  1. Has there been a recommendation for Harvest Overhaul? Never had a problem with it and it adds a much better system for alchemy, IMO. Much more immersive.
  2. Saw it myself. That's BOSS team trick for replace ASIS_AI by SKyRe_AI. But in guide I recommend to use ASIS AI instead, or DUEL AI, no installation of SkyRe_enemies. Physycally it should be loaded as usual if not using customizedAI option of ASIS. But it will be moved. Masterlist limited in opportunities. This is mechanic overhaul, but in general, yes, it will be more difficult than vanilla. Nothing should go wrong, but yes, you can deactivating troublesome mods or blocklist them and rerun patchers. Safe change. Only aspect in such points - skyRe was not balanced for it. But anyway, it's not a problem. Uploading Fantasy music overhaul.. ... .. ... Thanks so much for the reply, mate. Truly appreciated! And for uploading FMO! Absolutely love that mod. Cheers.
  3. Sounds good to me :) Thanks!
  4. So, I finished my fresh install of SR and am going to go ahead with this guide (thank you so much!) I did go ahead and backup my Overwrites folder as well as made a new profile in MO (straight copy of SR). I would like to list the mods I chose and if anyone can just let me know all is well I'd appreciate it. SkyRe - Main, Races, Encounter Zones, Survivalism (as well as the reproccer patches) Duel ASIS Forgotten Magic Apocolypse High Level Enemies I have not added any mods in addition to SR - no follower add-ons, weapons, etc. Will these give me the additional difficulty throughout the game, in addition to the later levels? Also, what steps would I take should something going wrong? Is it just a matter of deactivating the mods and re-running the .jar patchers from SR?
  5. This is what I did on my new install and it works fine. On my previous build I did the merge/replace and it was fine as well but I found I like to see every mod doing its thing. Is there any word on 'Fantasy Music Overhaul' and why its currently not available? I loved this mod and am kicking myself for not making a backup of it previously.
  6. Hey Aiyen, have you tried ERSO (Erkeil Real Skyrim Overhaul)? Just curious if you have and what your thoughts are on it. I blew up my install so am doing the guide from scratch but before I did that I tried out ERSO with Duel and it seemed really promising. But I mainly play Ranger (bow/dual wield) so am unsure of the magic implications. If anyone else has tried ERSO let me know - I'm really having a hard time deciding which overhaul to employ. When I initially looked into overhauls I tried Unleashed first but you pointed out to me how the scaling works later in the game. Doesn't sound ideal. The first levels are intense for sure, I could barely get through Bleak Falls but it would be nice if it maintained that difficulty later on. I understand the author's viewpoint in that your character SHOULD be stronger due to the skill progressions but its not what I am looking for.Â
  7. You guys noticing that dungeons in RLO 4.07 are pretty bright compared to CoT? Honestly, I don't see the need for RLO dungeons unless you don't like the dark. torch-carrying experience. Kind of disappointed in that, actually.
  8. Looked at CoT 3.1 a bit. (I installed all the defaults.) The only mod it seems to overwrite is a texture for tundragrass from Skyrim Flora Overhaul. (I removed Immersive Thunder as that seemed too big of a conflict as I assumed the .esps would not play not. Plus I want to try out the Cot Sounds.) Dramatic clouds has textures but no .esp. The textures do not conflict with CoT 3.1. The note about a conflict a few months ago mentioned that whichever cloud texture you preferred should just overwrite the other. CoT winter seems to overwrite a few SFO (farm house and dirt) and World Map items. I wonder where to put CoT in the process. If it's before textures I will get to keep SFO's tundragrass, otherwise I will get CoT's. CoT Winter (if I use it) should go after SFO so I get the new snowy goodness. BOSS seems to have the esps all sorted out. I'm kind of shocked that MO does not list any conflicts for RLO or or Skyrim Project Optimization. I guess this means their order doesn't matter so long as I let BOSS sort out the esps. So, I decided to try CoT3.1 w/ RLO in lieu of RCRN, which I had been using. So far, so good. I am using CoT Winter & Nights Level 5 & Sounds then RLO interiors/dungeons. I have CoT below SFO - did not try it the other way. Just used BOSS and let it do its thing as far as .esp order. Only reason I messed around with this is because I broke my previous save with RCRN :( I swear I just need to leave well enough alone at some point haha!
  9. What's the best course of action in doing a fresh install of Skyrim/SR when using MO? I know the wiki has some info on doing a fresh Skyrim install but it doesn't mention how to proceed with Mod Organizer when all your mods are listed. Do you have to wade through the entire mod listing, activating as you go or is it better to just delete everything and start from scratch?
  10. Thanks for the help, Aiyen. So, do you find RLO better than RCRN? I spent this weekend trying out various solutions and RCRN, thus far, has been pretty good for me. On another note, somehow my Steam launcher got triggered and I got updated to 1.9. Freaked out for a bit then tried playing and so far everything seems ok, with SKSE and some other obvious changes of course. I took the opportunity to try some other gameplay mods and change some of my install items. Damn Steam!
  11. I use CoT (default nights) + RLO (minus vanilla weathers). Seem to work ok although the interiors seem a little too dark for me, specifically the dungeons. One of these days hopefully we get that perfect mod that does everything ;)
  12. I think I figured out what I did to make Proc Patchers not work. I moved my MO to C:\ but left the mod directory in D:\Skyrim Mods. All the mods load fine but I don't think the Proc Patcher works that way. If I install them manually, I can see them in Data tab in MO and run it that way. Previously I had none of the AV packages in overwrite, now they are there. Guess I'll move MO back to D: drive.
  13. I am using MO, however, I have found that when running the AV patcher or any other SkyProc Patchers, they do not see my load order. I have to manually install them to my Skyrim\data then open in MO. Is this normal?
  14. I'm so nervous about updating to 1.9. Really into my current character and so far have had no issues. Thing is, most mods will be updated and improved with 1.9, argh! Probably should bite bullet and start new game. At some point I want to actually play through the game LOL!
  15. Even though you turned off auto updates, if you run the Skyrim Launcher (vs. the SKSE launcher or ATTK launcher) you will get Skyrim 1.9 installed by Steam, so be careful not run the Skyrim Launcher. Thanks for the heads up! That would not have been fun.Â
  16. Sounds good. I'll make sure to stick with running ATTK/SKSE. Don't think I've even used the launcher save for initial setup. Thanks.
  17. How will SR move from 1.8 to 1.9? Just curious, with the amount of mods in the guide. Fortunately, I did heed your advice about turning off auto updates in Steam. Bless you! ;)
  18. So far, loving Unleashed, especially with Alternate Start (because you don't level anything from the tutorial and you start with pretty much nothing). I'm playing a wood elf archer/1h character and I had to hunt and get a follower just to stand a chance in Bleak Falls. Actually took me ~15 attempts to beat the Draugr Lord in the Barrow w/ a follower. And leveling is a lot slower, I really feel the immersion having to hunt, do a lot of alchemy, train, etc. With Duel Combat its good, too, as enemies have a different strat as opposed to just rushing at you, especially if there is more than one. So, the one thing about Unleashed is in the description page it says Realistic Needs isn't advisable as the game is harder and some of the Unleashed stuff gets overwritten (Unleashed adds some food benefits etc), so I haven't tried it. But I am using Frostfall and it works great. I might give RND a try as I love that immersion factor it brings.
  19. Not looking forward to 1.9 hahaha! I have a pretty solid build now - thanks to Neo and everyone else here - and have played ~ 8 hours and have had 2 in-game crashes, non-reproducible. Added a few other misc mods (i.e. Skyrim Unleashed, Duel Combat Realism, EZ2C Dialog, music changes). I, too, have noticed ATTKLite causing a bit more studdering and the initial load time for the game even on SSD is longer but I think I'll stick with it for now. The pros seem to outweigh the cons.
  20. I installed the SkyUI update (3.4) and don't have Wet and Cold in my MCM on my save. However, I can start a new game and it shows up. Is this the only way to fix it or is there a way through the console to re-initialize SkyUI?
  21. Was wondering this myself. I added Skyrim Unleashed and Duel Combat Realism to my build and holy crap. Game is tough even on Adept, and leveling is a nightmare. These coupled with Frostfall make for an interesting playthrough. Have to have followers now at early level and spend more time hunting and gathering than fighting. Â
  22. Anyone using SkyRe with this? If so, how is it working.
  23. Yup, I always do a replace in MO. Thanks.
  24. Just a follow-up: if you update a mod, say Guard Dialog Overhaul or something else with required edits, do you have to redo those edits? I thought this wasn't the case but now I'm questioning it since the .esp is saved after - which obviously would get overwritten in a mod update.
  25. Ah, I mis-typed :) Meant that the optimizations afforded me the extra 200-300mb of VRAM. I am not very confident in understanding ENBs, especially trying to tailor them to my set up, unfortunately. I usually will just play them as-is and if the FPS hit is too much or I don't like the look I delete them.
