Certain NPCs have missing face and Giant red "!"
thorgal replied to SaikaDarkmoon's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports
ok , did you delete the records from FCO with TES5edit as stated in the guide ? A red exclamation sign means the game cannot find a texture file and if only the face is missing , FCO and NVR3 change those so i would start looking there -

something ive been wondering : the .esp's that are merged in the Bashed patch and are disabled , does it still matter where in the loadorder those disabled .esp's are located or are they now useless and their location no longer matters ? -

Alternate start is now on version 3.0.7 -
Just a quick question : can you still alter your characters appearance while far in the game ? As long as i don't change my characters race all perks should stay remembered . right ?

i think your DSR download might be wrong ? In addition to those files ,there should also be a interface , meshes .scripts folders and an .esp . -

just rechecking my mods and i wonder if i missed this the first time : For Serious HD retexture do you only need the base 2048 texture file or should the update also be installed ? -

DRAUGR Retexture of DRaugr enemies . Might be worth a look Neo . -
Will look for that version , also for the violens resolution , i should just put DCO Underneath Violens in the left pane , right ? I am aware this Mod breaks the scripting of the dragons in that fight making it unwinnable and is the primary reason i think why Neo is not including it in SRLE . I remember that the author was looking into the problem ,but now that DCO is the last upload i don't think that is going to happen , which is a shame ( if it was fixable without breaking anything else to begin with ofcourse ) On previous playthroughs i uninstalled it before the fight and re enabled it afterwards and while that might not be the best thing to do for your save file , i encountered no problems afterwards . ( that was with a much lighter modded game though )

I decided to make this its own thread It always annoyed me how in vanilla Skyrim , Dragons always get injured at 35 % health upon which they could no longer fly , this turns dragon fights into a predictable pattern that repeats over and over again . Another major problem with vannilla dragons is that if you kill one in midair said dragon will keep happily flying around burning everything until it decides to land , and then promptly dies upon touchdown Enter Dragon combat overhaul with this ,Dragons re now unpredictable in their actions and can still fly even after the 35 % mark , they get new abilities ,powers and can even call in reinforcements and use limit breaks to make your life miserable . Also now when a dragon gets killed while in the air it will go ragdoll and fall out of the sky or like in the old trailers piledrive into the ground . also dragons have 3 new death animations In short , for me this is a must have mod . I want to use this mod with SRLE . There is just one problem , it conflicts with both No spinning death animation mod and Violens . How should these conflicts be resolved in TES5Edit ? Is there even a need to do Conflict resolution with these mods ?

One easy way to see if a mod is causing it is to disable the .esp's in the right pane starting from the bottom . Disable 5 each time and start your game to sea if it fixed it , if not disable another 5 and repeat untill it is fixed . Then enable an esp and go in game , repeat until you find the culprit .

So am i right in thinking that Frostfall is now the only mod that we are waiting to update ? the guide is already up to date on all of the other mods that updated save frostfall ? -

All i can tell in the end is that the conflict with NSDA doesn't "seem" to need any CR to function properly . I am not sure about the conflict with Violens though . @ Neo , true , the Miraak fight dragon scripting breakjs when using the mod . The author of DCO was aware of this and might have been looking to fix it in another update but now that it is on a final version i doubt that will happen . -

I gave it a quick shot with your suggestions but no dice ( mind you my TES5Edit skills are pretty much nonexistent so i might have screwed up somewhere ) but here where my findings : without any CR : dragons do fall out of the sky upon killed and on the ground do their death animations or just straight ragdoll ( one strange point , i couldn't get their explosive death animation to trigger even at 100% so idon't know if something in SRLE is messing with it or not ) . With your CR patch suggestions : dragons acted like in vanilla with the no spinning death mod ( flying around until they land and then straight to ragdoll without an animation I decided to leave it out of my modlist since i wanted to get my playthrough started , but then came the onslaught of major mods getting substantial updates has made me decided to wait after all :p -

Like Darth , i have decided to also wait with my playthrough of Skyrim . I was gonna do one but the resent onslaught of major mods being updated which in turn requires other mods to be updated has made me wait untill the guide is back in a stable form + waiting till SRLE+ explorers guide is finished as well . Ill still go back ingame sometimes just to screw around in it when bored ( read : spawn an army of werewolfs in different holds and watch the ensuing carnage :p ) -

I tried your suggestion but it doesn't seem to work . dragons go straight to ragdoll . I tried playing without the CR and it seems to work fine . though I assume that without it i won't get any killcams , right ? -

well , NSDA removes the vanilla dragon death animation so dragons go straight to ragdoll upon landing . But we want to keep the death animations from DCU . Taking a look inside DCU idle section gave me this : so should this be put into the CR patch ?
