  1. I have 2GB cards but would definitely recommend 3GB+ if you can swing it. I'm only hitting about 1600-1700MB VRAM on my Skyrim Revisited install but it took some optimizing and no ENB use. Otherwise its up above 2000MB.
  2. :facepalm:Â Thanks! Can't believe I missed that.
  3. I'm not seeing the 'Closer Quivers Longer Arrows' entry on the wiki. I'm probably blind but can anyone give me the # location in the wiki, please?
  4. Anyone have some ideas as to how to utilize multiple profiles more efficiently? The way it is now, if I want to try someone else's mod build I have to deal with the entire mod folder showing up in my list, even those inactive. Makes it really tedious.
  5. Is there a conflict somewhere...in first person after killing someone I see blood on my hands/arms but when I go to 3rd person view there is no blood. Am I missing a setting somewhere maybe?
  6. Before you throw alot of money after that please also remember to look at the rest of your hardware... It would be so sad to spend alot of money on just a gfx card when it is in truth the entire computer that matters when you run the game engine at these extremes! Heck even Neo have to halfsize the majority of his big textures mods, and his computer is almost as close to the best of the best as you can get today. Which just proves that the stability of SR is not purely dependent on having a great gfx setup. Nah, was just a tongue-in-cheek comment. Wasn't being serious :)
  7. Screw it, I'm just going to use the EVGA Step-Up program and get 4GB cards. I wish I would have started with lower textures and never witnessed the 2048+ types :D
  8. Now that is a great find, I like that one. Just a note, I did my SRO DDSopt and also TreesHD and it seems to be close to 300mb less in VRAM when running around Riverwood. Before I'd hit 2000mb sometimes more, now I'm around 1750mb.
  9. Sorry all, just want to clarify exactly how to optimize the SRO textures so I don't break anything. Process is same as in SR guide for vanilla/DLC texture optimization (only instead of extracting the .bsa, I would just point DDSopt to the SRO folder?). Then I would go into the 'Constraints' tab and set both resolutions to desired limit. I would select all *_n.dds files and then process those to a temporary output folder. Then I would copy those to the SRO folder, overwriting existing files. Is this pretty much it?
  10. Had same problem it is an easy fix. When your first start BUM in the bottom left section do this:- Drag MVAIvarstead.esp to below MVABasic.esp - Drag MVARorikstead.esp to below MVAIvarstead.esp So should end up looking like this: MVABasic.esp MVAIvarstead.esp MVARorikstead.esp After that is done you should be able to save the rules without a problem. Yup, can confirm this works. I had to move them into order then do MVABasic.esp, save and close, then open BUM again and do the other two .esp files. As far as the updated Flora mod, when its said it is like the summer edition, what does that mean? I've never seen the summer edition - does it change the apperance that much?
  11. Ah, thanks :) Just had to do one at a time. Appreciate it.
  12. Not getting 'More Village Animals' to correctly sort with BUM. When I go to set the rule for 'MVAIvarstead.esp' it says "'MVABasic.esp' is defined in the user list but this rule needs to be moved after it". Same with MVARorikstead.esp.
  13. Man, I just added the Scots pine file. Hope there isn't anything breaking in it. I am getting some strange artifacting in Riverwood - specifically above Riverwood Trader. The entire upper part of the building is translucent. All I did was update my SMIM, add Scots pines, and removed GetSnowy.
  14. There is one in Dragonsreach near the Jarl's living quarters. That's the only one I've seen so far.
  15. Got my install done last night (whew!) and was having CTD due to VRAM limit (on 2GB cards, was hitting over that several occasions). I disabled TreesHD Punish and also went into the pref.ini and changed shadowmapresolution from 4096 to 2048. Started up a new game with Alternate Start (love this mod) and was playing for 1 hour straight with VRAM no higher than 1800mb. I'll be playing more today to see what happens. So far I'm really loving the guide set up, thanks so much Neo! Made Skyrim a new game for me. So awesome to start in a random wilderness as a camper with no items and just go exploring. One question I do have: I never did a STEP install, I went straight to SR. Looking through the STEP 2.2.1 guide there is little to no mod editing/adjusting with TES5Edit or CK. How is that possible?
  16. Oh man, how embarrassing. Chose 'no' for BSA extraction long time ago; reset of dialog did the trick. Thanks, neo. Do I need to go back and re-install all of the mods with BSA now so they unpack?Â
  17. For 'Wet and Cold', how do I not install the .pex script? The package only includes an .esp and .bsa file. Do I need to extract the .bsa, delete the file, then repack?
  18. Just would like to clarify something pertaining to mod updates: when I manually install mods in MO, should I be entering the Nexus info so I can make the updates easier? Otherwise, if I manually update them, do I just install it as normal and MO will prompt me to overwrite?
  19. I'm starting to think I should have gone with 2K textures rather than 4K (when available). I'm running 2x 660Ti 2GB cards and am worried the VRAM is going to be too much. I'm currently starting The People of Skyrim - so far the game is running fine (at least through the Helgen start) - but it looks like a number of textures are going to be added in the next few sections as well. If that ends up being the case, do I need to go back and reinstall each mod w/ the lower textures?
  20. I'm guessing something went awry in your install of BOYD or related patches. Please reinstall and regenerate related patches. Also be sure using latest TES5Edit. So, I went and and looked at it in TES5Edit and there was, in fact, a bunch of red entries under NPC (Actor). I decided to use the guide and re-check the edits and sure enough I missed 2 of them; did those and loaded the game again and was able to start a new game. There are still red entries under VMAD -> FormID for a bunch of NPCs but it looks like that is the mod doing its thing? I'll continue down the guide and cross my fingers :) Just want to say thank you for the guide, its unbelievable. All the edits and such look daunting but I know its going to make Skyrim fantasticÂ
  21. Anyone having issues with 'Bring Out Your Dead'? After I finished 4.5.2 'The Bricks' section, I went to start a new game and got CTD right when the main menu loaded. I disabled ALL mods from 4.5.2 and started up and it loaded a new game fine. I then started enabling mods 1-by-1 and loading the game after each one. It wasn't until I enabled 'Bring Out Your Dead' that it CTD again. I disabled it, and of course the game loaded up fine again.
