC/tropical skyrim + many gameplay mods quite smoothly and stable ( I've experimented CoT + RLO + ENB but the fps hit was noticeable even without fancy ssao etc and I actually prefer RCRN since it gets rid of the gray vanilla tint perfectly imo ) I'm planning to revert to non-tropical ( although I'll use grassification + grass on steroids , fell in love with it after watching the COT 3.0 trailer :D ) , and I'm not sure if I should wait for the TPC update or just use Skyrim Revisited as the foundation for my next install ( or STEP actually, but I love SRO.. ) . is this project intended for high end systems only ?
